I don't know that I would say wrong exactly. They are forecasting for a huge geographic area and weather seems to change pretty quickly as it travels in from the desert. I think they have a better time forecasting for the towns and cities that are smashed up against the mountains because the storm clouds tend to get stuck there and dump snow. Otherwise I think the storms tends to pass over mostly without as much precipitation. If I want a really good idea of what to expect I check the weather channel app on my phone and watch the radar.
