I am anxiously awaiting dawnnikol s trip report. I hope they're having just the best time. Ma'am, we're back. Rolled into the house right before 9PM last night - after almost 19 hours of driving. We are all pooped and will use this week to recover, but we had a lot of fun. Thanks for all the Pixie Dust, we had a healthy trip!!! Skellinton I'm going to do another post for you because I'm not sure everyone wants the full trip report. I just definitely wanted to say "thank you" and not have it lost in my post.

Trip Report -
We drove in on November 5th at around 10:30PM and stayed at a Marriott close to Disney Springs. I have the app and it was supposed to "automatically" give us the digital room key, but it did not. DH had to run into the lobby (needed parking pass anyway) and then it "clicked", so I was able to use my phone to access our room. It's handy, but it's definitely bugged. We slept and because of Daylight Saving time ending, we never had a real "time change" coming from CST to EST.
We visited DW / Universal the end of January / early February 2020, so I'll be doing some comparisons to that time.
Disney Springs
Welp. I had researched and found multiple online sources that said you could show up before 9AM, especially for places like Gideon's Bakehouse that forms quite the line. Nobody mentioned that they have new security all around DS and the signs for parking all state "Garage Closed". We arrived at 8:20am, because we had walked around in 2020 and been able to take pictures easily without anyone else in them. Not anymore. You can park in the garage and make your way up to where security holds everyone. This was a shock to most everyone who arrived after us, because (of course) we were first there to wait for 40 minutes. The first of many waits. Hah! At 9AM, they will scan you (just like in the parks) and you can go down the escalator / elevator / stairs to DS. Anyone with their heart on Gideon's should head directly there. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200. Just go. And prepare to wait another hour for it to open and then prepare to wait even longer outside because there's limited space inside. The line for that place stayed long the entire day. I do not need a 1/2 lb cookie that bad, thank you very much. DD stood in the line for a few minutes and decided chocolate cake was not worth that drama.
We did try Everglazed Donuts and they were good. If nothing else, there are some good photo ops. Our favorite was the art building where they make your name into art or draw the caricatures, etc. DD's rode a bicycle that splattered paint onto a canvas for each other. DS had himself turned into Iron Man. DH & I had our last name turned into Villains for my Disney wall in the living room. They actually misspelled it the first time, so we had to ask for it to be redone, they had written it two different ways on the form and the girl simply overlooked it. She felt terrible.
We ended up staying in DS until after 3pm while we waited on the Dolphin to tell us our room was ready. They have a chat feature and it was not helpful. DH called to find out if our room was ready and they just kept saying "check the app, your room key will show up when your room is ready". Well, they're Marriott, so the key did not "pop up" until we had already decided to head to the hotel to wait in the lobby. Then it magically appeared while we were in line to check in. We went to our room and breathed a sigh of relief.
Finally.
6:55 every morning, DH & I were on our phones to get ready for the Lightning Lanes to drop at 7. He was logged into my account and while other people have posted that this works for them, it wasn't great. I feel like we would've gotten the same amount accomplished if just one of us had done it. You definitely need to have priorities, but I think it worked okay.
EPCOT on Monday. We had walked over the night prior to get a feel for it, so we went through The Boardwalk and over towards the International Gateway. It was around 5PM Sunday night and the line was tremendous. DH asked someone in line what was going on and apparently the Marathon Runners were supposed to get in and originally, they'd had separate lines, but then they decided to combine them and a scanner went down? I felt terrible for them. A security scanner went down on our morning entrance, but they seemed to sort it quickly.
We headed straight to Remy (we had managed to get $LL for Guardians as the virtual line filled too quickly, but it wasn't until the afternoon). We basically walked on the ride and it was fantastic. It ended up being my DS's favorite ride at Disney. We happened to be at DW during Jersey Week / Veteran's Day, so I think our crowds were hugely impacted by this. The lines for every food / drink kiosk basically filled before they even opened. Food / drinks don't open when the park opens for Early Entry, so keep that in mind and pack water / snack. Starbucks was the exception and the lines were ridiculous at every park. DH had waited every morning in 2020 for SB (we were hunting the park specific mugs) and this was way worse.
We did use our Memory Maker whenever we could. I hate the automatic photo boxes (Elsa + Anna for sure have them), but totally agree it's worth the money every trip. I have more to say about that, too. I have to go unpack and get groceries though.
ETA: I'm downloading photos from my phone and there's a thing in your Disney app called "Disney PhotoPass Lenses". It's basically filters for (mostly) selfies. Some can only be used in certain areas of certain parks, so maybe review them before you go. They were something fun to use if we were waiting in line for a ride. For some reason I'm having problems getting some of them off my phone and onto my CPU, but I don't know if that's a me thing or a Disney thing.

