I've wanted a turntable for several years (so as to relive childhood memories, I guess) and my husband surprised me with one for Christmas. Turns out digital music sounds a lot better! But I'm enjoying trying out records and having that tactile experience again.

I chose, him indoors paid for... this little beauty for my dolls house pub. It has flashing lights and sound, and it`s like the one I used to feed my wages to in the 70s.

My DH gave me 2 great gifts: a membership to my yoga studio and paid for a 4 day scrapbook retreat! I asked if he was looking for ways to get me out of the house!! Lol

Air pods from the kids -- they saw me admiring someone else's and thought I 'd like them. I LOVE them. And rose gold hoop earrings from DH -- they are so pretty.

Ooh I asked my mom for $ towards a weekend retreat. She surprised me by paying for the whole thing. And then some.

I got two wonderful gifts. My children bought me a pasta machine, which I have wanted since I did a pasta making evening with my sister in Rome earlier this year. My younger son tells me it is the same as his, so he recommends it! DH bought me a voucher for a 'Float Tank' session and massage. Not something I would have thought of doing, but I am looking forward to it.

My all time favorite gift - and the one that got DH off the hook for any gift for me for eternity - is my sweet horse. I was one of those girls who has wanted a horse of my own since birth and I've had him for 6 years now...it's all I dreamed it would be and more! DH refers to him as the gift that just keeps on costing LOL - especially since we added a horse for him this past year!

From my kids, my favorite was a little hand lotion. I love lotions.
BF got me some puzzles, and I’m excited to start one, probably tonight.
My parents always are generous, but maybe my fun favorite was Dog-opoly. BF and I played Saturday night, and lasted 4 hours, we broke the bank.
I’m always happiest with the small things, things I don’t think about buying myself.

From my husband, a special pair of slippers from an Austrian company, Giesswein, that have a black lab on one shoe and a big red ball on the other. We lost our beloved black lab on Halliween and his favorite toy was a big red ball. This gift touched my heart and brought me to tears.
Another gift I’ll enjoy all year was from my two nieces and their spouses. A monthly subscription to WhiskTakers. Every month you get a box with most of the ingredients to bake something. The first box was a Pistachio Bundt Cake. It just came out of the oven; can’t wait to try it tonight.
Happy New Year’s Eve !

My hubby got me a pair of diamond stud earrings. We don't do extravagant gifts and it's the first jewelry I've gotten since my wedding ring (We've been married for 26 years), so I was super surprised and happy. 🙂

Well, besides my daughter, who is currently the navigator of a US naval warship and has been stationed on another continent for the past two years, I would say it is the ring my husband had made for me. The diamond fell out of my engagement ring this summer, plus I had this anniversary ring that my mother left me, plus a huge blue topaz that my brother's wife gave me a few years ago (he was killed in 2011). So we took it all to my husband's family's jeweler and we decided to make a wedding/anniversary band with some of the diamonds to start with. The guy took 5 diamonds and made a gorgeous, simple wedding band in a new setting. That still leaves six diamonds, a lot of gold and the huge blue topaz to do something with later on. I was so pleased with it--it was especially memorable because this Christmas is the first time in several years that my three children and husband and I have been together at Christmas, so the five diamonds that represent the immediate family given to me at Christmas was really special. I still am caught by surprise when I glimpse it in the mirror or when I am washing my hands. I like to think my mom would be happy that I am making some use out of the ring she left me, too. Or else she'd be super pissed off. One or the other.

Out of all the great gifts, if I had to pick one I'll go with the teakettle. It was from one of my son's and his fiance. It's just the perfect design and style - I love it.

Gift cards to my favorite stores and restaurants. When I go shopping or pick up takeout, someone else is paying for it via gift cards. Very grateful for that. Same for me! Between us, DSO and I got $350 worth of restaurant vouchers for our favourite restaurant. Mind you, if we take DD with us we end up spending over $200 (usually closer to $240) so we might only get 2 outings there.

A gift certificate to a bar that serves drinks and bacon. Because DH knows I love bacon.
And after exactly three years he told me no divorce. I haven't decided which gift is better.
Jk

My birthday is Dec 21. I had been saving for this chair and a few dining chairs for months. The day before my birthday, I noticed the arm chair was on clearance. I mentioned it to DH. They had 13 left for delivery in my state. He said he planned to give me money for my “chair fund” for Christmas (so I could choose which chair(s) I wanted first), but since it went on clearance, he moved it to my birthday. There was only one left locally. It was a floor model. That night, he went out to the store and put it on hold. (Kids were asleep so we couldn’t both go). The next morning I went and bought it. By the time I got it home, you couldn’t get it picked up or shipped in my state anymore. I was so glad he didn’t wait til Christmas Day to top off my fund. And because it was a floor model, we got a discount on top of the clearance! So I still have a little left in my chair fund to start me on the dining chairs. It sits next to my bed as a little prayer corner. It’s the first thing I see every morning and it makes me smile to look at it. That chair is gorgeous! I can see why looking at it would make you happy. It’s like eye candy.
