Kelly, can you see me jumping up and down and shouting? Hooray for Ron and hooray for you! I'm so happy for both of you. I hope this develops into a full time position or leads to a full time position. So glad you got to the art exhibit. What kind of art orders did you get? Get going on it so we can share in your art again! That's an order!
Glad you and Cindy are enjoying the ball games. I just hide out in my scraproom when they are on and put on an old movie on my tiny TV. There is something about the background noise of a ballgame that really gets to me. I just can't stand it. And when the announcers get excited and start screaming the plays I have to get out of there. I must be extra sensitive to noise.

I did get a chance to finish my layout. I was waiting for stickles to dry last night, but had a few minutes to finish this morning.  Off to get ready for Cubs and try to remember to take photos! |

That is what kind of shopper I like! I hate shopping!!! What an awesome page! Love the colors and the sticker effect to the title! That banner with the Mickey silhouettes is adorable and that photo of Drew-he is a very happy guy with that light saber!
I am up and moving this morning as they moved Bob's surgery to today instead of Friday! And I have a hair appointment this morning. Had a fun evening at Creative Passions last night. I was made live at Digi U so I was talking with everyone live rather then typing like normal. We kind of reversed things last night and we were teaching Tami how to use Camera Raw in Photoshop and Elements. If anyone is interested the have a new instructor who will be teaching the basics of Photoshop and Elements and digital scrapbooking. I will let you know when it is scheduled to begin.
Well I will be back later and update everyone on how the day went.

Just a quick note we are home and Bob is fine. He walked to the car! He was done under a local , the lesion was removed and they did a graft from his thigh. For those who do not know my D had a carcinoma lesion on his scalp. I guess it is common thing and occurs mostly in men. All is well!

Cindy, so glad to know that Bob is doing well. I'll bet the thigh will be more sore than the head. My neighbor who was run over by the tractor had to have huge grafts from his thighs to cover his entire abdomen and he said the only thing that hurts still is the thighs. Give him a hug from us. Glad it's over and all went well. The classes on Photoshop sound wonderful. Someday I'd love to learn, but I really think I'd need one of my DD's right beside me the whole time or I'd be discouraged. I really struggle with technology. I'm so proud of the way you have learned EVERYTHING about how to digi scrap. I finished another Disney page. It got a little too busy, but it's done and I'm not redoing it. In all the time we were at Disneyland, this was the only time either of the children were grumpy. Angie and I both happened to take a photo at the same time, so I used them both. I don't even know why he was pouting. They were so happy and well behaved the entire time.  |

Oh Nylene how cute is that! I love the title and I am pinning this one for it! Awesome a case of the grumpies!!!! Great color and font and I am loving that camera too!
Bob is doing well -has not needed any pain medicine! The graft site just made a big mess bet we were warned about it! I am glad it is over too. Time to move on but I thank his rheumatologist who sent him for the biopsy cuz he did not like the looks of that lesion. That doc is one of the beat docs I have ever met. He took care of the lady we were guardians for. He is such a nice and patient man. Ok dinner is over and I am going to get ready to watch the news!

Happy Thursday! Last night we went to another outdoor city sponsored festival celebrating the Cuban culture. This is the one I was planning on selling my art at. We were not ready this time around but maybe next year when things settle down more. But we did enjoy hearing all the music, seeing the art and just watching everyone. I am not very familiar with their culture but they sure know how to celebrate and party! Lots of families, music, and DANCING! Oh boy the performers were dancing, the dance floor was full and those who chose to stay in their seats were dancing too. Ron and I shook a little something too, (from our seats) LOL! I think it is so neat the city sponsors family friends events like this and hope to attend more.
Nylene- Yes, it warmed my heart to know you were jumping up and down about my dh's new job! He has had a great week there and I am so happy he is working. So happy for him too.
Your two layouts are so fun. The star wars one is so cute and so is the journaling. Like grandfather like grandson when it comes to shopping. So cute! I like that blue pp that feels perfect for the star wars theme. Love the banner and stars! Oh and the other one is adorable too. That face your dgs is making was so cute. He probably was just pooped out. The flowers and all the details you added are so pretty too. Awesome work!
You asked about my art order, well, my cousin wants me to make up some cards and a print with some of my art. So this is my first order. I was surprised and excited to see she wanted to buy my art. So cool!
Cindy- So happy your dh got through it all and is doing ok. Boy, these dh's of ours have had a tough time between health issues and job searches. They are some strong dudes and glad things have worked out for them all. Now us wives can relax! Awwwww! LOL!