@dawnikkol
I am glad you all had a happy and healthy trip and are now home safe and sound! That is a bummer about Gideons, I definitely wanted to try a slice of cake and to see the inside, but not if lines are that bad. That art place sounds cool, will check that out.
Did you do mobile ordering for food? I need to research that a bit, I am not a breakfast person at all, but will make sure others have snacks in their bags. As long as I have coffee (and in room coffee is fine because I drink it while getting ready) I don’t need to eat until noon, but there is a short window between noon and hangry, so I want to make sure we have lunch by then!
Can’t wait to hear more, I am really excited about Ratatouille, I have heard really good things but have been avoiding spoilers.
In any event, I am glad you had a great time, I hope your special meal was as wonderful as you hoped!!

So glad everyone was healthy for the trip and you had a good time. I'm happy to hear more about your trip. Did you do mobile ordering for food? We used it for every meal or possible snack when we weren't at a sit-down/reservation type place. It's so easy and you don't have to wait in line. I never had a problem. We all like different foods so I would order for my husband and text him a screenshot of the number. Then I would order for me and the kid and go get our food and then he would walk to meet us. He's vegan so we just ordered him food that we knew was already vegan. You can't really make requests in the app. You have to do that at the counter. Even in Tomorrowland I was hangry and grouchy and there was no line but I didn't even feel like talking to anyone so I ordered my Mickey pretzel right there and picked it up. I ordered my fancy dole whip float thing from Sunshine Seasons. There was a line to order but I just walked right up and got mine. No wait. Not every place has mobile order but most do. You can play around with it now. I just pretended to order a dog from Casey's. I just closed out before I paid.

You can play around with it now. I just pretended to order a dog from Casey's. I just closed out before I paid. This. I went through all the menus on the mobile app before we went and jotted it down in my notebook I brought with me. We had The Chicken Guy at DS and there was a line out the door. I walked right up to the counter inside. Also, if you plan to shop, in the DW app there's a thing after you click the 3 lines in the bottom right hand. It's called "Merchandise Mobile Checkout". If you allow them to track you, it'll pull up the store you're in, otherwise you can select it. This will save you so much time. That giant Emporium store was packed to the gills and all I did was scan our purchases, put them back in our basket, show the receipt to the Mobile Checkout person stationed by the door and they'd help us bag / wrap stuff and we were gone. I did have to have my card loaded on the app ahead, so that won't work if you're adverse to that. Also if there's some place you want to eat, make note of the time they open ahead of time. In EPCOT, specifically, my kids wanted the orange chicken from the Lotus Blossom Cafe. It did not open until noon, whereas other places were open at 11. We got there 15 minutes early, found a table, I waited in line and it was easy peasy. They were one that didn't do mobile ordering unfortunately. You can also schedule food to be ready in an available window. ie: Columbia Harbor House - I had a window selected, we got there and I clicked the "I'm here", then the food was prepared. DH was concerned it would "sit in a window". It didn't.

In any event, I am glad you had a great time, I hope your special meal was as wonderful as you hoped!! Topolino's! We did it the day we checked out of the Dolphin and swapped to Universal. Their food was excellent! It ran extra long though because the characters (4) take their time at every table, but they're on a timer, so they have to "go eat breakfast" and then come back out and start rotating tables again. Our reservation was 8:45, seated at 8:50 and didn't leave until almost 11 because we had to wait on Minnie. We all had a great time and Donald Duck was fabulous!

