Oh teddyw I am so sad your cruise is not a bit of paradise for you. In the big picture there’s worse things. Yes but vacation is supposed to be a treat. I did one vacation with friends that was an absolute misery. I was so mad that I had sunk time and money into something that ended up being not a lot of fun.

Hugs! jeremysgirl hugs....I hope your DD and you feel less sad soon. KelleeM hugs! Happy Arca Race Saturday Everybody!

DS is coming home for my nephews birthday party tomorrow so I’ll stop somewhere on the way back from picking him up.

DSO was asked to make his world famous (well, this little corner of the world famous ) pulled pork for the cricket team after Sunday's match. I stole some of the sauce to marinate some chicken thighs, and we had that with mashed potato. And meanwhile, the slab of pork belly still sits in my fridge. I had planned to make if for Sunday dinner when everyone was finally going to be home, but DSO doesn't want pork for dinner after eating pork for lunch. Come hell or high water I WILL be cooking it on Tuesday night. ETA: I don't play on my phone or any other device when I'm watching TV. It bugs the absolute crap out of me when DD and I are watching something and she sits there the whole time looking at her phone. I admit that sometimes I pretend that she's missed something huge - I laugh uproariously or gasp horrifiededly (yeah, I know that's not a word ) to make her look up, then I don't tell her what happened. It's even worse when she's on her MacBook. Those things have the loudest keyboards - so distracting!

My mother liked chicken and rice and plain salad. No dressing. We are that weird.

Tonight we are ordering take out from a Mexican place down the road. I cooked last night and I'll cook tomorrow but not today. I always enjoy everyone's dinner ideas and often am inspired by them. Thank you all.

CarefreeSadie I would love to sit in the sun for you and me but it’s rained off & on all day. On the plus side I had chocolate cake. Cake makes everything better for me.

Pizza night was an overall success.. of course the girls loved theirs. Mine was ok... an acceptable substitute for real pizza until I figure out something better. I’d try it again.

And here I am again without power. I looked at a map and this shouldn’t even affect my street. Pizza is coming.

We had so much rechauffe that our refrigerator lost 10 pounds. I likely gained it. But it was delicious and neither of us were using our phones while we watched the shows on DVR.
Thanks for the thread.

I think I was supposed to make meatloaf. Instead I made chili which was perfect after our 3 1/2 mile walk in the snow!