Seems like we are a quiet bunch this month. I think that as the holidays approach we will really slow down. At least that's how my scrapping goes.
I spent yesterday with my 3 sisters driving to the funeral of our cousin's husband. It seems strange to have all of our parents' generation gone now and we are the next generation to go. Makes you very aware of mortality. It was nice to get to see so many of our relatives and catch up on their families.
I need to run finish stuff for Cubs, but hope to get back here before too long. I just never seem to get a moment to sit down in my scraproom.

Good evening everyone! Nylene so sorry to hear about the loss of your family member. Not much has been going on here. I worked on a few of my Christmas cards. I got news today that I never thought I would hear. Pat is going to stop scrapping for a while. She has some she needed to do for November then she is done. She said she will do a few important ones but otherwise she is going back to quilting for a while. I am tired -I have been working on my steps-made 9000 today! Bob's head is doing well and so is his leg. Well it is getting late and I am heading to bed.

Hey ladies! It is slow but I hope everyone is doing fine. My week has been slow just recharging my batteries. I have been thinking about Christmas cards. I have some leftover pp from my Anna Griffin collections that I may use. Hope some nice ideas come to me this year. I think I am bored with making the same type of designs over and over. Time to try something new. Nylene- Sorry to hear about your loss but glad you were able to see and enjoy your family. Are your Cubs doing anything special for Halloween? They sure keep you busy and that is so good.  Cindy- Thanks for letting us know about Pam. I have missed her and hope she will pop in from time to time. Waving hi to you Pam if you are reading this. Is the weather good for your hikes? I am sure you will get more steps in this Fall. Sounds so fun! Yeah, and your Browns are doing well. That is cool! |

Hi, everyone. Cindy, I can't believe Pat is taking a scrapping break. I'd love to see the quilts she makes during this time. I hope she'll post photos so we can see. Glad Bob's head is doing well and that his leg is also. Wow, you are really getting your steps in. You must be doing very well on your plan. I've slowed down on my steps because my feet have been so sore, but they are healing so I'm going to start walking each day after school and take a walk with DH at night. Dani, how's the job hunting going in Brazil? Hope you are getting some scrappy time occasionally. Kelly, have you been working on your stencil girls? I think it's wonderful that you have an order. See....you are an artist and we knew you when you were just dabbling!!! Hope things are well for you and Ron. It's beautiful weather right now. We nearly always have snow for Halloween, but this year it will be 77 until after dark. The kids will LOVE it. They are usually in boots and coats covering their cute costumes. This will be my last Disney page for the month. Can't believe how quickly time flies. Waving to all the Pokeys. Hope to see some of our former friends back next month. I'll post a new month's thread on Sat.  |

Love the colors and the sweet balloons with the silhouette! So cute!
I finally lost a pound from the starting weight so it has my adrenalin pumping me up!
My goal today is 10,000 steps. I made 9300 yesterday. Glad your feet are feeling better! Will be back later but need to close for now~!
Oh and we are getting SNOW this weekend-no accumulation though!

It's been a long day today. I went to read with the children at school at 8:30 and ended up staying to help with Lyssie's Halloween Party until 2:15. Em is her room mother and had things planned so well. It was loud and busy and lots of fun. But I know now why teachers retire by my age!!!
I'll put up November's thread tonight or in the morning.
