Two whole months frozen solid already and that is a big deal for me. But..... the Felicity Jane February kit is calling my name big big time! 😳 And the metal dies too for my TH sidekick I received for Christmas. Ugh!!! So hard being frozen.

Ugh justlisa7 that Felicity Jane though 💕 I love her kits and want them all lol. I was actually watching a January kill a kit share, using a past FJ kit and boy did I want the kit (I think it’s Hannah). I love the embellishments, pp not so much but I can’t justify the price right now ugh. Luckily a while back I had picked up bits and pieces of the Heidi kit which are similar colors, so I pulled that to work with. I’m wanting to buy, but I really do have so much great stuff already. I’m more tempted than I was, so I need to keep busy and not look lol. I made an early Jan AliExpress purchase and then I bought an edge distressed because my pink pacman Heidi Swapp one no longer works ( or I’m out of practice- which is possible because I couldn’t do edge distressing with scissors either 🙄 lol I know I won’t find a replacement in my stash for everything new I want, but I think when I see something I love and really want, I should go to my stash and see what could work

I'm doing well with not getting tempted, mostly because I'm keeping busy and not looking, like you said dasmith2. I sometimes miss watching crafty videos with my lunch, but I'm really trying hard not to get distracted with other people's inspiration because I'm doing perfectly well with my own Valentine cardmaking right now. I need to stay focused on the ideas in my own head. I really like that you're looking in your stash for similar things to what's tempting you. I'm avoiding Jennifer McGuire and Vicki P like the plague right now. If I really want to watch something crafty I can watch some kinds of scrappy videos because I don't actually scrap (at least, not in that way). The "use it or lose it" videos are good - they're not very tempting because it's almost all old stuff I can't easily buy even if I wanted to. Shimelle is tempting me with her new collection, but she's also using Head in the Clouds which I already bought, and the new collection isn't out for ages yet anyway. I'm hoping to use some of HITC before Sparkle City is released and get a reality check on how easy this stuff is to use (without the small paper pad, not very, I suspect) so that might temper my interest.

I’m tempted at the miment by a Papertrey stitching die because it’s uncertain what’s happening with that company and whether things will be restocked if they sell out but I really shouldn’t be buying anything for several months!

I was a little tempted to shop this past week but then I pulled out the mostly unopened things from my last purchase at the beginning of December and realized I'm set for a while.

I have had an itch to shop the past couple weeks, but then I look through my stash and I seriously need nothing. I think I'm just missing getting new things and want to shop just to shop. But so far I've held strong.

Darn I wish you hadn't mentioned the FJ kit because of course I had to go and look at it. And I want it *stamps foot*.
I'm guessing all the pieces I'd want will sell out before it goes on sale (or the sale will start in the middle of the night for me so I'll miss it anyway), but I will just keep reminding myself how expensive shipping is and that I need to buy it on sale to make it a justifiable splurge.

I came across this YT video the other day. It looks like there are others in the series that are hopefully not so much waving hands. But it looked like this scrapper is on a year long freeze, so she might be worth following along with. I'm going to check out some of her other spending freeze videos when I have a chance. That’s what I should do - pull from my stash and make a similar kit with stuff I already own. I have a lot of unused FJ kits too. Gonna try this! Thanks for reminder dasmith2 to shop my stash. . I was looking at the FJ Feb kit 💕🤤 lol and I have an older mme paper and maybe pinkfresh embellies that can replace the kit so far, as soon as I look around my stuff, I’m sure I can come up with some substitutes
I pulled out some older FJ pattern paper - Chloe and I think, Felicity and then some PF and FJ embellishments to make up a similar kit also.
The only thing I did not have is a metal die "love" word at all.
So, I broke my freeze for $9 exactly - buying 3 metal dies on AliExpress. I use that word quite a bit and really wanted the FJ one for $24 plus shipping so badly, but at least I just bought the cheap ones on Ali Express. Anyways, back on the freeze. I seriously almost broke the freeze and ordered the FJ February kit and metal dies - that was going to be $71 including the cost of shipping - so at least $9 is better. I made a better choice for me for now. I think.
I am officially still on the freeze. I went 2 whole months and 3 days not buying anything at all. I still plan on being on it till June 1. FJ is so hard for me to resist. I just love her kits so much. I have so many unused because of not having time, so my goal is to pull them out and my CT ones, and use them to make one layout each to start. We will see.

That is awesome!! Great job!! I almost spent 50 there not including shipping for the Hannah kit and some sale items.. almost lol the older Heidi kit has similar colors, so I’ve used the bits and pieces I bought from that during a sale. I do plan on browsing AliExpress for a similar floral stamp in the Hannah kit. I was watching Kelsey Webster on yt using the Hannah kit and I really wanted it. I really love her kits too! I love the last 2 kits well pretty much all, I can make due with using different pp here and there but I love her embellies too 😍 once in a while, she has a sale and I do plan on picking up some things then. Fingers crossed it’s after these darn winter heating bills are over 🤞 I really have so much in my stash that I want to use. There are things I do want, but running up debt is just going to stress me out right now. I started a small list of things I see that I’d like. If I still want them after a while I’ll probably get a thing or 2 here and there.

I’ve been tempted by some Valentine’s Day stuff despite the fact that we really don’t do anything special to celebrate it! Instead I dug into my stash and made Valentine’s for my son’s class today, using the mini envelope template board I bought from TM months ago and haven’t used much, some really old paper (Making Memories and Chatterbox I think?) and duplicates from some PL kits. I’m going to stamp on them using a couple AE stamps and let him embellish if he wants. I feel really good about using up old product and not succumbing to FOMO!