I swear I'm getting RL stuff done, too, but I had to rush through all of the photos (over 2K just from me, thank you very much) to edit and get our Christmas card ordered. This is the latest I've ever ordered and the sale ends tomorrow. Whew! Okay, Tuesday the 8th was our MK day. We were up and at the bridge to The Boardwalk by 6am. We were the first in line for the bus, but not by much. The bus actually arrived much earlier than they posted and by the time they dropped us off at the castle, there were already lines at all the turnstiles. QUICK TIP! In 2020, the bus/skyliner all ran way behind for rope dropping folks. Every day we arrived for Rope Drop, the Skyliner and bus were already ahead of us. I'm not sure what time, specifically, but that Skyliner had the jump on us and we are early, early birds. Anyway, we were probably 5th in line. They let us in before the actual "Early Entry" time and we booked it down Main Street. I was going to stop at the castle for photos, but it was roped off for wedding pics. So, we headed straight to Tomorrowland. Our plan was to Space Mountain, Buzz, Speedway, Dumbo before heading over to Splash and Big Thunder. We were first at the rope, but quickly filled in. It was still 30 minutes? until actual Rope Drop when a couple of Cast Members approached my DH and son who were in front of us and asked about their shirts. We showed them all our shirts and they loved them. We were each a different Emotion from "Inside Out" and it's combined with a holiday lyric / song (link to Etsy: Sadness, my favorite.). They asked us if we'd like to be the first family let into Space Mountain? WHO SAYS "NO" TO THAT?!?! YES, PLEASE AND THANK YOU! I was so excited, I texted my Mom in all caps. She had no idea what it meant but tried to show the proper amount of enthusiasm. The CM left us and said they'd be back shortly and would lead us over. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! We got let in well before everyone else and had time to stop at a Stitch photo op where the CM graciously took my big camera and got some family pics of us, then we headed to Space Mountain to wait. CM took some more pics of us in front of Space Mountain and we waited. They let everyone else in and they did the slow walk behind the CMs, while we watched and chatted. Then we were told Space Mountain was going to be delayed. LOL!!! So, we were given free Lightning Lanes for whatever ride (minus 7DMT and Peter Pan) and they lead us to a secret entrance to Buzz. We were told we could stay on Buzz up to 3 times if we wanted and then hopefully Space Mountain would be back open if we wanted to use our LL, but they didn't want to throw off our park game. We got on Buzz and stayed a couple of times, they even gave us tips on where to shoot which I could not remember once we were in. HAH! Then we went on with the rest of our day at MK. It was wonderful.

On our MK day, I forgot to mention we had seen rain in the forecast, but since we kept getting random showers, we didn't pay it much heed. That afternoon it poured when we got off the bus, luckily I had packed ponchos. I even posted a silly selfie on my IG. A few hours later, I received 3 texts from family and friends wondering if we were being careful because of the Hurricane. Eh??? Talk about being "in the bubble". We hadn't even watched the news on our tv. Disney updated their app to have a blurb about watching the weather and they'd update us. The next day was our DHS day. It had rained overnight a little, but nothing terrible. While we were waiting to enter the park, it started back up and there was a wave of ponchos being put on. Our plan had been to do Tower of Terror and then Rock n' Roller Coaster, but due to weather they were both down. We got our LL for Smuggler's and decided we'd just hit Mickey's Runaway Railway instead. We'd done Slinky's + Rise of the Resistance in 2020 and the kids didn't care to repeat. That made it a ton easier. They opened the park before Early Entry and we made our way over. A lot of people had no idea about other closures, so we were on top of it which helped. That line gained momentum quick. We went straight to Toy Story land to catch the Alien Saucers - Toy Story Mania was down. We got lucky and scored Christmas tunes (it alternates) and then hit our Smuggler's LL easy peasy. ToT and RnR came up at the same time, but the line for ToT was already predicted to be 120 minutes (through DW and Touring Plans), so we hit RnR and held off on ToT for the day. The parks closed early that day, so we headed back before the crowds. I've seen all the sandbags in Gulf Shores from hurricanes, but it was weird to see them around Disney property. I have a photo of one of the stores at The Boardwalk with them. People were scarce and the ones we did see were stocking up on snacks for their rooms. We still had tons from our drive, so I wasn't worried. We watched the Weather Channel and played with our Snoap Wands in the room and then waited for the storm. ETA: Highly recommend the Wookie Cookie at Backlot Express (near Indiana Jones / Star Tours). DH says the Ronto Wrap was his favorite food for the entire trip. The rest of us don't eat pork or red meat, so I'll have to take his word for it.

