Good. I need a new pair of athletics. Nike’s it will be. I’m still wearing the diamonds from zales. They had an add with same sex couples that the conservatives didn’t like. I told my husband that Xmas if he was getting me jewelry it will be from zales. He told the manager the story about the add and why we wanted to support them.

The ad copy states perfectly why I admire him. Not many people are that strong in their convictions. Most people would have given in to the pressure.

And conservatives feel that they are protesting on behalf of what is "right". So, it's the same thing. And everyone is entitle to protest whatever they choose. As I said, one is no more ridiculous than the other.

If you follow the news, Colin did not stay strong. He's even considering suing the NFL. He simply never believed that anything would happen to him for being so disrespectful of the flag. Now he's in a position where he has no choice about whether or not her plays.

But that is simply your belief. Doesn't make it right or accurate.

Doesn't make it right or accurate. Did you ever stop to think that Trump is the one that escalated this? A five, let me repeat that, a five time draft dodger. A five time draft dodger who disrespected a man that was a war prisoner while he was dodging the draft. While friends of my moms were getting killed while he was dodging the draft. If any man disrespect the flag and this country it’s Trump. No one can convince me any different. It’s trumps way of just dividing us more.

Did you ever stop to think that liberals will blame Trump for anything and everything?
It's absurd to make a claim that what happened to Kapurnick was Trump's fault. The NFL faced an incredible backlash from fans; revenues dropped dramatically. Not because of Trump but people Joe citizen was pissed off.
God, I'm surprised some of you don't blame Trump for natural disasters. Oh wait, you do.

So someone asks, ‘sincerely,’ why Colin Kaepernick is admired, and when s/he gets an answer, s/he immediately has an argumentative response. So much for ‘sincerity.’
More of the same from someone. I couldn’t be more shocked and surprised.🙄

Serious question here....what is it that makes Colin Kapernick a hero to you? He’s not my hero. But I can totally get down with people calling him a hero. Because: He stood up for something he believed in. He continued to stand up for something that he believed in even when it cost him everything. He stood up for something to make a change in the world. A change for the better.

Umm because every time something bad would come up.(stormy, anything about Russia) Trump would go on twitter firing people up about nfl players and calling them sons of bitches. Why? Hmmm. And most people who has it out for these nfl players are the ones that are Trump sheeples. A five time draft dodgers. Don’t you think that’s ironic.

I also think your attempts to conflate things is simply an attempt to continue to convince yourself that no matter what happens Trump is wrong, you are right and anyone who agrees with Trump is a sheeple. Psst...attitudes like yours are a large part of the reason Trump won. Believe it or not, reasonable minds can differ and your insistence on denigrating those who don't agree with you will likely insure his re-election.

He could have stayed silent. He chose not to. Shined that big ol presidential spotlight right on what this guy was doing. When the president of the United States of America shines a light in something, people all over the world take notice. To pretend like they don’t is ridiculous.

Hmmm, I don't recall Obama staying silent. But then, I'm sure you will find a way to claim "that's different".
And fwiw, I'm glad that the president of the United States had something to say about football player making millions of dollars in the US being disrespectful of the flag and the country that gave him the opportunity to become rich.

Kneeling is not disrespectful. Yeah, just go on telling yourself that; that Kapernick had his own way of being respectful to the flag during the National Anthem and meant no disrespect.

This reminds me so much of when Cassius Clay (Mohamed Ali) refused to be drafted during the Vietnam war. He registered as a conscientious objector and was nearly arrested. He lost his title and was vilified for years. All because a black man stood up for his ideals.

If you follow the news, Colin did not stay strong... How so? He whined and moaned when no teams would pick him up. He's considering suing the NFL. He's bemoaning the fact that he is being faced with the consequences of his actions. Don't the liberals here say that everyone has the right to freedom of expression but not to be free from the consequences of that speech? I know I've seen said here repeatedly. Seems the attitude changes when the person speaking out is saying something you agree with as opposed to something you don't. The fact is he squealed like a baby when he found that he was no longer attractive to any team because of the negative publicity and controversy he brought with him and he pouted and said "I'll sue" and of course the typical "racism" claim was made. IMO, that's not staying strong. That's being a baby.

So the new place to talk without all of the mean, rude, disrespectful libtards didn't work out so much? One would think that anyone with a modicum of common sense could understand that protesting against oppression of black people has nothing to do with disrespecting veterans but after some reflection, I guess that might depend on what you think those veterans were fighting for. Again, Nike crunched the numbers and decided they can live without the racists. I'm sure there are some nice white support shoes out there for the "fair and balanced" amongst us.

And this idiot has the audacity to go after these nfl players. And the way you guys don’t see it or don’t want to see it amazes me. What if the shoe was on the other foot. What if a Democrat was a five time draft dodger and said what he said about McCain and on the other hand calling someone out for (in his or her opinion) disrespecting the flag?

Fair and balanced. What a hoot. The tragic part is that you really believe that crap about yourself.
Nike crunched the numbers but they may have wanted to check with Starbucks and other companies that decided they didn't need conservative money and then quickly discovered how wrong they were.
Are you somehow upset that a conservative came back, Sarah? I was kind of hoping that some of the libtards like you would have found a modicum of the decency and acceptance you love to profess having (although we all understand that it only applies if people agree with you and your viewpoints). In any event, I will continue to come and go as I please.
And fwiw, I have found another forum. But sometimes it's interesting to come and see if you've become any better.

I did not make a mistake electing Trump. If faced today with the choice of voting for him or for Hillary, I'd do it again; and again; and again. Your side lost the election when you gave in to the idea that she was entitled to be elected and ignored all of her faults and the animosity she created. Your own blindness played a large part in Trumps election. Your insistence of vilifying Republicans will likely lead to his re-election.

I don't have to buy Nikes in order to have an opinion, Frankly,, this was a stupid comment you made. A great many people have a lot to say on this board about a great many subjects that don't involve or pertain to them.
