Linda, love the mix of pattern and strong design on the CSA lock-in outdoor art and voice for animal pages. And great paper choice for citizenship day. I'd love to have been there for the Women in Aviation outing. What's Bridging? joyfulnana, I can't wait to use your Sketch. Your take on it is fantastic. DD & I just watched Iron Man 1 and Avengers 1 this week. Your SG layout above is beautiful. I always crave cookie dough when I'm sick so I think cookies for dgs is a good idea. I hope you are not getting it. gmcwife1, what do you mean by too big (for your layout)? anniefb, those bunnies are so adorable!! justlisa7, did the other boys make it all night? If there is a chance of gators, I'd be inside. Of course, it's what you're use to as well. When we first bought and started coming to the farm on weekends, we'd have a little fire. The kids were always ready to go in at the first coyote howl. Now, not so much. They did stop walking the dogs by the woods when the bear snorted at them last July/August. sleepingbooty, your January 1st layout is so lovely with those tight clusters with lots of white space. The pics are fab. It amazes me how much green you have on January 1st. And flowers. We have a layer of white and pine trees here. Your Iftar page is stunning. That pattern is beautiful. I'm sure your friends will love it. KelleeM, Love your new avatar! You should definitely have a whole week, not just a weekend for birthday celebrating. I hope you are not getting sick. DS & I had that really bad cold. It felt and acted very much like the flu. DD is still getting over it. DS calls her "the Petri dish". Things incubate in her a while before she fully succumbs and then she takes forever to get over it. I hope your dd and dgd will recover quickly. angel97701, cinnamon rolls? You are ambitious! especially for a scrappy weekend. grammadee, hope you are getting caffeinated and ready to scrap and that you can get away from DH who may feel neglected with you being gone so long. My dh was okay with leaving me behind because he was taking the kids and the animals. He's been so lonely the last couple of weeks in the big new house without anyone around. I could hear the happiness in his voice last night. It's already 10:30 here. I'm starting slow. I have a one thing that need to get done today that will take maybe a half hour and the rest of the day is all mine. I hope to get several pages complete. Off to work on some.

KelleeM Oh no, so many sick people at home! I hope you don't get sick yourself and everyone heels up real soon. Happy birthday weekend! Stretch the celebration as long out as you can, I say.
kitbop I'm sorry you have a sympathy card to make. Those are always difficult to put together. Hope you can hop in here after dinner!
pancakes We didn't settle on a hashtag, you didn't miss it. I'm going to ask the croppers if they want one, good idea!
Linda Love the idea of a women in aviation LO! The blue mats with white background make it all look breezy and airy, perfect!
joyfulnana COOKIES! Yay, you can set some aside for when you return to your scrappy fun. I hope your grandson soon feels better. Being sick is no fun. Your 'Family' LO made me laugh with the silly face photo! Love the vertical and horizontal line play. Such fun house embellishments too!
angel97701 Oh no, stay warm and safe inside! Are you in the bomb cyclone path?
grammadee Daily themes coming up in a few minutes! Oops, running a little late.

Elsabelle So, how about that tomato red? Dare I ask?... I fought with the tomato red off and on all day yesterday. I didn't think it was funny until I read your question. I may have possibly slightly been taking the tomato red a little too seriousy??? Love your hiking pictures. Beautiful view! Linda, I love doing 8x8 layouts. They come together so quickly for me and I almost always love how they turn out. justlisa7, a backyard campout sounds so fun! I probably wouldn't sleep, though. I have a hard enough time tent camping in bear country. I know I couldn't handle the possibility of a gator. In my neck of the woods all we'd have to worry about would be an overly confident raccoon or two. It's on the summer bucket list. I've been catching up on the thread with my tea and biscotti and I'm about to get back to scrapping. I really need to accomplish more than one layout today. I can't have another day like yesterday so I won't use any supplies that I don't love. These are Disney pictures. They should be fun!

