OMG!! I just paid for plane tickets for 3, rental car, airport parking (26$ a day!) and two nights at a hotel to attend a family event Dec 1. And I'm getting crap about not coming home for Christmas!!! WTAF? I'll validate you! In that, I didn't include parking (only $18 a day for long term at Reagan National), and the kennel for Emma ($49 a day). Then there's all the angst of only gifting small gifts that can fit into a suitcase, what gifts I send to MN and what gifts I send to the house, as the kids are coming home after Christmas (they go to college in MN.) My parents used to chip in money for the plane tickets, but haven't in years. That's fine, but don't bitch to me about the groceries. I told DH that next year, they are all coming to us. Well hell. I forgot the kennel. Boston airport thinks very highly of it's parking spaces. I didn't even take the gifts on the Dec 1 trip as it was short, and my sister was getting married. I have shipped everything to my mom's. My parents like to slip me a little money when I visit.. usually $50. that was when I would make the 8 hour drive and it was "gas money." I wish my family were more portable lol!! I hope you get your 2019 Christmas wish of everyone coming to you!

I seem to have the opposite problem with my husband than prior posters. My husband wants EVERYTHING. Every gift is over 200.00 and he just keeps shopping for himself. I got another text today. There is no way I am ordering him another gift. He has a two car garage packed with motorcycles, dirt bikes tools etc., a 20 foot trailer packed with atvs, a shed and stuff under a canopy on our lot. He doesn’t need this stuff he just wants it. Every year it’s the same thing, he just wants more and more stuff. UGH

DH may have a stomach bug.
Luckily he doesn't get man cold. But I don't want to get it.

My husband wants to buy a new car for my Christmas gift. I have explained repeatedly that the tag is outrageous and will be due in December every single year. Please just let me coast through until February, when I'm not snowed under with gift buying and property taxes.
And yet I continue to get calls from car dealers. Ugh!
