First the calls dt a terrible human being! And his wall idea simplistic and absurd/almost childish!! ONly the best hores the best!! Mick Mulvaney in 2015: Trump's views on border wall 'simplistic,' 'absurd and almost childish'By Andrew Kaczynski Updated 2:52 PM ET, Fri December 21, 2018 (CNN)Incoming White House acting-chief of staff Mick Mulvaney once called President Donald Trump's views on a border wall and immigration "simplistic" and "absurd and almost childish." A physical barrier would not stop undocumented immigrants from crossing the Mexican border and ranchers at the border say they don't need a fence, Mulvaney said in a 2015 interview uncovered by KFile. As Trump's man in charge at the White House, however, Mulvaney would be tasked with leading the administration's push to build a wall along the US-Mexico border. "Donald Trump says, build a wall. Deport all illegal immigrants. Rules are rules. You either play and stay or you cheat and you get deported. What challenges does this plan pose?" Patti Mercer asked in the August 25, 2015, interview on WRHI radio in South Carolina. "A bunch," Mulvaney responded. "The fence doesn't solve the problem. Is it necessary to have one, sure? Would it help? Sure. But to just say build the darn fence and have that be the end of an immigration discussion is absurd and almost childish for someone running for president to take that simplistic of view," Mulvaney added, without making a distinction between a fence or wall. ** Earlier in the interview, Mulvaney said his views on immigration were shaped by talking to Texas ranchers.
"The fence is an easy thing to sell politically," Mulvaney said. "It's an easy thing for someone who doesn't follow the issue very closely to say, 'oh, well that'll just solve everything, build the fence.' When you go out and you talked to the Texas ranchers. Which I've done, [Rep.] Jeff Duncan has done, and ask them -- these are the guys dealing with it every single day."
"Because we have a fence there," the interview said. "And they're building tunnels."
"Yeah we have a fence, Mulvaney responded. "That's exactly the point."
Mulvaney added he believed Trump's emotional appeals and cavalier attitude might prompt him to try going around the Constitution. More at link: www.cnn.com/2018/12/21/politics/mulvaney-on-trump-in-2015/index.html

BIG NEWS!! Supreme Court refuses to restore Trump's temporary asylum restrictionsBY JOHN BOWDEN - 12/21/18 02:59 PM EST The Supreme Court on Friday refused a request from the Trump administration to restore newly implemented restrictions that would prevent some migrants who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally from applying for asylum. In documents first reported by BuzzFeed News, the court denied a motion from the Justice Department following a ruling from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals earlier this month that rejected the Trump administration's efforts to delay a judge's order blocking the new asylum policy. ** thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/422508-supreme-court-refuses-to-restore-trumps-temporary-asylum** CAn't copy the tweet. Chris Geidner ✔ @chrisgeidner BREAKING: The Supreme Court denies the Trump administration’s request to let it enforce its new asylum ban while the case proceeds in court. The decision was 5-4, with Chief Justice Roberts joining his more liberal colleagues in denying DOJ’s stay request.

I have a terrible thought that I can't get out of my head. And I am typically not a person whose mind goes in this direction,
But... I can't stop thinking that this abrupt decision of Trump's to pull our military completely out of Syria and dramatically decrease troops in Afghanistan is because he is thinking that maybe, just maybe, something terrible will happen that will distract from all the investigations against him or worse, will give him a chance to do something heroic to "save the day" and make himself look good so to speak.
I'm not usually doom and gloom like that, but to me, this is real scary, especially now that Mattis has resigned. And most especially that the only world leader who is praising Trump for pulling out of Syria is Putin.
And, this is something else I truly can't wrap my brain around. He is being investigated for collusion with Russia, and vehemently denies it, as we all know. So, why does he think it's a good move to do something so drastic that seemingly benefits only Russia?
Okay, go ahead and call me a crack pot. I can take it! LOL
Oh I don’t think it’s crazy at all. He’s desperate for something to win back the adoration of his groupies. What’s better than returning troops at Christmas?

Just saw that there is a GoFundMe for the wall - it has already raised $10 million in 4 days articlelet the fucking MAGA trumpateers pay for the fucking wall. the point is that the MAJORITY does not want the wall, the wall is just plain wrong. It is a waste of taxpayer funds.
the entire adminstration fucking lies every fucking day.
i am so fucking sick to death of the DAILY bullshit that this motherfucker causes every damn day.
Even if they fund raised every last dime needed to build it, it doesn’t change the facts that it won’t work to keep people out, it will cause a lot of environmental damage with regard to wildlife and natural habitat it will ruin or disrupt and it will still cut through a number of people’s private property. It’s just all around a very bad idea no matter who pays for it.

