I remember her now that you mention it. She was married to an actor and danged if I can remember his name though. I wanna say it was Carlos or something like that. Now it’s going to drive me crazy. Lol Why did Veronica just jump into my head? Am I making that up? Ring any bells...? I'll keep thinking. Her name was Veronica Ponce, her husband is Carlos Ponce who was an actor. I believe he was on Seventh Heaven and other shows. They lived in Florida and had two biological sons and adopted twin girls from Russia. I believe they are divorced now. And I also think she is Marco Rubio's sister. Her photography was gorgeous, and she was very pretty and seemed like a really sweet pea.

Does anyone remember a guy who used to post. He had a blog, too, and was an IT guy from AZ IIRC. I think he stumbled in here for the photography board and got sucked into the NSBR and always had something good to add to the conversation. It was a time when everyone listed their cameras and lens in their signature and he listed a Fisher Price model along with his SLR. Was he the one who had a photo of New York street in his signature? If so, I believe he died from cancer before the Pea Board ended. No, that doesn't ring a bell.

sassyangel Scrapwench was the pharmacist who gave us the recipe for diaper rash cream!! I made it and it worked. She had a cute pink car as her avatar and went from newbie to top tier pea in record time. She also clashed with Lauren a lot which was amusing:)

I remember him. I don't recall his name - David something, maybe?, but I do remember that he passed and there were a lot of tribute posts on the Photog board. Are ya'll talking about Jonda? I remember his username because I asked him what it meant. He said it was a combo name of Jon and David from the bible. He always had such intelligent thoughtful answers. He was gay and a conservative if that helps anyone's memory.
Did he die or was it another male pea? We haven't ever had many males so they stand out when they're here!
No, not Jonda. This guy was married with a very young son.

No, not Jonda. This guy was married with a very young son. Ooooh I think I know who you mean. He's from St. Louis and his name is also Chris but he's not ZDY. I can't remember his username. He took a lot of pictures of planes and sports and is a MIZZOU fan.

When I first started coming to the boards (in 2002), I couldn’t believe how heated the breastfeeding threads got. Some people had *very* strong opinions on both sides.

You guys! What a walk down memory lane. I was a freelance writer when I first joined (100 years ago) and my "break" when I was working was reading NSBR. My dh said he would peek into my office late at night and I would be sitting in the dark in front of my computer, giggling away.
I remember the first time I was really slammed on the board. Someone had posted about the belt slide awards for cub scouts and I had replied that they didn't really matter, they didn't count for anything in boy scouts -- they were just fun for the cubbies. People came after me hard. I was shocked. I remember years later when ds earned his eagle scout thinking about that post!

I remember a pea (I think it was “treelover” or something) who had a knack for turning any thread to a subtle brag about her wealth. For example, someone would ask “what’s your favorite brand of wrapping paper?”, and she would respond with “well, in our third vacation home, in my custom designed wrapping room, I have mostly paper from ...” etc. On one thread she used the phrase “achingly sharp cheddar”, and I still crack up about that. I always wondered where that Pea-ism came from. I had no idea it was possible to use "achingly sharp cheddar" in an unironic manner 😂

For some reason Alohaaroha comes to mind about the NZ poster who did costumes - she lived in Wellington but was of Hawaiian descent?
Whatever happened to Kiwipolz - she ran and did a video a second a day?

I always loved Nia Reddy’s layouts and reading about her son. A fe years ago I ran across her name online somewhere and saw some pics of her son as a teenager. She was divorced and remarried. She was a very talented and incredibly sweet pea.

Not sure of his exact screen name. He posted not too long ago I think or else someone linked to his blog. He married a girl I think from Russia (or Ukraine) and they now have a child. He was/is a standup comedian.

May this thread serve to remind us all that, at some point, someone has remembered something about each of us here! And we may not each remember everything, but collectively we are a damn force!

I think her diaper rash recipe should be posted here somewhere. Just as a pea legacy item.

Actually the "achingly sharp cheddar" was from a thread about what to give the mailman for Christmas. I don't remember who that poster was, but she was joking, I think in response to some of the ridiculous pea responses!

I'm amused that my problems figuring out why David Holmes was famous and in teen magazines has been remembered. He is still a mystery, but I smile every time I come across another article or photo on him.

To me, the top tier peas were a group who posted non stop and could basically say anything and it seemed others would hang on to their every word or defend them no matter what. Totally ridiculous but also amusing.

I remember the sense of Pea Solidarty when one of our own was unfairly attacked. I remember the sense of Pea Civil War in the same and different circumstances.
I posted malnly on Autism threads. The Meat Blog was terrible and I did but heads with Lauren, RainbowScrapper and a few others. But no long drawn out grudges....who has time for that? Some Peas could argue their way out of an ISIS kidnapping!
I am so glad to have found this place no matter how long it took me. Now if I just could navigate around here correctly....lol

The only men I really remember are Ray (married, in the East, no kids) Jonda ZDY (photographer, deceased, lived in Florida) SlowerJoe (in NY, now in FL-a child, but only recently)
I'm in Az. I feel liked I'd remember if a prominent NSBRer lived here. Your description isn't ringing any bells.

I vividly remember a long thread about the London Olympics. The opening ceremony included a section where ‘doctors’ and ‘nurses’ performed and Mrs T swore blind it was the UK getting in a dig to the USA about how good our NHS is compared to the American system 🙄Unfathomable ... I was going to mention that. No, no, *I* was going to post about that. You Brits stole my bestest memory. Typical. To parse it a bit, my memory is that Mrs. Tyler claimed the performance was obviously a pointed jab at American conservatives who did not approve of government-sponsored health care. Y’all were flaunting your system just to be mean to the likes of her. But persecution was always a theme for her. I also fondly remember the time she told me I was in very serious need of immediate psychological counseling because I wrote that I was afraid of guns. She added that I was obviously consumed with fear and needed to get out more and expose myself to the world. Funny thing was that I read that post while I was sitting on an el train riding through the west side of Chicago in the company of more than one gangbanger...
