I just finished everything out, checks off in the mail. Oh and get this...my state sent me 1099-G's THIS YEAR for the last 4 years that we received state refunds and I HAD TO CLAIM ALL OF THEM AS TAXABLE INCOME!!!!!! and because I filed using Turbo Tax, when calculating the state return, I would have also had to have included on my 2018 federal as taxable income a state refund from 2018 if I were to have gotten one (we owed $1000). I swear to all that is holy this tax shit is for the birds. We paid over $70,000 in taxes out of our paychecks. And my hubby worked out of state for a part of the year, and those state taxes we paid don't count towards taxes paid in our home state, even though they are reciprocal, but we had to count ALL of his income as taxable in our home state---but could not use the other state tax paid to offset. Such a racket. I sometimes think these people doing the W2 for my hubby's work really are not doing it right. I just feel so screwed at tax time. You should be willing to pay 3 times that, you know universal healthcare and all. Your sarcastic antagonistic digs at me missed the mark. I’ve never said I wanted or was for universal healthcare, sweetheart. Take your trolling elsewhere. It’s not wanted nor needed here.

I am getting back the same amount as last year, but my SigO didn't fare so well. He knew this was coming, so he increased his withholding by $300/mo. He usually gets about $5K back after all the deductions, but because tax brackets were blended and a lot of deductions were removed, he only gets $1K back. He's none too happy considering he paid in an extra $3600 last year, AND his income didn't increase. It's not like he makes a shit ton of money either. He's super happy he's subsidizing the billionaires.

Instead of regurgitating the lies that Republicans want you to believe how about asking people who have actually lived it... Also, my mother spent a month in a German hospital. Their bill was 5000 Euros. My dad said in the USA they would've had to declare bankruptcy...so again, real world examples instead of scary rhetoric. SMH

I think for the first time ever we're going to have to pay rather than getting a refund. I thought Mr Trump was going to help me KEEP my money? No? 🤣🤣🤣

Ok since you think I missed the mark, how about double your refund and give it to something you do like, planned parenthood, you could even buy a small house that needs repair and give it to someone homeless because it’s President Trumps fault. Ever heard the saying put your money where your mouth it? Well it’s time to show the PEABOARD just how dedicated you are.

I usually get a refund of around $1500. This year my refund was only $450. But your paycheck changed in Jan so there was less withheld..... How did the amount you payed change?

And, You have absolutely no idea what I do or who we support. But I’ll go out on a limb and say that it’s likely 1000x more than you do. I don’t know what you’re hoping to accomplish by your idiotic, nonsensical, totally-not-related-to-the-topic-of-this-thread-trying-to-antagonize-trolling. So stop being an asshat.

*eyeroll* As someone who has paid taxes in countries with and without universal health care, I can tell you I was overall financially better off in the one that had universal health care. Without question. Why would you bother with coming back to one who doesn't have universal healthcare if it was so wonderful? I have reasonably good insurance here, its not like I'm going without it. I just pay more overall for it. I'm fortunate that I can afford to. But hey, snark away about something you clearly do not have the faintest real world idea about, except to use as troll bait.