So glad to hear it is as good as it looks!

They asked us if we'd like to be the first family let into Space Mountain? How fun! Stuff like that is just magical. DH says the Ronto Wrap was his favorite food We ordered every single vegan food in Star Wars land. We got something at Ronto Roasters that was really tasty. Compared to the other parks, HS really did a great job with the vegan food, even the blue and green frozen "milk" is vegan. @skellington, if you need ideas for veggie food, we use two sites: Vegan Disney WorldVegan Disney FoodMy daughter and I are vegetarian. We really like the caprese pizza at Pinocchio's. We split one and it's enough (we like snacking throughout the day). The tots at Friar's Nook are so good. We don't like the fake sausage so we don't eat that. The brats and the dogs in Magic Kingdom are the fake sausage. There is a baked brie sandwich at Les Halles in the back of France in Epcot that I LOVED. It had apples on it. We also love the Rose and Crown for vegan fish and chips (but I think I remember you had your meals at Epcot sorted already).

I will check out that site though. I actually just had my phone consult about my allergies, they are so weird they decided to call me to clarify. Most places I think I have sorted out things I can have, but at Space 220 and Skippers Canteen there is nothing without them making some mods for me, so I hope it isn’t too much hassle. At Skippers they can just hopefully leave the pork off the noodles. At Space 220 the only thing that looks safe is the kids salmon, I hope they will just give me that since the grown up salmon has edamame. I decided to do one of the Fireworks Dessert things, hopefully we enjoy that as well. I can’t believe in 2 weeks from right now I will be at EPCOT. Probably eating the 50th pyramid dessert thing at San Angel!

I’m not sure what your allergies are, but DH can’t have salt, and he’s diabetic, too. They were able to figure out something. The counter service restaurants had more issues, but the sit down restaurants bent over backwards to help us figure out what he could eat, and what I could eat, and sometimes they came up with something unique just for DH. I have food sensitivities, and they did try to accommodate me, too. Our biggest challenge was Hollywood Studios, especially in Galaxy’s Edge. Ronto Wraps weren’t an option, but most places were flexible and accommodating.

Ronto Wraps weren’t an option, but most places were flexible and accommodating. Mine actual allergies are tree nuts, soy (soy sauce is fine, but tofu, bean sprouts and edamame are not) and pretty much all fruit except citrus, melon and grapes. So no berries, no pomegranate, no apples, no peaches, no pineapple, no kiwi, etc etc. Apples are in most of the fake meats so that rules them out which makes it difficult since I won't eat beef or any pig stuff. The fruit is the most difficult for breakfast and desserts, especially since many restaurants won't list garnishes on the menu and so many desserts come with some sort of berry decor. I feel like a jerk, but I have to be clear every single time I order a dessert I have to clarify that it won't be garnished with a berry of some sort. Same with breakfast plates, lots of strawberries end up as decor. I am glad they were so accommodating for you, fortunately I love a chicken strip and I am not above ordering a kid's quick service meal. And since I am on vacation I might just eat a cupcake or ice cream sundae for lunch a few days!

