At least the men will not be returning to Warwick. I should damn well think not. bbc.in/2DThRnyGood job and all. I don't know how they could have the audacity to walk onto that campus after what they did, any of them. Entitlement - pure and simple. I’m sure they and their families have convinced themselves it was just ‘banter’ and therefore completely fine. My DD texted me the name and photo of one of them last night. She’s also going to contact her uni student union reps to ask about policies regarding verbal and online threats of physical and sexual abuse. I imagine many unis will be updating their policies on this.

I don't think it's their policies that need updating, the disciplinary policies and procedures are already there, and are there in every Uni's handbook, certainly at the Uni's I've know people go to. Warwick is no exception. It's the penalties for the offence, whatever that offence might be that needs to be looked at. The penalty of being suspended for 12 months for what they did doesn't fit the seriousness of the offence. Warwick did take action, it was the penalty that they gave out that is and should be under review.
