The two bald eagles that accompanied me for about 15 minutes on my in city beach walk this morning. Growing up, they were such a rare sighting. Now, not so much, but I still love seeing them. Last time I walked the same beach a few weeks ago there were 3 harbor seals covorting just off shore.

The Christmas cards I’ve been getting from the peas. I look over each one carefully and admire them. They make me so happy!

One of my previous students is in the Cher Show on Broadway and opening night was last night. She shared the pics on FB. She is just amazing.

( I keep a bag full of stuff in my car to give out. “ Dollar Tree” has some very cute, surprisingly THICK, SOFT gloves, hats & scarves).

My smile was for our darling granddaughter knocking on the door for a 'drop-in' visit. She is such a delight and we love seeing her (DD and SIL were with her it was nice to see them as well!).
A great way to start the day.

I saw a squirrel race across 5 lanes of traffic and make it safely to the other side. Brave little bugger. I watched the same thing a couple days ago and noticed his tail was sticking straight up at a 90 degree angle as he raced across the street. I wondered if that was where the term "high-tailed it out of here" came from! we learned a few months ago that the phrase comes from bison raising their tails 🙂 ETA but if you Google it, it says any animal, so squirrel it is!

I celebrate Hanukkah, but we put up our Christmas decorations at work today. I decorated my cube with Hanukkah goodies. It made me smile because we skipped decorating last year due to the stress and extra work we had because of the wildfires in our town and we all really missed that.

My smile comes from watching a little girl exit her school bus.I was driving behind the school bus. The girl walked up her driveway with arms extended wide. Her head was tilted back to look at the sky. She looked so joyful to be home.

scrappyesq ..... I love that the lights made you so happy! I have some pretty blue & white snowflake lights that I haven’t put up yet, but your post makes me feel like decorating 😀 nitad ... SO happy about your fur baby! 🐾😱 Two things that made me smile : 1. I’m imagining the big smiles & surprise on my nephews’ sweet faces when they get a package full of birthday (NOT Christmas) prezzies, ( especially the homeade cookies!) from Aunt Toee. 😍💕 2. That I was able to refrain from PUNCHING the TV and/ or vomiting last night whenever they showed Trump’s smug, puffy orange face and his tweets.

Just found some great gifts for DH on eBay. Fingers crossed they arrive in time. I did print pictures of the items at least
His hobby is vintage boxing memorabilia. He has a room dedicated to it. I found some stuff he actually doesn't own.
It's harder now for me to just buy things as he has over 300 magazines. And various old books and cards.

Today, I went to the St Nicolaus party at my family center. I haven't been in for a couple of months, as my sister has been visiting and wwe have been travelling. Two things made me smile.
1. One of the little boys from my class came up to say hello to me. I was really touched he remembered me - he is only 2o months old - but what really made me laugh was that I picked him up, and said 'oh, you've grown so big' and he looked at me and said 'Yes!'
2. Our Hebrew playgroup met earlier this week, so our Nicolaus party was also decorated with Hannukah craft. I love so much that we can embrace so many cultures, whether they be language, national or religious.
