I’m sorry to say that Django just needed to go. He was moody and tense and brought the whole room down. And he certainly did not try to do any sort of invention. Which was dumb, yes. But this is Project Runway and they’ve got to throw something in there to make it different.
Irina’s dress didn’t work. She could have used some Anya-Inspiration and made a pretty, floaty dress that ribboned and flowed as the model walked down the runway. Still kind of a goofy “invention”, but much prettier. I’m not really a fan of Michelle’s style, but that all worked for me. I know several women who would love something like that. It’s like a hoodie all grown up.
I liked the concept of Anthony Ryan’s coat, but IMO it was just bulky and awkward. It would have been a lot better if it nipped in at the waist. But the concept was fun and it was well sewn, or at least the pockets were.
My favorite was Christiana’s jumpsuit look. How do you put those speakers on the hip and not make the model look 10 feet wide? That was impressive. I’m not sure the concept was really all that original, but the design was really beautiful.

It also glad that Django went. His attitude was off-putting, especially toward Anne.
I don’t know that I really loved any of the looks. Just sort of meh.
And WTF was Alyssa wearing?

I liked the top of that jumpsuit she was wearing at Charlie ATCF, but the bottom didn't fit quite right. And the runway dress--nope! She's always slow to lose her baby weight and I think she's struggling to find clothes in her usual style. PR All Stars was filmed well over a year ago. CATCF hasn't been on Broadway for over a year. I wonder if the delay was due to JCP's financial troubles and trying to get their looks into the stores. I was actually looking forward to seeing how they made a ready-to-wear look out of the winning designs. Too bad that didn't work out.

It was embarrassing. I saw a couple of old clips from the first few seasons of the show, and she looked so much better, especially her hair. It just always looks dirty now. I understand the whole “blame the stylist “ thing but ultimately it should be their decision whether they appear on national television looking like they haven’t showered in 2 days. At least I would hope so. Same with her clothing. It’s not at all difficult to dress a shapely figure in a flattering way. Especially on a show about fashion. Heidi was the same way. Some of her choices were just head-scratching.

Reconstruct daytime looks into an evening look.
Sometimes it feels like I am watching a completely different runway show than the judges. Biddel and Michelle's looks would have been my bottom two. I would have sent Michelle home. I can't believe that Georgina thought those two strips of denim on the shoulders were a great idea. What ? I agreed with the guest judge who said it looked like a futuristic costume. Ugly. Anthony Ryan's was my favorite.
Did anyone catch next week's previews? Did you see Georgina's new look? Wow, what a beautiful woman.

I usually always love whatever Anthony Ryan designs. I would wear anything he does. I'm so glad they gave him a second chance in the 1st episode. He has really stepped it up!

That was a weird challenge. I just don't get it. Did the designers get multiples of the same garment? They must have--I don't see how they could have made some of the designs otherwise. Esp with Sean's flowy dress and Irina's multiple button plackets.
That disco jumpsuit was horrible. Horrible! I guess it made a statement, but would someone really go clubbing in that? To me, it definitely read as costume.
Michelle's dress was frumpy and exactly like all the others she has designed. And just 2 little strips from the jean jacket and that's good? What about embracing the challenge. I swear, they just go with designers that they like and then make excuses with other designers. But we knew either Cynthia or Christina was going to go. The judges just don't seem to like them and it's obvious that they don't get these weird American challenges and designs.
I think it's funny that the designers liked Cynthia's vest, but that is what sent her home. I thought it was ugly, but I didn't like most of the designs. To me, her blouse was one of the more finished looks. Was it evening wear? Well, was any of it really evening wear?
I would have chosen Irina for the win because it did seem like her dress was the most repurposed. But I still stand with the opinion that this was a weird challenge and not at all like a thrift store remake if they could use multiples of each blouse, pant, etc.

