I store papers vertically for ease in selection.
Would you rather shop for new supplies or organize your existing supplies? Why?

Organize existing supplies. I’m going to do that this weekend and I’m guessing I’ll find something I forgot about so it will be like it’s new. Win-win.
Monotone layouts or multiple color layouts?

Tough one, but I’ll go with striped.
Clean up after each layout or after a long session?

Clean up? What’s that? I guess after a long session. Clean and simple layout or fully embellished layout?

Clean and simple!

Tim Holtz. While I share neither Tim Holtz' grunge nor Maggie Holmes' feminine floral styles, I incorporate stamping onto my pages & often use Tim Holtz Distress & Distress Oxide inks.
Would you rather create from your personal inventory of supplies or a pre-made kit? Why?
Post by grammadee on Jan 13, 2019 15:08:32 GMT
I am going to say my own inventory. While it is sometimes quicker and easier to grab a coordinated set of supplies and run with it, I love going freestyle b/c it gives me so many options to tell my stories. Love mixing manufacturers and lines, and old and new...
Warm or cool colours?

Jewel tone are my favorite - are those considered warm(?)
Journal on pages for yourself or for others?

Post by grammadee on Jan 14, 2019 3:02:20 GMT
I journal from my point of view.
Would you rather run out of cardstock or run out of glue?
Post by angel97701 on Jan 14, 2019 4:56:57 GMT
Well honestly neither of those are going to happen, but I guess glue? I have a ton of other options to stick things down with I guess! LOL
Would you rather create Mini-albums for special events OR several pages in your normal sized scrapbooks?

Several pages in my normal scrap books
Purge or keep

Would you rather scrap in sunny weather or rainy?

This one made me laugh, as we have much, much more of the latter. If I had to wait for a sunny day, I would never do anything at all! Chipboard embellishments or metal ones?
Post by grammadee on Jan 14, 2019 16:06:34 GMT
I use them both, deciding between the two based on what specific pieces I have at the time, but prefer the look of metal, I think.
Would you rather scrap alone in your scraproom, or in the kitchen/family room with others around you?

Post by crimsoncat05 on Jan 14, 2019 17:07:37 GMT
kitchen/family room with others around is my answer. I have a perfectly good craft room (although it's MESSY at the moment), and last night I was sanding chipboard mini-album pages sitting on the couch, lol!! Since before Christmas, I've been working on our dining room table. It's a good thing we don't ever entertain!
Layouts: few layers & flat, or layered & chunky?
(the layout I've been working on is European-style which is very flat / elegant looking, and it's really difficult for me to not want to add layers of stuff to it; it just doesn't look 'quite right' to me without all the 'stuff' on it.)

Few layers and flat. If you asked me a couple of years ago, I definitely would have said chunky and layered but now I’m very careful to keep my pages and albums as flat as possible.
Snacking while scrapbooking or no food/beverages on work area??

Yes to a drink beside me! Usually just sparkling water, or tea, maybe coffee if it's morning. But snacking no: I use crafty time as a way to DISTRACT myself from food/wanting all the bad stuff. Putting food with crafting leads to mindless gobbling...
So, sending a card - mark it as handmade on the back, or let them figure it out?
Post by crystalb on Jan 15, 2019 16:49:08 GMT
I dont make cards but when I did I put handmade by me on the back.
Would you rather create with the tv/radio/etc on or in silence?
Post by artisticscrapper on Jan 16, 2019 3:43:22 GMT
Radio. I need some background noise to help keep me focused
Guilotime cutter or blade cutter?
Post by grammadee on Jan 16, 2019 16:23:07 GMT
Rotoblade cutter. Paper always slips for me in the guillotine.
To foil or not to foil? That is my question...

X-acto knife on a glass mat, actually ETA: oops, to answer grammadee , no foil. I get nervous about using too much sparkle, LOL Remember these color trends? I recall they were back to back, but I can't remember which 2 years they were at the height of popularity: Which would you pair with brown? Pink or turquoise? (I have a lot of brown paper to use up)

I would probably pick pink but my real preference would be a bright (not lime) green.
Border punch or deco scissors?

Border punch - although I don’t own either!
Lawn Fawn or Avery Elle?

Border punch - although I don’t own either! Lawn Fawn or Avery Elle? Avery Elle. I don't do cutesy like Lawn Fawn. D ring album or post bound album?

Avery Elle. I don't do cutesy like Lawn Fawn. D ring album or post bound album? D-ring all the way! when I used postbound albums, I actually stopped scrapping for years before I found out about the magic of D-ring albums and started up again... I never put a photo across the middle section of a 2-pg layout, so the space in-between the pages doesn't bother me at all. For coloring stamped images: colored pencils or markers?

Markers, definitely. I love the depth of colour you get with them, and no lines!
Rubber stamps or acrylic?
Post by grammadee on Jan 16, 2019 23:51:00 GMT
I prefer acrylic b/c I can see through the stamp to reapply it if need be. Not so important in this day of stamp presses, I guess
Titles: cut electronically, or use stickers?
Post by angel97701 on Jan 17, 2019 5:02:51 GMT
Third unlisted option for me . . . die cut titles, I've not used my electronic die cut for awhile (yikes 5-6 years?) I like to be able to match the layout better, or ink the letters so they are the color I want. I still have a nice collection of Quickutz and a few other brands.
Okay, using up really old supplies . . . would you rather use colored plastic slide mounts OR the Fastenator (think large format staples)? Yes I have both!

Post by jameynz on Jan 17, 2019 7:44:59 GMT
Coloured slide mounts (have to use some up I guess)
Magic mesh OR twistel