Which places did you think had the best foods for you guys? Like you, I won't turn down a chicken strip from the kid's menu. EPCOT's Lotus Blossom Cafe and that Orange Chicken were a fav at EPCOT. The combo came with orange chicken, plain white rice, and then some veg that had zucchini, squash, and green beans in it. DHS had a teriyaki chicken plate we got at Backlot Express that came in Vegan with tofu, but it has edamame in it with the veg. I know you Rope Drop & Close the parks, but if you find yourself with spare time (hah!), my favorite food was at The Boardwalk. You can Skyliner to the International Gateway entrance and then Friendship Boat to the Boardwalk pier or you can walk, but I know you have your friends with you. There, I had a QS cheese pizza. It was huge. But, my absolute favorite was the Roasted Chicken Sandwich from the Boardwalk Deli and then there's another stand right across called "The To-Go Cart" and they had Garlic Parmesan fries. Good God. I'm not big on cheese, but I love garlic. DD & I split them and a sandwich, and we still could not finish the fries. My other 2 kids aren't fans of garlic, so they just ate the regular ones. DH tried the Carne Asada Fries and loved them. Just that alone was almost too much for him and he usually finishes all of his meal and then ours. My highlight at AK was the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse from Pandora. The kids had the chocolate version, but I didn't waste precious belly space to try it. ^.^ I can't have a lot of dairy, but I cleared the day for that. Again, I can't say it enough to play in the DW app with ordering as if you're in the park. If you just click the restaurant in the app and then "menu", it won't show what they currently have. This was definitely the case with my beloved turkey sandwich at Woody's in DHS. OH! The Vegan Tots from there! I don't know what's in the chili, so you'll have to double check for your allergies, but if you can eat it. Man, it was good. I don't like the taste of meat, so while I can eat some of the "Impossible" stuff, I don't always like it. This was not that at all. Even my carnivore DH enjoyed them. The kids had the seasonal Hot Cocoa Pop Tart things.

Back to my daily trip report:
November 10th I was awake by my usual 3:30/4am and the parks were already updating with late opening times. I knew from watching when Hurricane Ian had hit that it was possible the parks would be closed altogether. Luckily, we had a couple of extra days to move around if necessary. We had AK planned for that day though and decided with our list, we could do it. You could definitely tell when parks started opening, because the lobby / outside were empty and then BOOM! Lightning Lane selection was still 7am, so we got Avatar for DS, and used the other for meeting Mickey & Minnie. I was not pleased they yanked 50th Anniversary Minnie from MK a couple weeks before we arrived.
No real damage around the grounds or parks, other than a lot of natural debris.
AK was set to open at 1pm. We figured we could catch a bus at 12pm, when we got there at 11:30, the stop was packed with MK peeps for the noon opening. They were late, IMO, but not my problem. They cleared out and we expected to wait a bit, but AK bus came within 15 minutes. It was packed. Standing room only. I remember holding onto my big camera so it wouldn't smack some person sitting in the face and my arm going numb from clinging to the bar above me. The kids and DH had all gotten better positions to hold onto, so there was that.
When we arrived, there was already a winding line back through the self parking lot and it started to rain. The wind was already crazy gusting, but I tossed on my poncho to protect my camera and the line moved fairly quickly inside when they let us in to go stand at the turnstiles. DD was walking by a palm tree and something gave or gusted because a small piece of dirty tree landed on her ponytail and Loungefly. She was just stunned that of all the people walking by she was the only one nailed. The women behind her had seen it happen and were very concerned and startled for her. I brushed her off and we continued in. She laughed about it later again.
They let us in before 12pm, but Flight of Passage was down. We headed straight to Mickey and Minnie and got there a few minutes before the LL. We got in and out, easy peasy. Next was Kali River Rapids (DH's choice and he put on a poncho) since last time we'd been it was being refurbished. Youngest DD took the worst of the water, but on and off quickly. Stopped for the PhotoPass Photographer at one of the views of Everest and then hopped on there. We stopped and did lots of photo ops since AK is filled with them. A lot more PhotoPass Photographers were out than we'd been seeing in the parks, so that was nice. Apparently our Tree of Life photographer had already been yelled at twice that day and the park hadn't even been open 90 minutes! Who does that!?
Flight of Passage ended up opening right as we hit Pandora which worked out nicely for timing our $LL.
An unexpected highlight of the day was The Animation Experience at Conservation Station. DH even tried to skip out by sitting with us, but not grabbing paper and pencil. The CMs noticed and then brought him some while giving him some flack for trying to skip it. We drew Nick Wilde and had a great time. The teacher doesn't just say "here, draw this circle", there's all sorts of facts and tidbits thrown in. Highly, highly recommend.