I wasn’t wild about this episode. The winning look was not impressive to me at all - not a fan of underboob ever. I did like the ruffly pants except for the awkwardly placed seams, and the yellow dress was cute. Michelle’s model looked awful. I have nothing to say about Alyssa’s runway hair because I didn’t notice it because I was blinded by her boobs. And then spent the rest of the time trying to figure out where they had gone after the commercial break. Her dress/neckline was completely different. Vanessa Williams is just stunning. Her eyes!!!

They did show the designers holding several of the same clothing items in their hands while at JCP. This challenge was not my favorite. I didn't think any of the looks looked especially right for a night out. Although, I feel out of all of them Biddell's did look the best -- and I think it was because his fabric was shiny, slinky and caught the light. Michelle's seemed a bit simple in its design.
What is happening to Dimitry! I haven't loved any of his recent work. What happened to his designs! Honestly, I am not loving any of these designers right now. They can't seem to capture the magic of their winning seasons.
I am getting bored of this season -- I hate to say it.
Oh well, it makes me look forward to Bravo's new Project Runway coming soon!!!

Gender neutral.
I loved Michelle's look and I think she should have won the challenge. It had an interesting mix of patterns, colours, and fabrics. Again, I did not understand what was so great about the winning look. It had no real design, or shape. Just a lot of black fabric with some white accents. Even Anthony Ryan's look had better visual interest, and had way more details. Dimitri should have gone home.

Both of the bottom two designers are favorites of mine so I was torn. I think both had bad looks. But Irina's didn't really look gender neutral to me.

I loved Michelle's look. With her fabric choices, I was very concerned but she pulled it off and it looked stylish. I also loved the winning look but it didn't look like anything new, I felt like I have seen something similar before so I felt Michelle's was more interesting and fresh.
I liked Irina's BUT also felt it wasn't gender neutral at all. I liked Sean Kelly's but also felt it was a look I had seen before. I would have preferred Irina being kicked off just because of her poor attitude and using someone else sewing machine during a challenge. If it were my machine she was using and she didn't immediately get off of it, I would have yanked her dress right off the machine. The nerve!

I liked this challenge (for a change!) Loved Alyssa's look on the runway, especially that vest. I loved the winning look and understood why it won. I thought Michelle's was a hot mess and as several others in the work room said, looked like a crime scene. Anthony Ryan basically did the same coat he made last week. I thought Dimity's was awful too and he should have been the one to go. Sean's at least looked good on the model, even if the judges felt he missed the gender neutral brief. I thought Sean should have been safe and Evan in the top 3.

While gender neutral isn’t my particular personal style, I think the challenge is a good one. These designers all need to learn to adapt and make something new. It’s the only way they’ll push themselves and make new things over time. They’re all so insistent on making the same outfits each week, just changing the fabrics...
But why does gender neutral have to mean oversized coats, and things so big?
I think Irina’s was very feminine, although it was maybe my favorite. I think Michelle should have won, even though I am not a fan of her attitude. She at least had color to hers.

What did everyone think of CLIMATE QUICK CHANGE? I was happy Michelle won. Fabric choices questionable but I loved how her skirt turned into a coat and the pockets were genius. I am glad Anthony Ryan made it through. I liked his look overall but also thought how can you have only 1 sleeve in the snow... I continue to be disappointed with Dmitry's looks -- how did his outfit TRANSFORM??? (I did like his flowy dress though) -- but he made it through.
I liked the jumpsuit design but it did look "junior" so I understand why the judges put Biddell's in the bottom. I liked Christina's look too but guess it wasn't "creative" enough.
Anyways, its a struggle to get excited about this season. I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO PROJECT RUNWAY'S return ON BRAVO. Did you watch the 7-min preview? 90% of the designers preview looks were AMAZING. Should be a good season. And, um, Christian Siriano as a mentor YES!

I enjoyed the theme this week because 1. It was new/different and 2. I'm a weather buff. They did something different to Alyssa's hair. It still looks weird but not as greasy now. I was sort of disappointed that Christina went home. Biddell's attitude stinks. I liked the theory of Michelle's look but it sure wasn't keeping any rain out of the "alley" I very much enjoyed the first look at the new PR. The designers seem to be more down to earth than before, and their garments were for the most part very nicely made. Definitely looking forward to it!

