Stopped for several hours here down in Pierce County and picked back up fast and furious. Did you all see Walter Kelley's comment:
3pm on 2/8/19... In case you are wondering….. New snow Sunday evening, Monday evening, Tuesday, Wednesday morning, Thursday afternoon, Friday, Saturday…… YEP models show NEW SNOW FOR A LONG TIME!!!! (through the 18th or longer).

It’s stopped snowing here in Redmond. It’s currentky showing a 50% chance of snow overnight. This morning it said 90% chance. I’m starting to feel like it won’t be as bad as predicted. That being said, we lost power around 5:00 which sort of sucks. We have a generator, but haven’t turned it on yet. We will before bed if power is still out. Hope your power gets fixed soon.

Snow report from Mill Creek/South Snohomish- still snowing! DH was home yesterday and when the temps warmed up (pre-snow), he went out and shook the snow from the rhodies and the Japanese maples. As of this morning, you can't tell...they are completely covered again. We are all tucked in for the day. My oldest goes to school in Bellingham and he said there isn't much snow, but there is a cold wind.
Stay safe and warm, everyone!

We got 11" of new snow on top of the 2" left over from last weekend. And it's still snowing. Crazy!! Very pretty though. Saw a few transformer-blowing flashes last night, but we still have power.

We don’t have snow but we have wind. We also are electrically challenged. I am laying here in bed with a blanket on trying to decide if I should go to Starbucks. I am guessing yes.

Looks like some flights out of SeaTac are cancelled. DH is supposed to fly to WA DC tomorrow morning. Watching carefully!

We have zero snow where I am in Hillsboro. There are some wet flakes coming down now, but nothing is sticking. Some parts of the metro area got snow here but nothing like what you all got up in the Sound.

Fingers crossed for her and your husband! It stopped snowing here in the last half hour. There is probably 5” here. Maybe a bit more.....I’m going to head out for a walk shortly. Considering it snowed for pretty much 20 hours, that doesn’t seem like a lot of snow, but I’ll take it From my place near DT the skies are clearing to the north and east. I can see the cascades pretty clearly north of I-90.

Our front door was snowed in.
It is 9:30 and I haven’t left any of the birds out. Poor little ducks would get blown away in this wind.

The police are at the top of my street as a tree fell down. I am not sure when we will get power. I went to Starbucks a while ago and they have power. I have two backup juice boxes for when my phone dies. I can make something on the burner outside if I get hungry.

I have a bigger problem as there is a huge tree down on my street. It affects the electricity but it’s below my house and I can still get out of the driveway luckily.

It's been snowing since yesterday in Eastern Washington. This morning its snowing and blowing icy snow all over. Main roads have not been plowed. Good thing we went grocery shopping last night. Sweet neighbor and his young son shoveled front walk and drive. Of course you can hardly tell now.

The winds are crazy over here and I’m glad they aren’t as bad as they predicted One neigbor has someone blow her driveway. He was out there and it was all just blowing right back. We have big drifts in our driveway and all along the house, but we aren’t going to bother shoveling out until this wind dies down. Plus it says windchill is -5 right now so no way am I going out unless I have too. When the wind really gets going we can’t even see across the street. Looks like some highways are having white out conditions from blowing snow and they ware closing them down. I’m just glad power has stayed on because we don’t have another heat source.

Some parts of the metro area got snow here but nothing like what you all got up in the Sound. Vancouver here, we have 4 inches! I cannot believe the discrepancy within such a short distance. It is lovely here. I went for a nice long walk, got my 10,000 steps in already! I only came home because I didn’t think I should be knocking on random stranger’s doors to see if I could borrow their bathroom. I am so greedy that I am hoping for more, I am particularly worried that I will have snow up here but my school won’t. I don’t want to drive in this, I have a very little car and I don’t like driving on ice in it. We have very icy roads under the snow here. I almost got hit while walking on the sidewalk by some idiot in a Jeep driving way to fast. Had to hustle into someone’s yard to avoid him. Glad I was paying attention!

I didn’t let anybody out. I put food in the cages but they can all stay put.
Our house is on a hillside and the blowing snow is just crazy. I can no longer see the valley below us.
Crazy! This is the desert, we don’t get this is kind of weather. It can get to the coast.

It’s so gorgeous out, and so peaceful. The snow where I am is perfect. Light but sticky enough to make snowballs/ snowmen/ice forts with. Our fountain is beginning to freeze. A few more days and it should be an amazing ice sculpture!

I know it is a PITA to have to live with it, but I’m still jealous of the snow. We also get it so infrequently here that everyone panics and everything is shut down. Beautiful pics, TFS!
I’m with y’all in spirit. Woke up to the house being 52* this morning. We might have to turn on our heater for the second or third time this year. Boo.

Im guessing we got close to 6 inches at our house on the eastside of Seattle. Bummer about the cancelled flights at SeaTac ...mid winter break starts Thursday and I know several families that were heading to Hawaii or Mexico this weekend.

I love this, well except for the grumpy teen since we won’t let her drive View AttachmentMaybe take her out. This is what my Dad did with me. I was 16 and we got quite a bit of snow. (Side note - school was cancelled on my 16th birthday. It sucked!) So my Dad took me to an empty parking lot and let me go all out. Best. Experience. Ever. At first I was timid, driving carefully. So my Dad told me to get out. He got in the driver’s seat and showed me not to be scared, to go all out. He said, this was the time to learn. And it was. I learned what the car would do, how it would respond when I floored it or when I slammed on the breaks. How it would slide when I tried to turn quickly. I even got it stuck, which my Dad wasn’t planning on. But he taught me how to rock the car back and forth by going between drive and reverse. This experience taught me a lot and when I drive in snow now, I rely on what I learned that day. I’m in North Bend (WA) and we got about 6” yesterday. They’re predicting more snow through the 18th. Urg!!! Can I just say this makes me a little nervous. I’m having a hysterectomy on February 21st.

He was really bummed that he couldn’t get out to see his other HS friends that were home for the holidays. gmcwife1 any big empty parking lots near you?

We got well over a foot in our part of Tumwater. I haven’t seen this much snow since we lived in Germany. It took me about 90 minutes to shovel out the driveway to get my Durango out. Our streets are not scraped so I had to follow previous tire tracks to get out of my neighborhood but it was slippery as hell. The main roads have a ton of slush on them but are manageable. I made another trip to Walmart just to get back-up supplies, and I was surprised how full their shelves were again. I stocked up on lots of bread, peanut butter, tuna, and cookies . We’ve been without power since 6:00am. I hope they are able to get it back up before tonight, because it’s going to be really cold otherwise.

My dd is in Bremerton. By 9 am today (Saturday) they had 9". They probably have picked up another 2 during the day. The two bridges that connect east and west Bremerton are both closed. There are apparently cars abandoned all over Kitsap county, even on some pretty major roads. Apparently Kitsap County (i.e. Bremerton, Port Orchard, Silverdale, Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island) only owns SIX snowplows. SIX. That is for a truly large area. Bremerton residents were told to expect it to be 36-48 hours before the main roads are plowed there. DD can't get out of her subdivision due to both the amount of snow and the ice underneath the snow. She's hoping she stocked enough food to get them through. Most of the stores in Bremerton and Silverdale stayed closed today. She tried multiple times over the last week to find either a snow shovel or salt, and was unable to find either.
Meanwhile, in our old neck of the woods on Bainbridge, there was 11"!!!
I love snow, but I'm quite happy with the weather here in Tampa. Cloudy today, supposed to have rain showers tonight, but the high was still about 76.