It will be a month or two before any backyard camp outs could happen around here, justlisa7. Still a couple of feet of snow in the yard. But, thankfully, no alligators! Ha ha, LisaDV , my dh is pretty slow moving, so not hard to "get away from", but he does need a lot of extra conversation after I have been away for awhile, and even when I was "home" this week I was gone to physio two days and to Lloyd to register for the May crop on another. Here are the pages I put the final touches on this morning. I had been cutting pieces and stacking them with photos on top of the backgrounds. Had glued some yesterday, but finished them off this morning. The second one meets yesterday's "giving" prompt I think with the gift wrapping and sharing photos and the stacked gift diecut. Friday the 15th: Crop Day 2
Not sure what to make? How about trying your hand at one of our daily themes? Today, we'll be concentrating on: 1. ME, MYSELF & I | You know what scrapbookers are usually not so great at? Documenting themselves! So, today, let's make a page about who we are. Document a selfie, your current favourites, an old photo of yourself, etc. Give yourself the time to focus on the documenter for once. It's not the most comfortable thing for some of us to do but it's worth it (because you're worth it, as the great French philosopher L'Oréal once said). 2. Some UNFINISHED BUSINESS | Got an old project lying around that you haven't finished yet? How about making one more LO/page to move it along? Maybe you have a December Daily or Project Life album that is only half-done. Maybe an old holiday or theme park album. Whatever it is, use today to do something about it. 3. The MOSAIC | The third and final theme for the day is the one of the multi-faceted. Challenge yourself to do something that requires assembling smaller pieces. Maybe a project with loads of details? Plenty of smaller photos? A puzzle of tiny squares of paper or strips of different washi? Let your imagination and creativity guide you! Tip of the day: create the illusion by using what you have. We often yearn for new pretty papers and embellishments while our mixed media, inks, stencils, paint brushes, watercolours and other art goodies stay in the bins. But there is so much you can do with a simple piece of cardstock, a couple of colours and anything you have lying around. Use your card stamp sets to make embellishments for your LOs. You have it all already!

Linda, love the mix of pattern and strong design on the CSA lock-in outdoor art and voice for animal pages. And great paper choice for citizenship day. I'd love to have been there for the Women in Aviation outing. What's Bridging? Thank you LisaDV - bridging is the ceremony when girls move from one level of Girl Scouts to another. Because Girl Scouts in the US is grade level based, they automatically move from one level to another whether they have a bridging ceremony or not (which is why the bridging layout is several layouts INTO the Cadette album - she moved up a couple of months before her ceremony). She moved from Juniors (4th-5th graders) to Cadettes (6th-8th graders). She doesn't have a troop anymore so we held her ceremony at a camporee.

LisaDV It is the blessing of living on the Mediterranean Sea border. We do have 4 true seasons here in the north of tbe Mediterranean region but it very rarely snows (we had a couple of hours of very light snow twice last year ). The apricot and almond trees are already done blossoming for the year. Cherry blossom coming up next! Are you getting some scrappy play in? Must be fun to have the house to yourself... You can unleash your inner Mrs. Doubtfire!
.
Elsabelle Sounds like that tomato red made you... tomato red in the face. Ok, ok, I'll let myself out! If the tomato red doesn't want to cooperate, you just sack it, I say. Buh-bye, adios, relegated to the kitchen cupboard for the ketchup bottle. Bring on the Disney fuuuun!
grammadee Look at you getting back into the scrappy mindset like you never even left. Wow, two double LOs, I'm impressed. 'Wearin' O' The Green' is so fun and whimsical. I love the zig-zag disposition (is that an acceptable term in the technical scrap language? ) of the big embellishments to help the eye travel through the project and the story. The stairs photo "leading to" the rainbow is genius, by the way. I see what you did there! Now where's the pot o' gold? The colour burst paper with all the stars is just perfect for a blowing-out-the-candles photo. The "burned" edge to the mat paper with the candles is such a witty little touch. I love how you told the story with all the photos on the left side: all the details of the birthday party are there all the way down to gifts being wrapped. The little purple banner is adorable.
Linda Your daughters are so lucky their mother is documenting all these important events. They'll be so grateful when they grow older and get to flip through all these beautifully scrapped memories. I love the mirrored disposition for 'Voice for Animals', by the way. It was a smart decision to show both sides of the event: the fun with the pooches and the more theoretical learning.

I have finished breakfast and I am enjoying my coffee. I am not a morning person so I’ll be happy to get to my scraproom by 10:00 am.
Love everyone’s layouts. I may have to figure out how to post photos.
I am really enjoying this, knowing there so many others all over that are crafting.