Bob Iger is officially back as Disney's CEO under a two year deal to hopefully make things better again. Goodbye Chapek, you did not make the best decisions. And man, the Disney Instagram accounts have had me snort laughing. No one is sad to see this news. Even Josh Gad was celebrating.

Back to my daily trip report: I am loving these. Keep 'em coming. I still don't know what parks I want to visit when I'm there in April. Definitely MK because of the parade. Then HS and another park are doing some sort of late night thing where you enter around 3 or 4 and everyone else has to be out by 7. Sounds like the xmas party without the xmas party stuff. I think that's a great idea for HS since I've been once first thing in the morning and we didn't go back at night. I want to see Fantasmic and star wars at night.

dawnnikol II am totally going to make my mom do the Animation Station with me. I am not super artistic, but can follow directed draws pretty well. My mom cannot draw at all. We used to argue over who had to take her when we played Pictionary. The woman is so talented in many ways, but her drawing skills are non existent. My favorite was when she was trying to draw a car. Imagine an egg with four circles hovering around it. It looked more like a headless baby then a car. She is so going to do this and I cannot wait!! Do you carry your camera a la carte, or do you have a bag for it? I love my camera bag, but it is a sling and I realize carrying it around all day is going to cover up my amazing shirts. Just curious what you did. Can’t wait to read the next installment!

DH is still watching Disney vacation tip videos, even though we are home and no longer planning a Disney trip now. Molly with the Mammoth Club had a list on one of her videos. She’d found some postings online about how “Disney Adults are the worst!” So she set out with her list to see just how horrible it is to be a Disney Adult. Apparently, this qualifies you as a Disney Adult, based on her Disney Adult Cringe List:
1. Cry at Disney things.
2. Wear Minnie Ears.
3. Wear character clothes.
4. Go to a character breakfast without kids.
5. Take a bunch of castle selfies.
6. Buy an expensive limited time collectible.
7. Wait a long time for an overpriced dessert.
8. Buy Disney merchadise.
So…. Just curious. Do you qualify? And why in the world would any or all of that make Disney adults “the worst?” I didn’t get to hear that part of the video, but seriously, what is wrong with being a Disney adult? (One of the perks of being an older Disney fan is that you don’t have to care about other people’s opinions.)
I probably qualify, although I don’t cry at Disney things. DH and I both wore the ears (those ears hurt!) and Mickey/Minnie bounding outfits for a photoshoot. We did a character dinner at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom without kids. (Loved it!) We got lots of photos of DH and me in front of the castle, thanks to all the Disney photographers there. Yes, we did buy an expensive limited time collectible (50th Anniversary of Epcot ornament). We also bought a couple of pricey desserts, but we never had to wait long. And yes, we have lots of fun Disney merchandise some of which we bought there, some at the Disney store closer to home, some online.
I’d probably add a few other possibilities for that list:
9. Has a pin collection.
10. Has a Disney Christmas tree.
11. Wears Disney socks.
12. Bought a baby Ewok outfit for the coming grandbaby.
Any other suggestions for the list? I think I may include a scrapbook page about this at the end of our Disney album.

