MSNBC: The HOUSE has passed a bill for 5 BILLION dollars for the wall.. Where is the hell is that money coming from? We don’t have 5 billion dollars! And we definitely don’t have 5 billion dollars for some ineffective physical ode to Donald Trump. Seriously, where the fuck is the money going to come from? It won't pass the Senate.

He’s urging Mitch McConnell to use the “nuclear option” via Tweet. 🤨🙄
He really doesn’t understand how the government works.
He doesn’t even really understand what makes Mitch McConnell tick. Although I suspect he’s just trying to deflect and apportion blame, when it inevitably fails in the senate.
This sideshow would be entertaining, if it wasn’t reality. So much for the party of fiscal conservatism.

Given the alarming developments in the past couple of days, I thought I'd share this with you as an expression of my holiday wishes: 20 of the best two-ingredient cocktails I don't know about you, but this time of year makes me harken back to simpler times when we had rational and competent and reasonably decent people running the government, and so I thought simple cocktails reflected this theme. Cheers!

Seriously, where the fuck is the money going to come from? Where? Medicare, SNAP, Medicaid, housing Low/Moderate......... and the list goes on. It should not pass the Senate, BUT............. He’s urging Mitch McConnell to use the “nuclear option” via Tweet. 🤨🙄 he is also meeting with Republicans at the WH as he did yesterday. No such thing as working together. Although the Senate has many, both sides, upset about Syria and Mattis.... ETA: where is money coming from? Forgot to mention selling Nation Park properties as well as other FED properties. Veterans still not getting essential services and certainly not specialists.

trump’s first tweet of the day..
”Senator Mitch McConnell should fight for the Wall and Border Security as hard as he fought for anything. He will need Democrat votes, but as shown in the House, good things happen. If enough Dems don’t vote, it will be a Democrat Shutdown! House Republicans were great yesterday!”
His latest..
”The Democrats now own the shutdown!”
So much for taking responsibility for the shutdown.

Have we covered this? Liar liar pants on fire!! Whitaker rejected ethics official's advice he should recuse from Russia probeCNN Digital Expansion 2017 By Laura Jarrett, CNN Updated 7:45 AM ET, Fri December 21, 2018 Washington (CNN)Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker disregarded the advice of a Justice Department ethics official to step aside from overseeing special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation, according to a senior department official close to the process. Whitaker, who has previously criticized the investigation, never sought a formal recommendation about whether he needed to recuse, the source said. Instead, he received guidance on his options and the applicable rules over the course of three meetings with ethics officials and multiple discussions with his own advisers. Ultimately, it was Whitaker's decision, but the view of ethics officials will likely raise fresh questions for Democrats on Capitol Hill who have sounded the alarm about whether he will try to undercut Mueller's work. The ethics officials concluded there was no actual legal conflict presented that would require Whitaker to recuse himself. For example, he doesn't have a familial member involved in the probe, and unlike the situation with former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Whitaker was not a surrogate for President Donald Trump's campaign. ** Whole lot more at the link: www.cnn.com/2018/12/20/politics/matthew-whitaker-attorney-general-robert-mueller-investigation/index.html

I have a terrible thought that I can't get out of my head. And I am typically not a person whose mind goes in this direction,
But... I can't stop thinking that this abrupt decision of Trump's to pull our military completely out of Syria and dramatically decrease troops in Afghanistan is because he is thinking that maybe, just maybe, something terrible will happen that will distract from all the investigations against him or worse, will give him a chance to do something heroic to "save the day" and make himself look good so to speak.
I'm not usually doom and gloom like that, but to me, this is real scary, especially now that Mattis has resigned. And most especially that the only world leader who is praising Trump for pulling out of Syria is Putin.
And, this is something else I truly can't wrap my brain around. He is being investigated for collusion with Russia, and vehemently denies it, as we all know. So, why does he think it's a good move to do something so drastic that seemingly benefits only Russia?
Okay, go ahead and call me a crack pot. I can take it! LOL

I don't think it's far-fetched at all. Not only has he been increasingly the defense budget, but it's well-known that if you want higher approval ratings and your name in history books, go to war.

