Marking my spot.
Here is my breakdown of points: (And each sketchy Saturday project is posted under that particular thread - do I need to post them anywhere else?)
1/5/19 Sketchy Saturday challenge 1 pt-layout 1 pt-sharing, #24 die cuts, #45 Tie One On - Twine 4 total points
1/12/19 Sketchy Saturday challenge 1 pt-layout, 1 pt-sharing, #44 Oldies but Goodies, #52 Snowflakes, #53 Seeing Red 5 total points
1/19/19 Sketchy Saturday challenge 1 pt-layout, 1 pt-sharing, #8 Generations, #3 rectangles, #6 New supplies 5 total points
1/26/19 Sketchy Saturday challenge 1 pt-layout, 1 pt-sharing, #4 Be There or Be Square 3 total points
I also organized for about an hour each weekend - first by purging old supplies, then sorted years of photos into themes, then made up some page kits - 4 total points
JANUARY POINT TOTALS: 21 points

grammadee, if we do some of the 12 Days of Christmas prompts do we need to post them on the old Dec. threads, or just make a note when we post on the January sharing thread?

grammadee , if we do some of the 12 Days of Christmas prompts do we need to post them on the old Dec. threads, or just make a note when we post on the January sharing thread? Either way, works, but if you are sharing in the January Team sharing thread, claim a point for Challenge #2 and then say which of the 12 days you chose your prompt from. To get the bonus points, you have to complete 12 different pages or cards if you know what I mean.

Another question or two; Does a 2 page layout count as 1 or 2 points? Lets say I complete Challenge # 12 - Pretty patterns, how many points do I get for that?
Thanks again for your reply(ies).

Another question or two; Does a 2 page layout count as 1 or 2 points? Lets say I complete Challenge # 12 - Pretty patterns, how many points do I get for that? Thanks again for your reply(ies). When you count for creating and sharing, you get 1 point for each for each PAGE of a two page LO. So if you share a double pager, count creating & sharing two pages for 4 points. For most challenges, like for #12, count one point if you met that challenge on one of your pages; two points if you met it on both. So if you used patterned paper as your base, and mostly pp on your page, give yourself a point for that. If you did that on BOTH pages, count 2 points. Some challenges give you bonus points for something specific that you may be able to count once (as in #31 where you could claim ONE point for 5 photos total across your two pages, OR if you have 3+ photos on each page, you could claim a total of 2 points for this challenge). You will get the hang of it. Don't stress about points counting. It is all for fun, anyway.

sleepingbooty grammadee#42 Borrowing words: Give yourself a point for this challenge if you've included a quote on your project. Famous authors, song lyrics, everyday maxims or something someone you know said are all valid. Needs to be a full sentence (things like "live, laugh, love" or "messy bun, getting things done" don't count) with obvious lenience for lyrical prose and the likes. DD18 sends me photos from college and I like to include the comments she adds on my layout - but she doesn't text in full sentences... can I still get a point? the layout I'm working on now - quotes would be "I look really put together though" and "got a skirt and everything"

Leaving this response to sleepingbooty. I had read it over quickly and was thinking I would need a poem or famous quote to apply to this, but now that I read it carefully, I see that texts and everyday quotes from other people count, I may be able to claim this point more often.

Hello Everyone. I was quite busy over the weekend in the scraproom. I will have to upload the photos when I get home on Friday. I do have a question. One thing I did this weekend was to create a baby book for a friend. It is a combination of PL style and regular layout style (albeit in 6x8 size). I made it so that she can basically add her photos and some journaling if she wants. How do you recommend I add up the points for it? It contains 17-18 front and back sheets with page protectors as well as some wooden dividers. I made the dividers into little mini pages as well. Thanks for any ideas!

I would count each page as a page (1 point each) with an additional point for sharing each. You can add up additional points as they apply per page. (For example, none of the pages have photos, so the NO PHOTO point would count for each, but since the journaling will be added later, none would earn points for the journaling challenge).

You're quoting her words so it's totally accepted even if grammar is not "perfect."

Sure is quite on the challenges this month. I have been able to participate a little, but a few have gone quiet. I participated for the first week. I signed up thinking we wouldn't find a house and if we did, I wasn't going to close until April. But found a house, but to get the extremely great price we have to close the 31st of this month. So the next weekish was all getting loan stuff ready, etc. I've had some time since, but my mojo has been completely and totally gone. I've been playing on the Sherwin Williams app and painting each of the first floor rooms different colors. The house is all honey oak built-ins and trims which means I can't stay with my normal Tuscan color palette. But I cranked out layouts that first week which felt so good after not doing much for several months.

I haven't been scrapping, having absolutely no mojo lately so I haven't checked in much. Maybe it's a letdown from all the holiday frenzy and not as many participating?
