I think I've had my CM circle and ovel cutter for 15 years and I still use it! I needed three cirlces for a Universal Studios layout I'm working on and my circle punch was leaving a weird white edge on the paper. My CM cutter worked perfectly!
What older tools do you still use? I have punches that are 10+ years old, plus my original Fiskars scissors that are still sharp. I hope some of my newer We R Memory Keepers and Tonic tools have the same longevity.

I have two sets of CM shapes, ovals and circles, and a set of the RGB cutters - both found at thrift, separately no less. The shapes were... 3$? I think the blades were 2$. I use them more for drawing than cutting, but it's nice to have a set.
Both my die cutters are old - a purple Spellbinders Wizard, and the original red Sizzix with the pump handle. Again, thrift store finds. The Wizard was five bucks, and the Sizzix was... 9$? I think. Came with the system converter. I have various corner and shape punches, a guillotine paper trimmer that looks like it came out of the 70's, and metal rulers I used back in high school. All of 'em are still working just fine.

I still use my CM circle cutter too. I remember when I ordered it the rep tried to talk me out of the purchase saying how infrequently it would be used. I use those circles way more than the ovals which largely sit untouched. I've never seen the need to buy circle punches while I still have the CM cutters.

I still have—and use—my CM circle cutters. I had to replace the blades at one point. I have ovals and some different shapes, but use the circles most. I also have an EKSuccess curvy cutter for larger circles, and use that quite often, too. Use them both on my SLICE glass mat.

I still have and use my CM circle cutters too! I love all of CM tools. They have the best tools ever and they’re very well made and last forever. I just recently had to replace the small photo/paper cutter.

I sold mine years ago and missed it so much that I bought another one. I think it's one of the best circle cutters out there. I will no longer depart with it again.

I had gotten rid of mine, but after using them at a crop bought myself another set and have used them a ton already. They have a permanent place in my home now.

I still have mine from 2002 or 2003, the CM circle punches too. I don't use them a lot but I would never get rid of them.

Yup still have & use mine. The CM scissors are my favorite and most used scissors in my craft space. I never get rid of tools.

The oldest tools I use the MOST often are my original CM scissors (20+ years old, now), and all my original CM shape punches- circles, squares, and hexagons. I thought I lost those scissors, once, and I was so sad! thankfully, I found them again, lol. I also still have my CM circle cutters + mat, and I still use them once in a while, too. I'd use them more often if I had them out next to me when I'm scrapping.
I have quite a few tools / supplies that are 10-15 years old or more.

I use them all the time - mostly for cards - but sometimes for layouts.
Love them. They made great tools!

I still use mine all the time! I never really liked much of the CM stuff, but think those were a really well-made tool.

I still use my circle and oval cutters occasionally, although not often in my albums anymore. They are useful for card making, for those who don't want shaped photos.
Just about any and all older tools can be used for card making. As a result, there are very few older tools that I don't use. Besides, most tools make a comeback eventually to the scrapbooking world.

I just used my CM circle cutter a few weeks ago, twice in 2 days. It's a great tool when you need a precise cut that's bigger than punches. I really love mine.

I do, too- but I think there's a bit of a size range where they don't work, or else I'm missing the smallest template. I have a 2-inch punch, but I thought the circle templates wouldn't cut anything smaller than about 3 inches, and sometimes I'd like to cut something in-between. I should look at mine again, just to be sure.

I had this tool a hundred years ago, sold my scrapbook stuff in 2009 and then came back to scrapping in 2016 and this tool was one I wanted again. There was a thread here about Christmas wishes and this was mine. Mikklynn was so nice, she RAK'd me hers. I was using it just on Saturday and my 9 year old stepdaughter just thought it was the most amazing thing ever!

I have mine, plus the ovals and hexagons.
I haven’t used the circles or hexagons lately, but I did get out the ovals to finish some high school senior pictures I wanted to add to a layout.
Who remembers trading photos with friends? I graduated in 1980, and we all traded wallet photos within our friend groups. Usually, you wrote a nice note on the back and signed it (lots of i’s dotted with hearts Lol). I did not want to adhere the photos to the page and lose the handwriting on the back, so I cut rectangles a little larger than the photos with about an extra half inch at the top. I made a crease at the half inch mark, then centered the oval cutter over the rest of the rectangle and cut a window. Then I taped the photo to the back of the frame, so the main part of the picture shows through. I glued the half-inch strip down on my page, making it a flap that I can lift to see what is written in the back. I wrote each person’s name on the front of the frame.
I did this layout with all the pictures I had of my class. Recently, I found an envelope of pictures from the two classes ahead of me, and I’m doing a layout with those now.
I have a bunch of the tiny photos we traded before senior year that also have writing on the back. I don’t know that I will go to so much trouble for those. I’m thinking of putting four of them together and taking a picture of the backs, then cutting those out and adhering them beside the actual photo. I could have done that with the senior pictures, but since I already started with the frames.....

I use my Coluzzle for ovals - I have a set of scalloped oval dies, and the Coluzzle makes ovals that sit nicely inside the scallops.
I have a wonderful set of circle dies, so I don't think I would use a circle cutter - tho I will pull out the Coluzzle for a circle if my Big Shot is not at hand (the Coluzzle sits in a convenient drawer).

I have the CM circles system and even have that extra large circle they had for a while. Honestly though I don’t use them all that often. I’m more likely to just use one of my nested circle dies. But the CM ones do come in handy when I want the different sizes. And I bought plenty of blades when the company was going through the “changes” in focus so I’m good.

I have the CM cutting tools and still use them at times. I loved the little CM photo cutter. The blade finally wore out, so I bought the next version. I never liked it. A few months ago, a friend gave me some scrapbooking stuff. Imagine how thrilled I was to find the original small CM cutter, and it’s been used very little.

I still have my CM circle and oval cutters, I also have the super large oval one...I use the circle ones fairly often, but not the ovals. Hmm maybe I should challenge myself to use them! And to find the large circle one.

I just checked and I have TWO CM circle cutters. One I bought and one I was given. If anyone wants one for the cost of shipping, just PM. I also still have the blue handled scissors. I use them all the time and I just used them last night. Now off the look on ebay for mini punchkins.