LisaDV - they stayed out the whole night, Emmett and I slept sound in my bed. Though I did get up and check on the tent a few times during the night to make sure all was well. This morning, while were picking up outside, the gator was way down on the other side of the pond sunbathing on the bank. I am very afraid of gators. My youngest grandson is not so much or my husband and daughters - after 23 years in Florida, I am still not taking any chances. We have camped in lots of places - Alaska with bears and I was very afraid there. I would be afraid of coyotes too - and walking near woods. I don’t blame your kids, lol. Though I am sure they get used to it. I am basically a wimp. Lol On another note, my youngest daughter and husband went bear hunting in Alaska in 2017 with my brother, and she got a bear. A big one. I prayed all night - I was so scared for them.

grammadee, all the layouts are wonderful, but I'm seriously in love with the rainbow sunburst background paper. It's so vibrant and fun. Linda, thanks for the explanation, obviously, I wasn't a girl scout. sleepingbooty, lol. I ended up forgoing the ice cream and hot fudge sauce last night and had it for breakfast today instead, does that count? wallyagain, It's already noon here and I haven't started a thing yet. I'm about to start though. justlisa7, those boys are brave to stay out all night. I'm a wimp too. My dh keeps putting in for a bear permit but hasn't gotten one yet. He'd be jealous of your dd's bear.

I am here peas. I am not caught up on this thread very well but I am participating as much as I can today. I'm working on my 2017 DD album. I've been reworking some layouts, condensed others and need to finish up my journaling before I call it done. Thanks again sleepingbooty for this fun time. Without getting emotional and ridiculous, I need this. ♥ (Sorry if this photo turns out big.)

Back to scrapbooking - house is cleaned up, laundry is getting done slowly and camping stuff is all put away, and grandsons are home . I also made two spinach, onion and tomatoe quiche with lots of sharp cheddar cheese - hoping it turns out good. They are in the oven making now. Adding a few things to last nights layout and then will take a pic and on to the next one. My house is quiet and I may watch some, “Hart of Dixie”, which is a favorite fun series of mine.

It is 8AM and I'm up. My SO is sleeping in a little longer but I'm back on crop duty. Got the coffee and aeroccino going for an early cappuccino, the living room window open for some fresh air (and loads of little birds chirping away in the city) and my laptop with me on the sofa.
Linda Love your 18th century sewing project! Will you be scrapping it? The girl scout album LO is really pretty. That floral pattern paper is gorgeous. Love the cross pattern with the gingham fabric for some dynamic. You always make simple look on fire.
@millefeuilles Yay for finishing your DD! Did you manage to retype the journaling you acccidentally lost last night?
justjac *starts chanting* Double points, double points, double points! Siren song, am I right?
Elsabelle So, how about that tomato red? Dare I ask?...
joyfulnana I hope you'll be full of scrappy energy after your long Friday and, hopefully, evening of rest! Gold star sticker for you for doing a two-pager after such a long day, by the way.
AussieMeg Welcome aboard! Make yourself at home and jump in on the fun. So jealous of your 27°C. I wish we had that here. Alas, only 13°C (55°F) at 8 in the morning, probably around 20-22 (68-71°F) in the afternoon. Can't wait for winter to end here!
oaksong Power naps after work are such a dangerous thing... Before you know, you've slept too long and woken up around 10PM, wondering what's going on, why it's dark outside, what day it is, what time it is, major confusion all around.
quietgirl Good luck with WITL! It's always hard to finish up such projects months later but you'll feel great and like a weight's been lifted off your scrappy shoulders once it's done.
angel97701 Congrats to your son's team for winning the State Championship! Will you be doing some wrestling pages this weekend?
Chinagirl828 Month/year in review pages are so the rage the right now. Did you see Liz Tamanaha's digital "In Review" goodies that were released in December 2018?
teacherlisa So glad you're feeling better enough to jump in on the fun. You can scrap whatever you want! The daily themes are just there as prompts for anyone wanting to play along or in need of inspiration.
LisaDV Oh, you managed to squeeze in your little "selfish" weekend on your home after all? Yay for you! Quiet time, familiar surroundings and ALL your scrappy goods: HEAVEN. Katy's birthday LO is such a lovely and dynamic page! Love all the energy coming from those star clusters that look like they're bursting open. That ikat heart pattern paper is so fresh and pretty. I really like the overlapping angled photos with the cool-toned kraft matting. So young, vibrant yet classy. Great job!
marie Woops, sorry about this gal's mind wandering to places it shouldn't go (like the gutter). Adult camp sounds like a wonderful initiative and all the more important for people who can't easily access the great outdoors whenever they want. We take such things for granted. Love your use of a softer, muted colour palette for your son's camp photos. They let the pictures shine and take the centre stage. That large central mat in the '2011 Hike' LO is so well done and a neat little trick to combine vertical + horizontal photos with just enough space for the title and to anchor them together. Glad to hear you found a way to share your photos, by the way.
kitbop You're a better person than I am. I'm absolutely not the kind of person who'd go to the gym on a Friday evening. Love the vertical lines running through 'Flower Girls' to break up the different zones of your LO and create contrast. As always, your tucking in skills are on fire! May I ask what the alpha Thickers are that you used to spell out "Stratford"? They are such a pretty shade of soft blush.
pancakes "F*ck it" after doing what I feel is enough is pretty much my life philosophy. *high five* How did the scrap time go?
joblackford So excited for you! I love Japan. One of my best friends lives in Tokyo (and in a house of his own, nevertheless, the lucky bastard). Glad to see you've settled on DisneySea which I think is the way to go for foreigners visiting the country (Tokyo Disneyland feels like it's more for Japanese people wanting the typical Disney park experience). Don't forget the lottery system for shows (which I totally did, ahem).
msliz Chocolate cake? Did someone say chocolate cake?
justlisa7 Hey, 4 LOs is a great goal, nothing to feel "bad" about. Also, nope, I would so not be staying outside in a tent in Florida. I am not alligator-prepared.
hop2 Yay for getting back into scrapbooking this weekend (and getting a package of goodies)!
anniefb UGH, guuuurl, look at that stinkin' cute card! *grabs at laptop screen*
Well, looks like it took me 40 minutes to get through all the comments, look at everyone's creations and reply. Alright, time for some scrappy play for me.
I just want to say thank you for being so supportive and encouraging all of us. You take the time to acknowledge everyone, and I notice, and appreciate that.