Okay, go ahead and call me a crack pot. I can take it! LOL You are NOT a crack pot! You are also not alone in your thoughts. Fox News is also not behind him with everything. ‘Fox & Friends’ co-host Kilmeade: Trump just ‘refounded ISIS’ by pulling troops out of SyriaBY MORGAN GSTALTER - 12/21/18 08:51 AM EST “Fox & Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade on Friday said President Trump had "re-founded ISIS" and was giving Russia "a big win" with his decision to pull U.S. troops from Syria. Kilmeade made the remarks during an interview with White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. “He also is doing exactly what he criticized President Obama for doing. He said President Obama is the founder of ISIS,” Kilmeade pointed out. “He just refounded ISIS because they have 30,000 men there and they are already striking back with our would-be evacuation. The president is really on the griddle with this.” Sanders said she “respectfully and vehemently ” disagreed with Kilmeade. "The idea that the president has had anything to do with helping ISIS reemerge is absolutely outrageous," she said. “Leaving is helping,” Kilmeade said. “Leaving is helping.” Sanders responded that Trump would "destroy" ISIS. “If ISIS wants to pick a fight with somebody, they sure as heck don’t want to pick one with Donald Trump because he will destroy them and defeat them,” Sanders said. “He’s made that extremely clear.” ** Kilmeade, a frequent supporter of the president's, earlier in the morning fiercely criticized Trump for pulling U.S. forces out of Syria and leaving Kurdish forces in the area alone. “We are now abandoning the Kurds who are about three weeks away from total slaughter,” Kilmeade said. “All they have done for us is show total allegiance to us and they trusted us, and now we will never get another ally in that region.” ** More at link: thehill.com/homenews/administration/422426-fox-friends-co-host-trump-just-refounded-isis-by-pulling-troops-out

“I’ve done more damage to ISIS than all recent presidents....not even close!”
Well there was only one “recent” President when it comes to ISIS and you were just following the plan that recent president put into place to defeat ISIS.

The New Yorker... ”In the wake of Donald Trump's steel tariffs, Mid-Continent Nail, the U.S.'s largest nail manufacturer, lost half of its orders and had to let go of almost half its workforce: nyer.cm/bwy0Nid” Yea! Making America Great Again! Yeah, Trump has commented that he knows those workers are patriots who understand they're giving up their livelihood for a good cause. 🙄 You are Patriots by sacrificing your livelihood but don’t even think about apply for food stamps without a job! How many meals can you squeeze out of taking one for the team?!?!

RBG is recovering from removal of a cancerous lung tumor. Good lord we are doomed! Although her nodules are cancerous, if she had VATS surgery recovery is quick. She would have 4 small incisions and a drain. They are saying the nodules were removed, NOT the lobe, and are no considering any further treatment. There will be pathology reports for several months. While they are in there they look around, if they see anything else suspicious they might take out the affected lobe, but didn't, which sounds good. I had VATS surgery May 2014. I had to stay in the hospital for two nights, because with the VATS, (probably all lung surgeries) they collapse the affected lung, leaving a drain that has to be removed before you can go home. They had found 2 suspicious nodules for me on April 7th and I had the surgery May 9th. My nodules were not cancerous. Yes, when I heard health scare with RBG, my heart sunk! I held my breath while they explained. Relieved but still concerned for her health long term.

^^^ and since she keeps herself in such good health physically, that will be a HUGE benefit to an easier, quicker surgery recovery.

The wall. dt has just stated that the Wall will pay for itself every month. Well, that changes everything. I didn’t know he was building a magic wall. I hope he can apply that amazing technology to pets, children, medical insurance, school buildings and houses soon! I remove my objection in that case.