Imagine an egg with four circles hovering around it. It looked more like a headless baby then a car. If your Mom is hesitant, tell her the sheet of paper they provide has some guidelines on it. DH was worried because he didn't have an eraser. Just go with it! They're currently flattening from being rolled for the drive home, but they are phenomenal and not because we are super artistic. I believe blemon had posted before about doing the drawings and wasn't sure how to display them. I'm going to photograph them and then include that in my album. I'm not sure what I'll do with the originals, other than the one my DD did and has claimed for her bedroom. Do you carry your camera a la carte, or do you have a bag for it? I love my camera bag, but it is a sling and I realize carrying it around all day is going to cover up my amazing shirts. Just curious what you did. So, back over 13 years ago when I first got my dSLR, I bought one of those gorgeous fake leather camera bags that all the Mom-arazzi had. It's turquoise and lime green inside and has lots of pockets. Unfortunately, it was never good for carrying. At least not when I was already carrying my camera, the baby, and diaper bag. That bag has basically sat in my closet holding my other camera lenses or extra batteries and the turquoise decided to start flaking off about a year ago, so I guess it's a good thing it didn't get any heavy use. Anyway. I do not have a camera bag and as much as I'd like to try one of those sling type things, they're always just black. I need color. It's bad enough my dSLR is black. Although, I do have a colorful strap for it, so there's that. I keep it long enough to where I can walk with it on my hip and shoulder for quick shooting or, if I'm Rope Dropping, I can reach behind my back with my left hand to hold it against my body and still have my right arm free to hold a child's hand. There were very, very few other people in any park while we were there that had a camera that was not a phone. That's not shocking, but I do notice when someone has a "real" camera. Also, I actually have a special water bag for my camera that I usually bring to the beach, but I forgot it, so I just kept it under the bottom of my shirt or the poncho. Dear God, those ponchos can get hot though. I hope you don't deal with much rain though.

I have cried at Disney "things", one that I haven't gotten to in my trip report. 2. I don't wear Minnie ears because they hurt my head. 3. I do wear character clothes and even went to so far as to request shirts for our trip almost a year in advance and then didn't wear them until the trip so each day would be new. 5. I prefer the purple wall to castle selfies, but I do like to shoot the different angles and stuff of the castle. 9. We have a pin collection on a corkboard AND my daily purse has my very favorite pins. 10. I have had a Disney Christmas tree since our honeymoon at Disneyland in 2007. And why in the world would any or all of that make Disney adults “the worst?” I didn’t get to hear that part of the video, but seriously, what is wrong with being a Disney adult? I remember there being a "thing" about some lady screaming at Disney about single people / Millennials without kids shouldn't be at Disney parks and taking up space from the "families". I think people just have to ruin other people's joy sometimes. I have loved Disney since I was a little girl and I'm sure I'll love it until I die. Oh, I think having any Disney home decor could be added to the list!

