This is my FAVORITE season in terms of new releases - love the colors of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. Love the holidays - Thanksgiving and Christmas and Hanukah and New Years and others.
Love the "stuff" of this time of year in scrapping - from about Sept 1 thru end of Feb I really like the releases: collection packs, colors, stamp sets, die sets etc.
My least favorite scrapbook "season" is when all the spring lines/stamps/dies come out - so many pastel colors, too many "critter" stamps/dies and icons that are totally cliches (to me): eggs, chicks, flowers, etc.
What's your least favorite scrapbook "season" in terms of new releases? and/or your most favorite?

Autumn, I don't like dull/rich colours really. I always like my scrapbooks to be fresh and vibrant.

Christmas. There’s only so many ways to skin the red and green cat. Every year seems to get more crazy in terms of releases/excitement and I’m over here with my 5000 photos of the kids opening shirts and chapstick and whatever because they are in an awkward gift buying stage.
I think it’s the actual holiday that bugs me. I used to really love Christmas but my husband didn’t really celebrate before us (he was single) and he kind of burst my bubble and I never really recovered from that. Also anything that involves him being in the room or activity is tense. So yeah. Christmas blows. He’s worse than a teenager with his stupid eyes rolling. I think I need to find a different thread to post in...

Spring. It's my least favorite season in real life because it's so rainy here... and it goes on forever ("summer" doesn't start until about the 4th of July in my area). I have bins of supplies for the 3 other seasons, spring is in a folder...

Summer. I don’t go to the beach, swim, do tropical. I grew grew up in Southern California and fall/winter were foreign to me as a kid. I live in a permanent state of excitement/anticipation about mid-September when the runup to the three holiday months begin. I also now live in a region with four seasons. Fall is my favorite.

Another vote for spring. I dislike all the florals and pastels and cutesy. I also have a hard time finding back to school (which I know really isn’t a “season”) that fits what I’m looking for, although I don’t even really know how to describe that!

Summer and Christmas are my favourites! I'm a sucker for Christmas lines. And good bright sunshiney playful lines. And rainbows Not big on pastels, so yeah, spring and I struggle a bit. Fall is beautiful but I stuggle more to use those colours on my pages so I don't buy as much. And foxes. Cute. Too many.

as far as buying? I buy loads of Christmas and Fall/Halloween lines - way more than I need esp. since we don't have fall here and we're not big into fall/winter holidays/events.
I struggle with spring - pastels aren't really my thing - and summer - while we have a very long summer which starts around Easter and continues until around Halloween, the summer lines don't really work well with my photos or summer activities (which involve staying IN a/c as much as possible).

Summer is my least favorite. For one it's too flippin hot here to step outside, let alone spend time in the sun, and I don't do the beachy things either which seems to be what all the summer lines are about.
Fall is my favorite season, and I honestly can't think of a certain time of year that are my favorite on the releases, I'm so not a theme-y scrapper, that anything I like the colors and can use it for more than one thing are my favorite lol. Brights over pastels for sure.

Spring for me. Not fond of all the pastel, flowers and pink, pink and pink. But I see pink in every Season as far as scrapbooking goes.

My least.favorite is summer. Seems like everybody is producing pool and beach themes and that's just not a very prominent part of my life. Also travel stuff. We really can't afford to travel so our vacations involve seeing family mostly. I am all about family related scrapbook stuff.

Add me to the list of those who dislike the typical pastel pinky cutesy Spring and Easter lines.

I think spring. I have a retreat in February and then nothing big until convention in June. I do have my monthly crops but no scrap immersion.

I count "summer" as part of the "spring" releases ;*) They usually start w/the pinky-springy stuff and end w/the pools and beach balls. YAWN If you're going to do summer, how about a realistic BBQ (not one from the 50s) on a realistic deck w/realistic sayings about "Friends and BBQ", summer walks, fireflies, outdoor concert, or something like that. Not all of summer is pools and flamingos and jet planes.

We like to bike ride and we love walking our dog up the city River trail to the ice cream shop. I did have one summer collection this year, I have no idea of the manufacturer but it had some lovely paper with bees and fireflies. I loved that.

Easter is the worst for me because I don't like pastels & glitter. Halloween can be a close second because I don't want all of the dark gory things (witches, bats, cobwebs, monsters, etc.) that are part of so many lines.
Summer I can tolerate, but like I've said before, there are too many water lines that focus on a beach by a sea...not a lake or a pool. Christmas is usually the easiest for me to buy for because we do get snow (I just don't like it when there's so much focus on Cmas Day itself because our family gatherings are spread out over several days, not just the 25th.) I generally like Fall/Autumn lines, but don't really need much beyond what I will use for a couple of LOs about my boys raking leaves into a pile and jumping off our stoop into the pile.

Not sure that I have one because I don’t scrap according to the seasons or in terms of daily events. I scrap pics of my niece and then my vacation photos from lots of travels in the 90s.

Add me to the spring fling group...no easter bunnies or spring flowers are just not what I scrap too often..the good part is now I have a school aged grand daughter so that is now a plus...I am very limited with family photos too but usually try and work that theme in...

Spring is definitely my LEAST favorite. I don’t care for pastels and do not enjoy Easter at all. However? I absolutely LOVE both fall and Christmas!!

Spring is probably my favorite. Fall is a close second though. I hate all the holidays though....give me non-holiday specific paper all day long!

Spring. It's my least favorite color groupings (pastels) and also least favorite season. I just find it kind of boring.

Maybe spring as colors tend to be more pastel and pink. I like bright colors and summer is my favorite season.

I guess as a cardmaker my rationale is a little different, but I struggle with the summer stuff. I used to make lots of random cards but if I want to send them (or sell them) it really helps if they're less random, so focusing on holidays and occasions really helps. In the summer everything is flip flops and beach scenes and flamingos and there are no real holidays for cards except July 4th (which isn't really a card holiday except in the senior home donation circles) so I get tricked into buying stuff that's pretty but mostly useless. The summer releases for card kits like Hero Arts are pretty random.
Luckily I can always make Christmas cards in July.

Being in the Southern Hemisphere i find it really hard to get excited about any seasonal release that isn’t Christmas. There’s so much gorgeous autumn stuff around, but it’s not autumn for six months so I just can’t get into it!

Spring for me as well. I find myself scrapbooking spring events with general florals etc. rather than the typical “spring” Easter colors and lines.
