Next layouts. sleepingbooty lol Adult camp is a camp for young adults with physical disabilities. My son used a wheelchair. My son attended the kids camp at the same location when he was younger. So much fun for him!

I just cleaned the crap out of our guest house for my in laws and even though our house is still in a shambles, I’m saying fuck it and I’m rewarding myself with some time in my scrap room. Gonna start organizing my photos.

Chinagirl828, how many month in review pages do you have left from last year? I haven't done Oct, Nov, and Dec. It doesn't sound like much but given I was up to date for all the other months last year it feels like a lot. teacherlisa are you currently posting your photos anywhere online (Flickr, Facebook, Instagram)? If we know where your photos are someone will be able to walk you through the steps to share them in the thread here.

I'm nosying in here when I should be doing something to get ready for my trip on Sunday >.< I think I'm mostly on top of things though, so I'm catching up on some work to get ready for when I get back, and I'm thinking about playing around with some digi scrap stuff. I should probably be making a list of what I'm allowed to buy in Japan, and learning how to use some functions of my dSLR properly.

Just a week, including travel time! It's a jam-packed trip - DisneySea and USJ Wizarding World of HP, and trying to find some time to revisit the places we used to visit when we lived there. My 10yo nephew is really excited. He's a quarter Japanese (he was specifically asking about that) and has never been to a place where English isn't the main language so his mind is spinning trying to imagine what it will be like. He was perplexed by how we'll get food and stuff if people there don't speak English. It should be fun seeing him take it all in!

got one 8x8 layout done...it's getting late here, not sure if I'll be able to manage another tonight but planning to scrap tomorrow while DH and DD12 are at a GS event (I got lucky this wknd - she had events today and tomorrow and DH is the charperone for both - because the themes are more in line with his interests - today's was train/stem related with CSX and tomorrow is at UF and is civil engineering) Layout is for DD12's Girl Scout album

I just finished one 12x12 layout for my daughters wedding album. Simple but been keeping that album simple so it’s all good. I will take a pic in the morning. I have a goal for 4 layouts this weekend. That’s a lot for me. . Looking forward to scrapbooking tomorrow and again Sunday afternoon.

My grandsons are spending the night and we camped out in the backyard and had a fire in the fire pit and fun night. I wasn’t sleeping in the tent with them (their grandpa was), and one is already in the House the with me - afraid of alligators he decided. We live in Florida and have a pond in the backyard. Understandable. Too be perfectly honest, I would be a little nervous too. 😉 We figured he would be the one to come in the house first. 😊

got another one done - the 8x8 pages for this album always come together pretty quickly - the photos take up so much real estate there's not much to add. Didn't have good event pics but...what can you do?

I got a two pager done, but will have to take pics tomorrow. I wanted to get my sketch posted for tomorrow but I'm having a hard time linking the sketch, so I will try again in the morning, and get caught up on the chatter and layouts that you all have posted. I'm going to call it night. I'm hoping to get some time in the morning to scrap, but if not I will have most of Sunday. I have 3 more pages I want to get done for sure. That will be a lot of pages for me lol.

Have fun those of you still scrapping.

I should probably be making a list of what I'm allowed to buy in Japan, and learning how to use some functions of my dSLR properly. Yes list things to buy in Japan! Writing utensils should be on the list. They take pens & pencils so seriously there. OMG the stationary stores were heaven. I bought so many mechanical pencils. Lol and I refurbished my ‘le pen’ collection and I bought so many markers. Sigh. Pen heaven is in Japan. Lol Enjoy yourself! Enjoy your nephew seeing everything. It’s a great way to de a place to go with a young person like that! It will be fantastic! Oh, is it time for cherry blossom Starbucks yet? I really liked the cherry blossom latte. Reminded me of a cereal we used to have when I was a kid. Yum! ( and cherry blossom kit Kats ) We just don’t have that flavor here. And the apples - as big as a kids head & so sweet. Watch out for giant birds who steal your ice cream right out of your hand. ( my visiting DD in Japan are some of the pictures I went thru this week can you tell? )

Took a long nap after work, and I’m still ready to go to sleep again at 10. I love weekends.
I added journaling and embellishments to 3 pocket page layouts from last summer. After that, either February 2019 or 2018 DC & Italy trips. We’ll see what I feel like tomorrow.

