Does keeping chocolates in the fridge vegetable drawer count?

The first thing that popped into my mind.... At our childhood home dad used to have a glass top coffee table with metal/brass legs. The legs were hollow and had a hard plastic lid-thing on the top of each one. When my brother was a teenager, he and his stupid mates (including my DSO, who at the time was just my brother's mate and not my DSO) used to take the tops off the coffee table legs and use it as an ashtray! So gross! So yeah, keeping cigarette ash in the legs of a coffee table is probably the most unexpected thing I can think of right now.

Does keeping chocolates in the fridge vegetable drawer count? Now that's where I need to hide my chocolate so DS doesn't steal it! He'd never in a million years voluntarily open a vegetable drawer. I have hidden so much chocolate in so many random places over the years. If I ever move out of this house I'm sure I will find chocolate that I've hidden 20 years previously and forgotten about.

I keep all of my nail polish cases, remover, cotton balls, and files in the cabinet in my TV armoire. I do my nails in the den and plus I have extra room in there.

I have to credit lucyg for this idea. True story, friends were admiring a large ceramic pig soup tureen we inherited from other friends who were moving and didn't have room to take it (DH phoned and asked if I wanted it. I said "no" and he didn't want to hurt their feelings, so brought it home). I pulled it off the shelf so they could get the full view of its beauty, discovering several boxes of Smarties inside (the good kind)! I have no recall of slipping them in there and DH denies he did.

ha ha, I was wondering why I got tagged in this thread. bc2caYes, I keep chocolate hidden in the fridge fruit drawer which no one ever goes in except me. I keep all sorts of things in my “sewing room” which has become a craft and general storage room, along with a very comfortable guest bed. For my very lucky houseguests. hee

I keep all our board games and card games in the vanity in my guest bath. They just take up one side, I still have room for bathroom stuff. My nieces always tease me when they come over and want to play games and I tell them to go up and find something under the bathroom sink. I literally have no other place to put them!

I keep a slip leash, an obnoxious squeaky toy, and a can of dog food in my car in case I need to lure a lost dog out of traffic. I’ve done this twice so far. OMG, that is such a GREAT idea !!!!! Thank you for posting that. !!! I’m gonna put some in both of our vehicles !!!!

For those of us women of a certain age <ahem>, it makes perfect sense to keep tweezers in the car. But I'm sure others might spy them and think that's quite an unexpected place for them. Lol.

I just realized that we have one in my family. We often keep bread in the microwave. It doesn’t get used so often that it is an annoyance and after having mice issues in the old house I grew up in, it was a matter of protecting the bread. It then became a habit. But other people find it odd.

I keep baking supplies, like chocolate chips and coconut, in my vegetable crisper.
We used to hide a full set of screwdrivers under our bed, because our teenage son destroyed or lost most of the screwdrivers in the garage.

I hide my Christmas cookies in big frozen vegetable bags (2kg) and then in a freezer ziploc. I wash the empty veggie bag (usually no-name yellow bag - {for Canadians}) and then put the cookies in there and put this bag into a freezer ziploc bag. Ensures that I have cookies for Christmas eve/day.

Wait you're not supposed to keep a broom in the pantry? Where do you keep it? Granted we have a long pantry so i can put cleaning stuff on one side and food storage stuff on the other? I don't have many weird places except maybe appliances, my mixer and my are all together because we have different cabinets now.. lol so i just had to find new places to put things.
ETA Inlaws always kept batteries in the freezer, next to his diabetic chocolates lol!

My grandma used to store dishtowels and bakery in her dishwasher! She never used it and said it kept the bakery fresh LOLOL My mother never used hers either. At the time it was put in it was the most expensive machine on the market. 1960’s. My brother's family Moved and started to use it. It leaked. Had a repair person out to fix it. The repairman said that because she didn’t use the machine enough all the rubber seals dried up and cracked. If she had used it, the machine would have run another 20 years with absolutely no problems. He ended up buying it from them( too expensive for them to have him repair it)

Does keeping chocolates in the fridge vegetable drawer count? I also keep Chocolate in the fridge. If someone opened the cabinet under my TV in the living room, they would find it filled with dumbbells, stretchy bands and various other workout gear.

We have one of those over the door shoe holders ( the kind with pockets) in our kitchen pantry.
It holds vitamins and supplements ( large bottles from Costco, ect), pain killers, otc meds like ibuprofen, anything else we need easy access to, but close the door and it’s hidden. DIL has accessories for her type 1 diabetes, all but the insulin, it goes in the fridge.