Well, I obviously have no taste. While an awkward transition, I thought Christina’s dress was really pretty and gorgeous billowing in the wind. I’d bet that if Irina sent that down the runway, they would love it.
That outfit of Michelle’s was a hot mess. Cool idea, but that was a lot of volume around the hips! Again, if Christina had sent that down the aisle, they would have said it was unflattering, it’s the same hem length every week, and she needed to stop mixing prints every challenge. It almost feels like the international designers were allowed to play in the PR sandbox, but now the play date is over and it’s time to go home.
I liked Dimitri’s coat and especially the sleeves. Not practical for deep winter, but great for fall or spring. I thought Anthony Ryan’s coat was really nicely done, but it did need another sleeve! And at least Biddell’s jumpsuit was playful and cute. I don’t know who I would have sent home! Maybe Irina? Her outfit wasn’t that great. It was mostly just styled well.

I noticed the toes too...yuck.
For the third week in a row now, I thought Dmitry should have gone home. He completely missed the challenge. I didn't mind Michelle's look. I thought it was innovative. I had no real favorite this week. They all were just alright.
Now, can we talk about Michelle's hair. What the hell is up with the shaved sides. So ugly, especially when she's wearing those weird glasses. That hairstyle should have gone the way of the mullet. I bet in 10yrs from now she'll look back and wonder what the hell she was thinking.

It almost feels like the international designers were allowed to play in the PR sandbox, but now the play date is over and it’s time to go home. I agree. It seems like Dmitri and Michelle are the favourites this season and one of them is pegged to win. I pretty much haven't liked anything they have done. One his first season Dmitry's looked were all trashy ballroom dancer looks, now he's gone to 90yo Russian peasant lady. All he needs to add is a headscarf. I was disappointed to see Christina go home, but I was more annoyed at her critique. Then judges all telling her she doesn't know who her girl is...when she clearly says she does androgynous street wear for women, and they picked her to win the gender neutral challenge the week before! Then they criticise her for doing something different...but whenever a designer does 'their look' more than once or twice then they always complain that they've seen it before. It seems like they really rocked her confidence which wasn't nice. Dmitry did an old lady dress with a coat that was boxy and didn't match at all & with those weird cut off arms. Apart from the one sleeve thing, I actually liked Anthony Ryan's the best this week.

Watched up to the runway and have comments:
WTH is Alyssa wearing? Elf dominatrix?
I love Michelle’s hair down. She looks almost...normal. Irina is gorgeous in everything she wears, and I love her personal style. I’m tired of seeing Biddell’s shaved chest hair. I don’t get Anthony Ryan but that’s ok. And I just can’t help it but Dmitry is my favorite. I think it’s because he was a dancer and just has that “air” about him? Not sure.
Looks:
Really like Biddell’s despite not ever liking his stuff. Unfortunately it’s not quite as flattering on the runway as I expected it to be. Still, the technical was impressive, which has been lacking.
Irina’s is stunning and technically complicated and well done. I’m just afraid it’s a little too revealing for a royal ball. But for red carpet I love it.
The caftan and Dmitry’s are on par for me. Don’t love them. Don’t hate them. Although blue & yellow are my town’s school colors and the mascot is a bird so...
Michelle’s is awful.
ETA: after runway, the older lady judge is a real treat, I loved her! Alyssa looks like she’s wearing her nightgown. Love Georgina’s dress as always. Nina’s apparently going to a cookout.
And after the show: Agree with the winner, disagree with who went home.
Next week looks interesting. I’ve liked the challenges this season.

Seriously could none of them follow through this week? I think Michelle should have gone home...it was just awful, and the most casual looking to me.
I wish they wouldn’t have picked a winner at all. It would be a lesson to them all to actually complete the challenge they were given. I think they got lucky and let off light.