Wow, I found the earlier posts - thanks for mentioning that. Good for her. Her accent is very unusual to my ear (not that I can talk >.< I have a very odd accent!) I'm not sure I can handle more than about 15 mins of her chatter at a time, and her circular argument for why you shouldn't unsubscribe to YT channels made me want to throw something at her - lol - but i'm taking a look at more of her videos.

I agree though that it's unusual.

I agree though that it's unusual. Mostly I'm OK with regional accents, but there are certain words that she pronounces very strangely. I think she pronounces guilty like guildy, and there are some very perplexing vowel sounds too. But again, I'm not one to talk because I have an accent that's NZ + sort-of-Aus + US = a very unpredictable mess! You know the way Shimelle has started pronouncing some words Britishly but not others? Like that, but much worse. I wonder if this lady has also moved, or if she just has a weird regional variant.

Her tone catches my ear too, I can’t figure it out lol. I was watching part of her spending freeze video the other day, I also have a list of things I want, but am not getting lol. Down the road if I can find them, I may. I get tempted sometimes but if I wait it out , it passes and then I forget about it. I do have to go to Ms for a zig glue pen. I love that thing and I ran out the other day. I don’t plan on shopping or even looking.

I also have a list of things I want, but am not getting lol. Down the road if I can find them, I may. I get tempted sometimes but if I wait it out , it passes and then I forget about it. Yes! (Hopefully I haven't already posted about this - sorry if I start repeating myself!) I found a good way to trick myself was to set up a Pinterest wishlist board that I try not to go back and look at. The physical action of pinning an item feels almost exactly like online shopping, so I can trick my brain into thinking I've ordered it. Brain isn't very smart, so she doesn't usually notice that the thing never arrives! >.< Using company's wishlists works as well, although there's more danger that I'll make a small order and then think "do I have anything in my wishlist to make the shipping cost more worthwhile?" and then I pad the order with a bunch of things I'd actually forgotten about/proved I didn't really need. If I look too often at my wishlists I tend to continue wanting something beyond the point that I actually remember wanting it so I guess I'm better off writing stuff down/pinning it in a place I won't easily look back on. Evernote might work as well - I never browse Evernote.

I'm killing time waiting for one of my DDs, and popped into M's. Bought nothing nada zilch. Didn't even buy adhesive or page protectors with my coupon. I have enough. (This is what I'm telling myself right before I walk into Target) ETA, only bought myself a chocolate milk at Target. So I'm good. Now that I've caught up on this thread though I want to go browse aliexpress.

Oh man I was doing SO GOOD until I had to buy some things for DS#2 school album, then I totally caved and bought the new Project Life Click kit along with the coordinating cardboard stickers. Did I need it? Absolutely not, but it is so stinking cute! Like seriously cute and coordinates so well with several other kits I already own.
Ok back into the freezer I'm going.

I'm doing some reorganizing and decluttering around my workspace which is helping me see all the stuff I have waiting to be used. Putting my die cuts into pockets with one card per pocket made it really clear that I can make a LOT more cards. I think I'm going to need some patterned paper for backgrounds soon, but I'm going to try to make as many cards as I can with what I already have, and then I'll try making my own backgrounds. I have enough distress oxide inks - I should be able to make some. I did buy a set of stickers I've had my eye on for ages and one fancy Japanese washi tape for my bullet journal, but I took all the other stickers and washi tapes out of my cart.

I’m holding strong but I do love that Citrus Twist February kit. I’ve never been interested in doing a TN but their norebook is a binder so the pages can be added however you want. It would be the perfect one for me to try. But no.

I've been really good at not buying anything but I've also not been scrapping much since I finished my Dec album. I do have a running cart going but I'm hoping to not hit the buy button until NSD or longer if my mojo stays on hiatus.

I fell out of the freezer, and went to TM and ordered from hobby lobby. Sigh, I was doing so well. I am up to 24/100 pages. Heading to a weekend crop today! Carrying all my stuff in and out will keep me out of the Joanns next door! I hope.

I do have quite a few unused CT kits pocket page style kits from the second half of last year to use still and love their products and 6x8 paper - so I took them out too look at it and show myself I didn’t need this kit. 😉

I may break my freeze for some Hello Baby and Baseball stuff from Echo Park and Carta Bella. I have a new grandson and have no baby stuff at all, and the other two boys are in little league and I have no baseball stuff either. Got rid of all of it like 4 years ago when a I purged stuff.
I actually talked it over with my husband and just want the 6x6 paper pads and few embellishments to go with them. I have pictures now that i want to scrapbook and have nothing specific for them.
So debating. I feel like this is intentional for photos I have printed now and would not be put aside but used quickly.
But it is still breaking my 6 months freeze. 😐

I spent $3.50 today on a Carta Bella Welcome Home 6x6 pad, and $5 on some ATG refills, so not too bad. But I also got a phone call from my LSS telling me that the Pinkfresh Indigo Hills 2 I ordered back in November! finally came in, but that was part of last year's budget, so it's okay The store is over an hour away, so I'll have to carve out some time somewhere to go pick it up. (I should have just ordered it online and received it sooner, but I wanted to give her the sale.) It's actually a birthday gift, just 3 months late!

Well I fell off the wagon a bit. I cracked open the door to get some things for a specific layout, and ended up shopping for more lol. But I didn't go nearly as crazy as I would have a few months ago, so this spending freeze is really making me mindful of only buying what I love and can actually see myself using.
