Wow this year is going fast. How is everyone doing on their goals?
The yardsale was last weekend. Unfortunately weather sucked. So. Turn out was small.
One vendor has crazy deals. She was a design team member for crafters companion. She was selling sealed stamps and dies for $1-$3. Yeah I had a field day.
And SU rep was selling off cardstock , with matching ink, reinker and marker for crazy deals. My friend and I split on it. Walked away with 10 packs of cardstock for $25. My friend kept the ink etc plus 10 packs of cardstock for $45.
So after all said in done it ended up costing me $20. So what I sold vs what I bought. But honestly the $5 table fee was worth it just to buy first.
It was a fun day. My friend came to help sell and hang out. Was a good group of ladies too so we had some laughs.
I have made good progress on my scrappy room. Really have enjoyed just going thru my stuff again
Art journal class is this weekend really need to get my ATC s done for it. This month is distress oxide. I have idea just need to execute. This month's class is open. I'm doing a canvas. This time an actual canvas. I'm going to do a song lyric on it. "my favourite colour is you"
I have only preordered two things from CHA. The distress archival inks and one Tim Holtz stamp. I have a few wants from the lawn Fawn release but not up yet from my lss yet.
I've watched a lot of videos from CHA. Got me really inspired.

I have a bit of fun money that I have been spending on stuff on a facebook group called Scrapbook Deals. I also ordered from Scrapbook.com on the free shipping day. I bought a bunch of thickers and enamel dots. I also ordered something from Peachy Cheap and if I had thought about it for more than an impulse second I would have skipped it. It came with a 6x6 pad and I rarely use that size.
One thing I have been keeping up with is getting photos printed. In fact I am current on printing photos as of today. I just need to pick them up today. I have quite a stack of photos with a crop next weekend, hopefully one the weekend after and a retreat at the end of the month. A new baby changes so quickly I can't keep myself from taking photos every time I see her, about twice a week.
At my last retreat in Nov I started on my Arizona photos and I think I am going to take those along with me again this time. Finishing those photos is a goal of mine for this year.
I think I need to slow down on the purchases. I hate when a purchase shows up in the mail and I ask myself, "Why did I buy this?"

Some random scrappiness:
I am on the last 3-cartridge package of ink refills. My LSS's supply has not yet come in.
I need cards for 3 birthdays this month. I have one of them finished and one on the go.
I am playing with some fun winter photos my dd sent me. Should get a couple of pages done today.
Dug out my heart dies today. I am not a big valentines person, but there is a challenge to put hearts on our pages and cards this month, so I am going to try to add hearts in random colours and patterns in random places on the pages I create this month.
Mid month I get to pick up my new die storage cube, so will take some time to organize my dies.

I updated my Cameo a while back and pretty much immediately shut it off right after. I hate feeling like I have to relearn where everything is. So I'm planning on playing around with it for a while today. I'd also like to practice cutting the outer edge only of a shape. I've never done that before. As usual, I have a pile of layouts that need journaling that I'd like to work on today. I already printed the journaling so it won't take long. I'd love to get those into an album this weekend. I'm about to make some tea and get started. Have a great day, ladies!

Ok so I woke up this morning and I told myself I needed to clean my kitchen and dining room and then I could scrap. I attacked both days challenges and then I was hungry for more. But I stopped myself. I was like, no pace yourself, wait for the next challenge. So I spent the rest of my day going through everything I had packed from my October crop to see what all I had, what I wanted to accomplish, and how I could incorporate my new photos into my existing kits. It was very satisfying.
But, I feel overwhelmed with my amount of kits and I felt glad that I skipped this month for sure. I get the scraproom kit and this month just didn't appeal to me. Then yesterday I went to A Cherry on Top and I didn't even buy anything. I stopped off at Hobby Lobby last night and picked up some flowers, gems, and another distress oxide. I've been slowly adding one at a time. I ended up spending $24.
I am debating buying some pocket pages. I don't want to full on pocket scrap. No cards or anything like that but looking at my pathetic Christmas photos, I just keep feeling like many of them aren't worth scrapping so maybe I'll just throw them in a sleeve so they are there to look at.

Heavens to Murgatroyd, I have been doing journaling and dates for hours and my eyes are about to glaze over. I was determined to finish all of my unfinished layouts today but someone beat me to the computer before I could start cutting titles. The good news is that I only have five titles to cut and I will have 33 finished layouts. There's always tomorrow I guess. I've said in the past that I need to make a rule for myself that I'll only allow myself a dozen unfinished layouts and then I'd need to finish the journaling, titles, or dates on them before I move on but I never listen to myself! Tomorrow I'll be happy to have all those layouts in an album, though.

jeremysgirl I use pocket pages occasionally for excess photos. Sometimes I even cut the pocket page down, so I only add (6) 4x6 photos, not 12. The other thing I do is just adhere (6) 4x6 photos directly to a piece of paper and do a layout for opposite that page.

Good ideas mikklynn. I'm just not feeling like those pics turned out well at all and bad pics just don't make you want to scrap. On another note, I am needing to thank you once again. The circle cutter has come in handy. My 9 year old stepdaughter saw me use it yesterday and she thought it was the coolest thing ever.

I made 12 Christmas cards yesterday during the Super Bowl. I'm trying to make them regularly, so I have them in time for the card swap.

I watched this video the other day and thought it would be perfect to use with pictures that you don't love. (Minus the snowman). You could cut down the pictures to 1 x 1 or 2 x 2 and put them in place of the snow flakes and stars. That way you are still documenting the day, but the pictures aren't the focus. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKP4IRbbq3o

I finally got some scrapping done.
I finished my dd's Japan trip pics. Twelve 12x12 layouts.
I finished four 12x12 layouts for my other high schooler.
And two 8.5x11" layouts for my younger ones.
I have a bunch of mojo, and am hoping it continues.

My kits came on Friday, but I have not done anything with them. I love the kits because the often include papers or companies I wouldn't know about otherwise. The Graphic 45 papers in the January kit are from the Flutter collection. I often struggle with G45 b/c their detailed graphics intimidate me, but this collection will be even more of a challenge than usual. Some papers are really pretty, but then there are others... There's an odd mix of butterlies, bees, ants, and BEETLES! The February kit is beautiful, all from the MME Gingham Farm line. Not what I need to scrapbook my active dgk's, but I am thinking this one will be fun to use to scrap some heritage photos. It has lots of black & white with beautiful florals.

Yesterday I finally ordered my January pics. It was a slow month. Not many pics.
Today I did one 4x6 PL style card for my teen's school album. Took five minutes. Easy peasy.

Just the one: Scrapbooking Fanatics out of St Albert, Alberta. She sends them out, two months at once, every second month. Like I said, I like that she kits lines I would not normally look for myself. I keep her kits together in a bin, and often go there when I am looking for that special something. Used some pieces from a 2015 kit last week. The down side of that is sometimes getting something I really wonder if I will ever be able to use. Like papers with bugs...