We're winding down the Disney portion of our trip now. After AK, we only had 2 more park days and then our check out day. Friday, November 11 we were back at DHS, not because I had yet to ride ToT, but because when trying to schedule my husband's Savi's appointment, the site glitched and the chat person was only able to get me this date and not the 9th that I originally had. It turned out fine though! A day in a Disney park is still a day in Disney! We walked from our hotel again, but were beat by the Skyliner and bus peeps! I swear we are early birds, but not early enough. We specifically waited to walk until our LL was booked, so clearly we should've been walking and scheduling. We booked Smuggler's again since we weren't sure if ToT (et al) would be open this time. Our plan was to Rope Drop ToT + RnR and then wing it, other than our LL because DH had given my girls so much crap for their lack of flying skills, they were ready to redeem themselves. Or crash hard. Either way! It was super humid for even FL that morning. Definitely pop your lens cap off as soon as you exit the hotel so it can fog up and clear for when you want to take photos. I've got some good ones with the cap fogged up though. Between it being a holiday and 3 day weekend, it was packed, but we were about even for where we had been a couple mornings prior. Not too bad for line location. Although, please for the love of God, don't bring bacon and stand in line. UGH. I understand people need to eat and want to get in line, but bacon? Ick. Sorry. They let us in before early entry (obviously a trend, confirmed by Disboards), but this time ToT and RnR were open!!! They don't let you into the ride queues, so the lines seem a lot longer than they actually are. When we joined the ToT line, we were across from Rosie's Diner-ish. As soon as they opened the ride (not that long), we basically walked on. This would be the first time all 5 of us would ride ToT. In 2020, my son did the library with the movie and bailed with DH. The last time DH rode ToT was on our honeymoon at DL in 2007 and he did NOT do well. They both did just fine. Spoiler alert: We ended up getting like 7 drops. So, they did really well. When I wanted to go back on later, DS was the only one who joined me! Just us 3 girls went straight onto RnR while the boys waited in line for Toy Story Mania. We actually got out of RnR, walked to Toy Story Land, used the restroom and still had time for photo ops before they were out. We hopped straight onto Alien Saucers (Christmas tune again) and then went to our Smuggler's LL. The girls did better flying, but we still crashed a lot. Honestly, this ride just isn't my favorite either. I told them they could go again but I'd stay out. They decided they'd had enough, too. We went to Woody's for a late breakfast of Vegan Totchos and the Hot Cocoa Pop-tarts (kids). So good. We walked back to the front so the kids could shop (they'd been saving since Christmas 2020) and ran into Chip + Dale in their holiday attire! They were in one of those decorative areas with the bushes that are fenced off, but you could get photos by standing nearby or they'd pose behind you for a selfie. We did both. Obviously. My kids taking selfies is still a source of amusement for me. DH's appointment wasn't until after 1pm, so we went back to the room to drop off bags and then hit the pizza window at the BoardWalk for lunch. There's also a margarita stand that sells Dole Whip! Snagged those after we ate and took the bus from the dock right there back to DHS. Fun fact, the boat docks super close to the entrance of DHS. Savi's only allows one guest with the person building, so the boys did that while the girls wandered. DD also had her heart set on a Santa cupcake from Rosie's, so we headed that way and I mobile ordered it while we walked and took photos. Some of my favorite PhotoPass photos were taken right between Toy Story and Star Wars along the rock wall. If a photographer is there, get in the line. Luckily, our line was super short. DD loved the cupcake, but it looked like a whole lot of frosting and not enough cake for me. The boys met up with us almost an hour later. DH LOVED his ceremony. He went on and on. If you or someone else is building a lightsaber, go ahead and buy the crystals that change the color of the blade while you build. DH did purple but then ended up going back to DHS by himself for the yellow crystal. He lucked out because only 2 were left and the CM told him they don't restock daily, so if they sell out, they're out. This was about the time DS and I went back on ToT using LL. Oldest DD was looking for a fancy dress, so DH and her sister were helping her in the shops on Sunset Blvd. DS & I had a little bit of a wait, but it wasn't too bad. We basically walked into the lobby, then int the library, then waited a bit to board the elevator. It was a good one, too. When we came out of ToT, guess who was on the balcony above us? Goofy! We did some more walking and then decided to try The Boardwalk Deli for dinner (already raved about this!!!). The kids had done all they wanted at the park and had zero interest in Fantasmic since we'd seen it in 2020. After we ate, DH decided to go back for his crystal and I took the kids to the Dolphin. It ended up taking him an hour because he decided to use the boats and Skyliners instead of walking. He's one of those people who likes to talk to strangers and will chat anybody up. (Not for me, thanks.) He had a grand time on the Skyliner and boat. He did take some photos for me since I missed out on DHS lit up. Saturday would be our final park day...

Here's mine:
1. Cry at Disney things. Yes.
2. Wear Minnie Ears. No, they hurt my ears.
3. Wear character clothes. Yes.
4. Go to a character breakfast without kids. Not yet but totally would do.
5. Take a bunch of castle selfies. I don't take many selfies but I do rope drop the parks just so I can take photos before it's crowded. And I also glare at people on the treehouse who are in my way when I want to take photos from up top.
6. Buy an expensive limited time collectible. I have definitely bought limited pins but am too cheap for anything else. I have a tiny collection of mugs that you can only get in the parks.
7. Wait a long time for an overpriced dessert. Um, yes.
8. Buy Disney merchadise. Of course.
9. Has a pin collection. Who doesn't?
10. Has a Disney Christmas tree. No, but we do have lots of ornaments.
11. Wears Disney socks. Yes, obviously.
12. Bought a baby Ewok outfit for the coming grandbaby. I hope! My kid is only 14 so we will be waiting a very long time. But you better believe we will also be taking them all to Disney as soon as they pop out. I really hope my aro kid wants to have kids.
13. Follow several Disney blogs and instagram accounts.
14. Can give anyone directions to anything in Magic Kingdom or EPCOT.
I will keep thinking on it. I know I'm not as bad as some but I really love it there and find it pretty magical.
