Whitworth and Brockers are both former LSU players so I will cheer for them. LSU has the distinction ~ tied with Georgia ~ of having a former player win a Super Bowl ring for the past 18 years. Since we have several players on the Patriots, we're assured that the tradition will continue. It still hurts my heart that the Saints should probably be in the game instead of the Rams.

What happened in the Saints & Rams game? It sounds like the outcome was surprising. Did the Saints blow a big lead?

I do NOT want the Patriots to get another ring. That would give them one more than the Cowboys.

I don't know what the answer is, because as long as humans are making the calls (as they should be, I'd hate for sports to lose that element), there's room for human error. Refs, umpires, etc...are an important part of the games, but they can't see everything, and they make mistakes. When a game is on the line, especially a championship game though, there's gotta be a better way. I can't stand Roger Goodell.

I am only giving ya'll two choices... I know, like me, neither.. BUT pick one... But I just can't root for cry baby Brady.. ugggg... lol So Rams it is... It maybe the first time in my life time I may not watch it period. I am so mad about what happened to the Saints. And Goodell is just making it worse. They need to stop talking!! The more they say the worse they make it. Maybe because as a die hard Pack fan and what happened this year earlier and at the end of last year, we've been there a time or two. Sean Payton might be new hero lol! One of the tweets I read from him was that he went into hiding and ate icecream and watched netflix for three days! I did something similar this year and last! lol! It's HARD being a die hard fan! LOL!

Anybody but the Patriots. They cheat. They really aren't the rampant cheaters that haters make them out to be. I know you're not going to believe anything that refutes the cheating stories though. I just kinda chuckle at all the whiner comments about Brady. If they have a bad game, he's owns it. I never hear him whining afterward or blaming anyone. I'm not a giant Brady fanatic like a lot of Patiot fans, but he is hella talented and I'm glad he's on our team. Now people talk bad about Gronk and I'll take offense to that. I do not follow enough to know why they are called cheaters (other than the deflated ball thing which I am guessing everyone did/does and they just got caught).. I was going to ask if they REALLY are horrible cheaters or if this is something that people just jump on because it is fun to hate Brady and gang??? Also, I always wonder why the biggest names in sports get such hate and it seems like people enjoy seeing them mess up. LeBron for instance..... people love to hate him...

Go Pats! As far as the quarterbacks go, what's that quote? Youth and skill are no match for old age and treachery.

Also, I always wonder why the biggest names in sports get such hate and it seems like people enjoy seeing them mess up. LeBron for instance..... people love to hate him... I think you are right. I am sure everyone did (or does??) the deflate ball thing. And it was deflated for both teams, so perhaps I am jaded, but we've seen people who find out the other teams plays!! so this one seems minor to me. I also think people don't like Brady because he is a bit full of how great he is and his sidekick lays it on as well. A little bit "better than thou" only the fact is they both really are! I hadn’t considered that. In that case I need to change my reply, go Pats! ~ your friendly neighborhood Washington fan And yes, yet one other reason! As for the Saints, they were seriously robbed. There were other bad calls in the game as well, that would have made a difference, too, so for me it wasn't really dependent on that one call. The refs in that game seriously blew it a few times over. Not impressed. I hope it leads to some serious changes. We can't always have refs calls reviewed - that is exhausting - but that one was terribly egregious.

I loathe Tom Brady. #cheater. DH on the other hand really thinks that TB is the greatest of all time.

I'm boycotting because of the Saints game. Who Dat!
Just kidding, but I really do know plenty of people who are (I have a nice sized New Orleans and South MS friend base). I just don't enjoy football on TV (I like it in person), so the Super Bowl is never that exciting to me.

Whoever beats the Patriots. Still really mad the Saints aren't in it though.
And I vote for endless guacamole, pan fried onion dip and commercials.

I don’t think anything of basketball players in general, because it’s not a sport I enjoy. But I think LeBron is a good person and can respect that he’s great at his sport. I know for me, I don’t like to see the same team win year after year after year. And I feel like when they do, you only ever hear the same names thrown about. When the Patriots win the name Brady dominates the news cycles. Hello! He didn’t win that game by himself! (I also cannot stand his wife, so that leads to my general dislike of him). But, it’s sports and athletes and in general I don’t spend too much time thinking about them as a whole. 😉

FY I and a tid bit if most know? The last two time these two teams met was 2002. I know it well because it was right after 9/11. U2 did the halftime that brought fans and football fans to tears. I post it to my FB every year since. We were also in NYC just a few wks before in Jan. of the same year. as well as being in NYC days after 9/11. Not being a Pats r Rams fan as I said it's so hard to watch them go again. But I get the fan base! It's one of the great things about football! There are some LOYAL fans out there!
