My son is here from YVR and he drives a sports car so I am going to make sure he goes home early on Sunday. I am right in Victoria and heard we are in for quite a bit.

Does the wet weather affect you guys negatively? I love the rain and being able to wear a coat in winter (ok a jacket). I love winter in this area. I don’t do heat in summer but I love our winters! I hate our winters, and I'm only an hour or so north of you. Love warm weather. Was in a convo on Twitter & apparently Vancouver Island could technically be considered the PNW. I'd never really thought about it, but it makes sense. We seem to get the same - or at least very similar - weather systems, I would prefer the snow hold off until Tuesday. Monday I need to drive up island to Comox. That’s my neck of the woods and Monday and Tuesday look ok but will depend on road conditions from Sunday’s snowfall.

I wouldn't mind a snow day on Monday but the forecast says only 20% of rain (or snow, if cold enough) so I don't think it is going to happen. Maybe the following weekend?

The weather doesn't bother me until late March or April, when I officially become sick of being cold and the days being rainy and gray. Then, after summer, I always feel relief when the weather turns in October and we get the fog and damp weather. That closed-in feeling is comforting.

This late fall/winter has been brutal for me. I don’t mind the cold, but can’t deal with the darkness it seems so much darker than previous years. I honestly don’t mind the rain as long as we have some sunlight mixed in.

I need to be able to eat dinner at night when it’s dark. I hate eating in daylight hours. It’s got to be just me. I am not a total vampire but I do like the cold and rain.

The for asr is now looking like it might actually snow tonight.... Currently, my phone says it is supposed to start snowing at 7pm tonight and snow all night. We'll see. It's 38 degrees and raining, so it's going to have to drop a bit.

I’ve told the kids to plan on school Monday, but they’re acting like a snow day has already been called, even my college-kids . I’m heading out now to stock up on food for the next couple of days anyway. Stupid, I know, on a Superbowl morning, but I want enough fresh stuff in the house so I don’t have to go shopping again for a while if it does snow. It’s looking likely I will get called into work tonight though. I told my department I’d be available so it’s my fault. Ugh... .

It will be worth braving the crowds today if you are stuck home tomorrow. We went to Safeway yesterday and it was like it was the night before Thanksgiving...had to drive down 3 different rows in the parking lot just to find a space.

I went to Costco yesterday and it was a mistake of epic porportions. Saturday afternoon is bad enough but add in the threat of snow and Super Bowl and...yeah. I almost gave up and went home because I couldn’t even get a parking spot. It was brutal.

Not only is it Super Bowl, but the first of the month and the news keeps predicting a bad Monday. There was no parking spaces. We did leave and went to Wendy’s for a quick dinner.

Went to Winco yesterday morning, got a good parking spot and in and out in less than hour.
ETA- every store had a stacks of ice melt and Winco had a few snow sleds. This is the 1st time this winter to see that much.

You should have gone in the afternoon. The only spots were over by the nail salon. The lot was crazy.

It’s snowing on the highway in higher elevations. I though I might need socks today but decided against them. It’s not that cold yet.

Snowing like mad in South Snohomish/Mill Creek area. Everything is covered. I'm hunkered down for the day. If it stays cold, I'm guessing we are out of school tomorrow. The roads are going to be a mess if the temperatures get as low as predicted.

I’m near issaquah and it’s been snowing here for a couple hours pretty hard. Plenty on cars, trees, and grass- not sticking on road.

I don't care too much about the game, so I went shopping at about 3:15 this afternoon. It was super crowded when I got there and everyone was rushing around, but by the time I got done, it was pretty empty. The cashier said it had been crazy all day up until then.
Snowing down here in Pierce County too. My husband is the manager of a company that does snow/ice removal, so he's glued to the weather reports and cameras.

2-3 inches on the ground here in our part of Tumwater. All schools are closed so my kids got their wish, though combined with our teachers’ strike at the beginning of the year they are pretty much going to be attending school until July at this rate.
Stay safe everyone!

We got quite a bit out in Redmond. I have a flight this morning and the drive to the airport was slow and slippery. None of the roads (520 or 405) had been plowed at all (I left home at 4:00 am).
