My work is actually offering Hamilton tickets! I've asked a couple of people and the response was no group sales for this show of ANY kind from the theatre company bringing it to town. I'm shocked we're going to be offering them. Guess who is going to be logged in at 7:30 Tuesday morning.
If I can get them my kid is going to be over the moon. What really sucks is the theatre where it will play has horrid acoustics so we're going to pay a lot of money to see them but not hear jack.
Take your shot!
**Update** Today was ticket day. Tickets were supposed to go on sale at noon. at 12:05 DH texts me, well?
Me: Tickets sold out in under 2 minutes.
Him: oh…
Me: they were supposed to go live at noon, he released them at 11:58.
Him: well…
Me: so it was a good thing I've been logged in since 9 AM because I GOT 2 OF THEM!
Literally, they went up at 11:58, and were GONE by noon.
DD has no idea. I'm beyond stoked. My Black Friday ninja skills have not gone dormant!

I bet work donates to the theater or some other organization that is given a certain number of seats. Good luck getting seats, and I hope they are really good ones! It is a great show.

I'm so jealous!! My daughter and I would love to go when it comes to Dallas but the cheapest seats are $400 a piece plus service fees and that is through the theater!! I just can't afford those prices! We are going to take our chances with the lottery...I am signing myself, my Mom and my husband to increase our chances!!

I just can't afford those prices! We are going to take our chances with the lottery...I am signing myself, my Mom and my husband to increase our chances!! Single tickets haven't gone on sale for Hamilton Dallas yet. The tickets you are looking at are likely resale tickets from season ticket holders. You can sign up for their program (enotes) to be notified when the tickets will go on sale. They are not doing this directly through Broadway Across America site, so it may be handled differently. But the way I have seen it work for other locations and the way we got our Houston tickets is that you sign up ahead of time and out of all those entries they draw a select number of people and place them in groups/Windows. If you are pre-selected you logon (with a special code password they will give you) and try to purchase during your group's designated time slot. Fair warning, they sell out basically immediately so sign up as many people as you can to increase your chances of being pre-selected. And if any tickets pop up, grab them don't wait to see if you get better seats. You will probably only be allowed to buy 4 tickets. Have an account already created well ahead of time, and your most tech savvy person logged on. This is different than the regular Hamilton lottery, which draws names for excellent seats at crazy low prices a day or two before each performance. Good luck! We will be trying to see them in Austin and Dallas as well with different family members. We purchased season tickets in San Antonio to guarantee we could see them here.

I have no idea how much they're going to be but I'm not spending $800 bucks either. We could go to Chicago for that kind of money and see the show in a better theatre too.

Dallas Hamilton information page.I was able to get tickets for $159 in Mpls. About a week before they were to go on sale you could become a verified buyer on Ticketmaster and basically get entered into a lottery for buying them. I found out the evening before that I was in the earliest buying window. My husband and I wrote out a list of dates that we could attend, picked one later in the run as our first try figuring less people would be trying to get tickets for that performance. We were able to get four tickets for that show. It took about 30 minutes to secure tickets. There were a lot of people who still weren't able to get tickets. I was kind of blown away that I was actually able to get them. I still thought it was expensive, but I knew that in the world of getting Hamilton tickets on their first appearance locally that I got a good deal.

I won the NYC lottery last week, found out Wednesday we’d be seeing the 7p Thursday show. My aunt and uncle live right outside the city, they actually were kind enough to drive us and pick us up right at the theatre door. We had seats in the second row. While waiting to get in, a gentleman in line was telling us he’d bought tickets that morning in the cancellation line, $220 each, he was in the same row as us. The show was unbelievably good. I have never even seen local theatre from that close to the stage and it made the whole experience even more incredible. We could see very facial expression and movement on stage. My daughter could not even blink, she was so mesmerized. I’m so lucky we got to go because $400 a ticket was not in our budget.

Hamilton is coming to Toronto in the 2019-2020 theatre season. My husband is waiting to snag two tickets. My daughter gets to go for sure. It may be our son driving her. They both love theatre! I work evenings so I'm most likely out of going.

Kinda crappy to put them up early though, glad you were paying attention! it's entirely possible his watch said noon. There were so many people trying to get on they crashed our little intranet. Or he could have seen the demand and just released them knowing it was going to be nuts. I'm curious what our numbers were for people logged in and waiting in the minutes leading up to noon.

Yay! I was lucky enough to get tickets when it came to SLC earlier this year, and only had to keep the secret for one day, until my son's 15th birthday! It was ridiculously hard to make it that 24 hours... do you still plan to wait until Christmas? (He is such a Hamilton fan, and had asked to see it when he first heard it was coming on tour. I told him not to hold his breath, because tickets would be impossible to get, but decided last minute to try to buy them anyway the day they went on sale.) IT WAS AMAZING. On a side note, Wicked tickets went on presale for SLC yesterday, and I bought tickets for me, my mom, and my three older kids. None of them have seen it, and I'm so excited! My brother and SIL will also be going with us.

Interestingly, this has sparked conversation about a trip to Chicago in the future. It's not that far for us and while are funds are being directed at our big trip this coming summer it's an opportunity to take a fun trip and possibly catch a big show in a much better venue than we have here. Not something I would have considered before DD got so invested in Hamilton.

My brother and SIL will also be going with us. It was just here and we loved it! Had heard rave reviews, but had no idea it was such a big production, we're still just shocked how much we enjoyed it. Super disappointed it won't be anywhere near us for the rest of the season.

Not something I would have considered before DD got so invested in Hamilton. Checkout Broadway Across America. Maybe there is a show near where you'll be traveling this summer. I love that there are 4 participating cities near us. Every show doesn't go to every city so we have more chances to see them. Plus, if we really like one we can see it multiple times.