Well Saturday turned out to be very busy with exercise, skyping with my brother and niece in the UK, hairdresser and then visiting friends in the afternoon but I did manage to finish one card. Hope to get a few more done tomorrow. [/url] IMG_6704-1 by annieb8000, on Flickr

It is 8AM and I'm up. My SO is sleeping in a little longer but I'm back on crop duty. Got the coffee and aeroccino going for an early cappuccino, the living room window open for some fresh air (and loads of little birds chirping away in the city) and my laptop with me on the sofa.
Linda Love your 18th century sewing project! Will you be scrapping it? The girl scout album LO is really pretty. That floral pattern paper is gorgeous. Love the cross pattern with the gingham fabric for some dynamic. You always make simple look on fire.
@millefeuilles Yay for finishing your DD! Did you manage to retype the journaling you acccidentally lost last night?
justjac *starts chanting* Double points, double points, double points! Siren song, am I right?
Elsabelle So, how about that tomato red? Dare I ask?...
joyfulnana I hope you'll be full of scrappy energy after your long Friday and, hopefully, evening of rest! Gold star sticker for you for doing a two-pager after such a long day, by the way.
AussieMeg Welcome aboard! Make yourself at home and jump in on the fun. So jealous of your 27°C. I wish we had that here. Alas, only 13°C (55°F) at 8 in the morning, probably around 20-22 (68-71°F) in the afternoon. Can't wait for winter to end here!
oaksong Power naps after work are such a dangerous thing... Before you know, you've slept too long and woken up around 10PM, wondering what's going on, why it's dark outside, what day it is, what time it is, major confusion all around.
quietgirl Good luck with WITL! It's always hard to finish up such projects months later but you'll feel great and like a weight's been lifted off your scrappy shoulders once it's done.
angel97701 Congrats to your son's team for winning the State Championship! Will you be doing some wrestling pages this weekend?
Chinagirl828 Month/year in review pages are so the rage the right now. Did you see Liz Tamanaha's digital "In Review" goodies that were released in December 2018?
teacherlisa So glad you're feeling better enough to jump in on the fun. You can scrap whatever you want! The daily themes are just there as prompts for anyone wanting to play along or in need of inspiration.
LisaDV Oh, you managed to squeeze in your little "selfish" weekend on your home after all? Yay for you! Quiet time, familiar surroundings and ALL your scrappy goods: HEAVEN. Katy's birthday LO is such a lovely and dynamic page! Love all the energy coming from those star clusters that look like they're bursting open. That ikat heart pattern paper is so fresh and pretty. I really like the overlapping angled photos with the cool-toned kraft matting. So young, vibrant yet classy. Great job!
marie Woops, sorry about this gal's mind wandering to places it shouldn't go (like the gutter). Adult camp sounds like a wonderful initiative and all the more important for people who can't easily access the great outdoors whenever they want. We take such things for granted. Love your use of a softer, muted colour palette for your son's camp photos. They let the pictures shine and take the centre stage. That large central mat in the '2011 Hike' LO is so well done and a neat little trick to combine vertical + horizontal photos with just enough space for the title and to anchor them together. Glad to hear you found a way to share your photos, by the way.
kitbop You're a better person than I am. I'm absolutely not the kind of person who'd go to the gym on a Friday evening. Love the vertical lines running through 'Flower Girls' to break up the different zones of your LO and create contrast. As always, your tucking in skills are on fire! May I ask what the alpha Thickers are that you used to spell out "Stratford"? They are such a pretty shade of soft blush.
pancakes "F*ck it" after doing what I feel is enough is pretty much my life philosophy. *high five* How did the scrap time go?
joblackford So excited for you! I love Japan. One of my best friends lives in Tokyo (and in a house of his own, nevertheless, the lucky bastard). Glad to see you've settled on DisneySea which I think is the way to go for foreigners visiting the country (Tokyo Disneyland feels like it's more for Japanese people wanting the typical Disney park experience). Don't forget the lottery system for shows (which I totally did, ahem).
msliz Chocolate cake? Did someone say chocolate cake?
justlisa7 Hey, 4 LOs is a great goal, nothing to feel "bad" about. Also, nope, I would so not be staying outside in a tent in Florida. I am not alligator-prepared.
hop2 Yay for getting back into scrapbooking this weekend (and getting a package of goodies)!
anniefb UGH, guuuurl, look at that stinkin' cute card! *grabs at laptop screen*
Well, looks like it took me 40 minutes to get through all the comments, look at everyone's creations and reply. Alright, time for some scrappy play for me.

sleepingbooty I saw those. I've long loved Liz's style and have several of her older releases in my digi stash. I've been trying not to buy as many digi things lately, just adding them to ever increasing wish lists. I've been doing month in review pages every year since 2009, except for one year where I was so behind I decided not to and regretted it. I've had a couple of years where I've done the weekly approach but my pattern seems to be to do those once every four years, I honestly don't know how others can do it every year without getting burned out. I've printed all my photos for Oct and most are in page protectors so I'll have Oct finished tonight.
