Sahil Kapur...
”John Boehner’s final act as Speaker was to say no to the right, cut a bipartisan deal, and avoid a shutdown.
Paul Ryan’s final act as Speaker will be to hew to Donald Trump’s wishes, prevent a vote on a Senate-passed funding bill, and oversee a shutdown.”
Party over country.

”Brett McGurk, who I do not know, was appointed by President Obama in 2015. Was supposed to leave in February but he just resigned prior to leaving. Grandstander? The Fake News is making such a big deal about this nothing event!”
”If anybody but your favorite President, Donald J. Trump, announced that, after decimating ISIS in Syria, we were going to bring our troops back home (happy & healthy), that person would be the most popular hero in America. With me, hit hard instead by the Fake News Media. Crazy!”
“ your favorite president, donald j trump”??I wonder if he really believes half the crap he tweets. “
And as Phillip Rucker pointed out.
“The defense secretary and ISIS envoy were among those who did not consider the Syria decision heroic”

Here he goes. trump.
”When President Obama ingloriously fired Jim Mattis, I gave him a second chance. Some thought I shouldn’t, I thought I should. Interesting relationship-but I also gave all of the resources that he never really had. Allies are very important-but not when they take advantage of U.S.”

“Trump tonight tweeted that he doesn't know who Brett McGurk is, the U.S. envoy to the coalition fighting the Islamic State.
McGurk has literally been the American leading the fight against ISIS.”

. Cancelled my trip on Air Force One to Florida while we wait to see if the Democrats will help us to protect America’s Southern Border!” Ah but we paid to send your family to Mar-A-Lago yesterday!! (Although glad Barron is away. He;ll probably end up as bad as the rest of them!) Ah but now we are paying for Melania and Barron to fly back to DC to be with you for Christmas. Guess they will be going back for New Year's, you all know he has biggly parties!!

This from trump..
”I won an election, said to be one of the greatest of all time, based on getting out of endless & costly foreign wars & also based on Strong Borders which will keep our Country safe. We fight for the borders of other countries, but we won’t fight for the borders of our own!”
Prompted this truth from Chris Evans..
”You won an election because you ran a campaign predicated on hate, fear, and misinformation. You stirred discord, feigned innocence, bluffed patriotism, and shamelessly wielded schoolyard tactics to distract from your ignorance
Also Russia interfered
Also ur doing a bad job”

I do think he retired happily, and then reluctantly came out of retirement to support and defend the constitution again.

I do think he retired happily, and then reluctantly came out of retirement to support and defend the constitution again. President Obama removed Mattis from his post as head of Central Command, ostensibly due to differences over potential military action in Iran. There was nothing inglorious about it as he kept his rank and status. He chose to retire shortly after. Trump's "second chance" seems to imply that Mattis was fired for cause, but that is not the case.

”Christie on ABC says Trump is like your 72-year-old relative: “When people get older, they become more and more convinced of the fact that what they’re doing is the right thing and it becomes harder to convince them otherwise."
A somewhat dangerous trait in a president with nuclear codes.

Newsweek..
“ FOX NEWS PANEL: MAINSTREAM MEDIA 'JEALOUS' OF TRUMP FAMILY SUCCESS”
“Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and a pair of Fox News cronies claimed news media outlets are simply "jealous" of the Trump family's success.
"Watters' World" host Jesse Watters said he was "surprised" the media didn't rank higher in a recently released Gallup survey of what Americans see as the country's largest problems today. Lewandowski, Watters and national security analyst Morgan Ortagus fawned over the Trump family Saturday evening and criticized the "sickening blood lust" mainstream media outlets have against the president, his wife and specifically, his children. The Gallup poll showed immigration, dissatisfaction with the government, poor leadership and health care as the top concerns among Americans.
The trio of Fox News pundits said the mainstream media is "going after Trump's kids" because they are worried they "may not be able to get the president" through the Special Counsel and Robert Mueller's ongoing Russian collusion investigation.“
Well alrigh, now we know.
Idiots.

The biggest issue we had with my mother was the state refused to take away her driver license so we all had to run interference so she didn’t drive. We didn’t have to worry about nuclear codes and national secrets she might tell to uncle Putin.

“Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and a pair of Fox News cronies claimed news media outlets are simply "jealous" of the Trump family's success. Oh really? There are more families who have had greater success who do not have to flaunt it! Gates, Buffet, Forbes. I've actually had conversations with Malcolm Forbes (long ago) and so many more families who we never heard about. And I’ve said since 2015 that Trump resembles the issues my mother had when she had dementia. The biggest issue we had with my mother was the state refused to take away her driver license so we all had to run interference so she didn’t drive. We didn’t have to worry about nuclear codes and national secrets she might tell to uncle Putin. Great comparison. I never realized what a jerk Rand Paul is. He’s also heading toward that crappy spray tan look like his hero. He has always marched to a different drummer, but he has fallen over the edge. Maybe to recent blow to his head? He has been hanging out and invited other to meet with Putin in Russia and now this current mess with dt's pull out from Syria.. We are abandoning over 74(?) other countries who have been supporting us! No one will ever trust US again!

“Trump grows "especially agitated" when aides "tell him he does not have the power to do what he wants."
He's "consumed" by "multiplying investigations."
When he rails to his aides, they feed his worst instincts, telling him it's all the media's fault:”
Prompted this reply from Susan J Demas..
”so glad we didn't elect the emails lady”

Interesting.. Lawrence Hurley... “HEADLINE: Appeals court upholds subpoena issued against unnamed foreign company in an unknown criminal investigation” ”NEW in unknown unknowns: Appeals court has denied unidentified motion in sealed grand jury case everyone has been excited about. Court had earlier allowed subpoena against an unidentified foreign-government-owned company” ”The mystery grand jury case -- which a lot of people think has something to do with the Mueller probe -- has now got to the Supreme Court in the form of an emergency application filed with the chief justice by unknown foreign company that lost below” Shall I start the speculation of which mystery foreign company this is? It must have US offices for the motions to be in US courts, right? I'm guessing Deutsche Bank and money laundering by Trump for $200 please.

“NEW --> Trump forces out Jim Mattis two months early, names Shanahan as acting defense secretary. He's complained to advisers about the news coverage of Mattis's scathing resignation letter.
My latest from a pre-Christmas Washington”
Of course trump wasn’t going to let Mattis stay until 2/28. And I’m guessing Mattis knew this would happen when he released his resignation letter to the public.

This should cause some concern.
trump..
”I just had a long and productive call with President @rt_Erdogan of Turkey. We discussed ISIS, our mutual involvement in Syria, & the slow & highly coordinated pullout of U.S. troops from the area. After many years they are coming home. We also discussed heavily expanded Trade.”
Also, note how everything with trump has to do with trade. He always manage to make it part of everything he says and does. While trade is important, there are actually other issues this country faces that are way more important then trade. But to him they are not as important as the almighty dollar.

“Turkey is massing troops near a town in northern Syria held by a U.S.-backed and Kurdish-led force, a war monitor and Turkish media said Sunday.”
And what do you think is going to happen to the Kurds once the US pulls out?

I can't even read Trump's tweets anymore. The constant, improper and random use of capitalizations by way of emphasizing something, as well as the overuse of exclamation marks, raise my blood pressure. Its just a constant reminder of the ignorance that is running this country.