How exactly is this the Democrats fault when it's a Republican majority in house, senate and the White House? It's not the Democrats' fault, but they do need 60 votes to pass a spending bill, so theoretically they would need some Democrats to sign on. A lot of Republicans are opposed to building the wall as well, though, so the Democrats here are just a scapegoat.

I still call bullshit on him blaming Democrats, when a week earlier he said he would take full responsibility on a shut down. He's unbelievable. Thank God for the peas who let me vent and yell when I need it.😂

linktrump is like a child when he can’t his way and throws a tantrum and could care less about the consequences it could cause. From Bloomberg News.. “ Trump Discusses Firing Fed's Powell After Latest Rate Hike, Sources Say”
From the article.. “President Donald Trump has discussed firing Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell as his frustration with the central bank chief intensified following this week’s interest-rate hike and months of stock-market losses, according to four people familiar with the matter. Advisers close to Trump aren’t convinced he would move against Powell and are hoping that the president’s latest bout of anger will dissipate over the holidays, the people said on condition of anonymity. Some of Trump’s advisers have warned him that firing Powell would be a disastrous move. Yet the president has talked privately about firing Powell many times in the past few days, said two of the people.
Any attempt by Trump to push out Powell would have potentially devastating ripple effects across financial markets, undermining investors’ confidence in the central bank’s ability to shepherd the economy without political interference. It would come as markets have plummeted in recent weeks, with the major stock indexes already down sharply for the year.
White House spokespeople declined to comment, as did Fed spokeswoman Michelle Smith.”

Bill Kristol..
”McConnell, Schumer, Ryan and Pelosi have set up a situation where it's hard for Trump to leave town, since they're supposed to be working on a deal. By tomorrow Trump will be desperate for the company of the fawning oligarchs at Mar-a-Lago, and will cave in return for a fig leaf.”
I think he may be right.

NPR...
”JUST IN: Brett McGurk, the U.S. Envoy for Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, is resigning. NPR’s @michelekelemen reports that a State Department official confirms Brett McGurk informed the Secretary last evening of his intent to resign his duties effective December 31.”
”The announcement follows President Trump’s decision to pull U.S. troops out of Syria, and Defense Secretary Jim Mattis’ resignation in response to that decision.”
What do we need anyone with any sort of expertise working in the government when there is a “stable genius with a big brain” in the White House.
We really are doomed.

linkReally? From the Washington Post. “Rep. Meadows tells federal employees who won’t get paid during shutdown: You signed up for this”
From the article.. ”To the hundreds of thousands of federal employees who will work without pay or be furloughed over the holidays if there is a government shutdown, Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) says it is just part of the risk of working in public service. Meadows, the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus and a leading conservative voice urging President Trump not to accept a short-term spending bill absent funding for a border wall, was responding to reporters who asked about Transportation Security Administration and Border Patrol agents who would be required to continue working on Christmas without getting a paycheck. “It’s actually part of what you do when you sign up for any public service position," Meadows said. "And it’s not lost on me in terms of, you know, the potential hardship. At the same time, they know they would be required to work and even in preparation for a potential shutdown those groups within the agencies have been instructed to show up.” I wonder if they put that in the job description? They really should make sure the members of Congress should not get paid during a shutdown at all. That all expenses they incur during the shutdown , that are paid by tax payers, shouldn't be paid for either.

trump 3 short days ago..
”We have defeated ISIS in Syria, my only reason for being there during the Trump Presidency.”
trump today...
”going to be there for three months, and that was seven years ago - we never left. When I became President, ISIS was going wild. Now ISIS is largely defeated and other local countries, including Turkey, should be able to easily take care of whatever remains. We’re coming home!”
So is ISIS defeated or largely defeated?
Turkey will go after the Kurds that helped us. Which means if we ever have to go to another country for some sort of military solution, no one will help us because they can no longer trust us.
I was never a fan of us going to the Middle East. But while our troops were and are there, locals have stepped forward to help our troops by being interpreters. You have to believe this help save some our troops lives. Kiss that goodbye.
I guess this is yet another way of trump #MAGA.

And trump continues with a publicity stunt..
”Will be having lunch in White House residence with large group concerning Border Security.”
The reality is there are more cost effective, effective and less invasive ways to secure the Southern Border then putting a wall from sea to sea. So this tweet must be aimed at the white uneducated voter/trump supporter.