I think Mon and Tues are done. All the documentation and photos are all together with some supplies (I didn't buy the kit last year, I hated the embellishments. But I bought the cards when they were available separate from the kit for some sale.) How far along are you, @millefeuilles ? eta... I'm sorry... I see now. You are almost finished. Don't apologize quietgirl ! I finished my DD 2015 yesterday, but I still have my WITL to do! Let's cheer each other up! (I was not inspired by last year's kit either. Too dark for me.) ETA: I used to work chronogically on WITL but last year I printed in batches and slipped memorabilia into pocket pages. Now I'm lost as to what to do first, so that could take some time! I always work chronologically (at least with PL and projects like WITL). If I want to make a layout, I do whatever i want. Maybe I should switch it up, do it like you. Photos in pockets first. I do it photo by photo, story by story. Literally one page protector at a time. Maybe if I do it differently I'll be more inspired to finish. Good luck with your projects! (And I love Marvin Gaye (and Al Green) too!)

Love all the energy here today! sleepingbooty, your Iftar page is beautiful with that mosaic background--actually meets TWO days of prompts. Your friend's parents will love it when it is completed with just the right photo. teacherlisa, I see two days' worth of prompts in YOUR page, too, with that multiphoton page, all lined up on a slant. Looks pretty mosaic to me! Love that page design. Might need to lift your lift! Good job, nicolep, sticking to finishing your past DD albums. And it is looking pretty! I have trouble doing that. As soon as I have new photos I am itching to move on and scrap them. Much better at starting than finishing here. And the same goes for you, msliz working on those older Disney (?) photos. Love that you used pink on this page. Good luck completing the album. Linda, this crop has seemed to have awakened the scrappy demon in you--in a GOOD way! Loving all your pages. It is so cool when the books are appreciated: I love it when my dgk's ask to see their pages. I want to do a page with photos of them looking through the albums. justlisa7, your wedding page is beautiful. Love the gold, the bits of lace and foliage, that stacked piece bottom centre. And, of course, the lovely photos. Being a starter, I have 4 more pages on the go, here, but don't think I will get them done today. Three have the photos and papers glued down. Need to add title and journaling and the finishing touches. Dragging a bit here, and I really need to get something else done in this house today. And do my physio homework...
