Ok, this isn't nearly as bad as that thread had me thinking I'm pretty happy with what I "ordered" lol.

Hmmm, I'm going to have to put some thought into this one. I'm not sure of a good way to translate this to a card. I'm not sure how I can fit three photos, four lines of journaling, and chipboard on a card. For once, using cardstock and patterned paper is the least of my worries! LOL

So I have to do.... 2 photos (gah!), Chipboard, Puffy Stickers, Doily or other lacy item and Both Cardstock & Patterned Paper. Ok, 2 photos will test me but the rest is good

I made my dinner choices by what I could actually eat and promise I didn't cheat and look here first Choose the number of photos, chipboard, Autumn colours, doily or lacy item, on cardstock only. Hmm... CoffeeCrafter use artistic licence. 3 photos = 3 stamped images/characters and 4 lines of journalling = a sentiment that's a couple of lines e.g. Thanks for always being there. That's how I make some challenges work for digital pages; what's the nearest comparable item or how can I see this differently?

LOL mmm yes, i could see where that might be a bit of a challenge lol...just do as JaneB suggested, switch out the photos for stamped images or 3 buttons or whatever and you could do a 4-line greeting or 4 lines of dots or...use your imagination. promise we won't kick you off the team!

Mine was delicious until I got to dessert. Rib Roast - Choose # of photos Biscuits - layers Salad - flowers/floral paper Gravy - something lacy/doily Stuffing - at least 4 lines of journaling Apple pie - Card stock only. stinkerbelle - are we limited to just these items or can we add things like enamel dots, ink splatters, etc?

The no pp thing had me grimacing but if I can sprinkle some ink, I'd be a happy camper.

Okay, here is my "menu": Turkey: 3 photos. Mashed potatoes: chipboard. Gravy: lace or doily Corn: glitter Pumpkin pie: both cardstock and patterned paper. Well within my "normal" scrappy activities. Not sure how I will fit in glitter and lace with chipboard--or with the photos I hope to scrap this month--but that is why these are called CHALLENGES !

Well crap. I own no lace or doilies.i don't like them.
And I think I may be genetically incapable of a layout without pattern paper.

And I think I may be genetically incapable of a layout without pattern paper. do you have any intricate dies or something you can cut with an electronic cutter? what about some sort of fabric? instead of patterned paper, try a washi background (and there's a challenge for that!) or maybe mixed media (challenge for that too)? you can do it! just use your imagination and substitute what you need to.

My "menu" is very similar to breetheflea: Turkey: 3 photos (stamped images for me) Stuffing: Four lines of journaling (sentiment for me) Mashed Potatoes: chipboard Cranberry Sauce: 6x6 papers Pumpkin Pie: cardstock and patterned paper

Well crap. I own no lace or doilies.i don't like them. And I think I may be genetically incapable of a layout without pattern paper. I can send you a few smallish white doilies if you like. I want to say they are 5-6 inches across, not too intricate but pretty.

I am good with mine except I always use white cardstock as every background but I will use only pattern paper and no other cardstock. White is just my foundation go to for everything.
3 photos, 4 lines of journaling, chipboard, doily and pattern paper. I can do this! 😊😊😊

I think I had rib roast, (any number photos) sweet potatoes, (enamel dots, or nuvos) stuffing, (4 lines journaling) green beans, (stickers) cranberry sauce, (6x6 papers) and pecan pie (patterned paper only)
The journaling is going to be the toughest part for me

Ok so I have:
Three photos Circles Doilies (I like the die idea) Chipboard Card stock only
It's manageable.
ooh! Re: the doily... What about an intricate stencil? Then I can use my sprays, too.

You could mount a sticker on thick cardboard and cut it out, or cut a few copies on the Cricut and stick them together for dimension? 6x6, just use some smaller patterns cause that's all that 6x6 is, 12x12 patterns shrunk down (that's why I like them so much, I prefer the patterns smaller usually). I know you'll do it Linda, you always do!

I got off so easy! Any number of photos, glitter, chipboard and cardstock plus patterned paper - it's any layout I ever create! stinkerbelle, can we go back for leftovers? After finishing the first dinner challenge, could we randomly select future dinners (I promise not to cheat) and create more layouts for additional points?? I like recipe challenges
