Thrilled with their choice. They also released another great Serena ad today. Conservative Twitter is having a coronary, of course.

Thrilled with their choice. They also released another great Serena ad today. Conservative Twitter is having a coronary, of course. haven't looked yet but I bet they are! If I can say anything good about trump it would be that many people are feeling free to show their true selves. Into the light they go. It does make me sad when people I know (or I guess I didn't) are part of that intolerance and hate. I know it's better to know, but I guess I am surprised how hidden they have been and how many there are. That's the sad part.

I went and looked a bit on twitter. The "will never buy Nike again!" cracks me up.
1. they are protesting against someone else's right to do same. (protest)
Protesting protesting. Got it.
2. free market. that's what is about. Nike's (and anyone's) advertising will attract and repel some. That's how it works.

So glad I just spent $175.00 on Nikes for ds for back to school. Love both those ads.
It is becoming controversial even up here. A local radio station just posted it on facebook and while the vast majority love it there are a couple of idiots making completely moronic comments.

A bunch of angry white people are cutting up and burning their Nike gear and posting pics on the Twitters. Meanwhile people all over America have no socks or shoes. Way to “make America great.”
Nike made a business move here, to be clear, but at least it was a decent one.

DS2 will only wear Nike shoes. He's indifferent towards clothes in general but I may just go buy Nike shorts or a shirt for him. Plus DH needs a new pair of athletic shorts.

Fully support Kaepernick.
How on earth is the Serena ad controversial?

Nobody cares if you burn your clothing. Do some good in the world and pass it along to someone else who wants it.

I read a tweet that said, yes, of course, we should have a discussion about monetizing the resistance. But the reality is that Nike crunched the numbers and decided they could live without revenue from the racists and that's important.

Nike's a private company and free to use whomever they choose for their marketing.
Me? I never buy Nikes anyway so it makes no difference to me who they call their "face".
However, I continue to be thrilled to death that the NFL turned their back on him. But then, as private companies, they were also free to do so.
That's the beauty of a free market.

And I don't think Conservatives are any more ridiculous in their decision to boycott than those who chose to boycott Hobby Lobby, the BSA or any other conservative organization

My Nikes are old but I love them.
My DS will only wear Nikes and just bought him a third pair.
There's an outlet here...might have to make another visit.
Good for Nike!

And I don't think Conservatives are any more ridiculous in their decision to boycott than those who chose to boycott Hobby Lobby, the BSA or any other conservative organization Well, what matters to me is why and what is being boycotted. I'd rather be pro human rights than anti, but that's just me.
