I've been using the Mary Kay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover for several years. Love it!! I use 1 cotton round per night, squirt a little on both sides. One side per eye.

I've been using Neutrogena Fresh foaming cleanser. Gentle on my face and eyes and takes off make up and mascara without heavy rubbing or scrubbing.

I just use my normal dual cleansing. The oil cleanser gets most everything, the water-based cleanser gets anything left behind. Occasionally, I need to swipe my mascara or eyeliner with Beauty Water after washing, but not usually. I don't use any waterproof makeup.

I use Avon eye makeup remover. It is a lotion and works well. It is in a white bottle with a black (or dark blue??) lid.

I’ve been using Mary Kay eye makeup remover for years. It’s the only Mary Kay product I use & I love it.

This is what I use as well. I've heard the knock offs on Amazon work well too.

I had a little sample bottle of MAC oil free eye makeup remover that worked great. I went to buy the full size this past weekend at a MAC store and found out it's discontinued. I went in Nordstrom to see if maybe I'd get lucky and the MAC counter would have any leftovers, and of course, they didn't. I talked to a sales girl at Estee Lauder and she showed me Chantecaille rose water eye makeup remover. It feels nice, and takes everything off, so I don't have any complaints about that. For the rest of my makeup, sometimes I use a makeup wipe (usually the Costco ones) and then micellar water, sometimes Farmacy green cleansing balm, sometimes Bare Minerals cleansing oil, or I might try one of the million samples of cleansers, but usually go the easy/quick way because I'm lazy and want to get on with the rest of the routine so I can get in bed and read for a bit before I fall asleep. Oh yeah, I have a couple Make-up eraser cloths and I'm surprised at how well they take makeup off, I just think they feel weird to me while they do it. I can't really describe it. When they're clean and handy though, I do use them sometimes.

Have you tried Mary Kay's Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover? It's the best selling Mary Kay product world-wide.As the product sits the layers separate, so it must be shaken before use. It's safe for women with sensitive skin and also for those who wear contacts. It's formulated to remove both waterproof and non-waterproof eye makeup. Here's a video to show what it looks like both before it's shaken and after. After it's shaken it will look milky. Apply to a cotton ball or cotton pad and it gently removes your eye makeup. I've also used it to remove lipstick and lip gloss. If you don't have a MK girl and you'd like to try it you can order from my web site. All MK products are backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you don't like it, just let me know and you can get product credit or a refund. www.marykay.com/sneff2/en-us/products/all/mary-kay-oilfree-eye-makeup-remover-180101

I have eleventy billion products in my bathroom, but, being honest, I mostly just use my pillowcase. I suck at washing my makeup off. Sleeping in your makeup at night isn't recommended. It can clog your pores and leaving eye makeup on overnight while sleeping can contribute to eye infections. Plus, assume that you slept with your makeup on last night. Some of it has rubbed off of your face and onto your pillowcase. If you don't either turn your pillow over or change your pillowcase all of the makeup from the previous day, skin oils, etc are being transferred back onto your skin. YUCK! I'll be honest enough with you to admit that I don't wash my face at night 100% of the time. But washing your face and brushing your teeth before bed are good habits to get into. It only takes about 5 minutes to do both.

I've recently fallen in love with Colleen Rothschild's Radiant Cleansing Balm. You put it on a dry face and rub your makeup off and then rinse with a cloth. It's so amazing and gets 100% of my makeup off every single time. I actually enjoy taking my makeup off at night now!

My Mary Kay lady said that every night you don't take off your makeup you age yourself 7 days. Ha, if that were true, I'd look 140 by now. I want to be good about it, but by the end of the day, I don't think I have much left on my face.

ETA that I also use a microfiber cloth to wash my face and eyes at night. I use a new one each day. Do you just wet the microfiber cloth with water to remove mascara/eyeliner?

I want to be good about it, but by the end of the day, I don't think I have much left on my face. While it may be true that you might not have much left on your face in the way of makeup, it is still a good idea to wash your face before bed. Anyone who wears glasses will tell us that just wearing their glasses gets them dirty. Oils from their skin, dirt in the air, air pollution all come into contact with the glasses. What's to make us think that the dirt is only going onto the glasses? It's not. It's also collecting on the skin. Link
Huffington Post articleWhy not do an experiment? Take a picture of your skin today and for the next 21 days wash your face every morning and every night. Then take another picture and compare them. I'd love to hear your results.

I don't use eyeliner but I do use mascara and eyeshadow. My mascara is a tube mascara so I just need to rub my eyelashes a little and it comes off. I should also clarify that I use a clean microfiber cloth each day, not a brand new one each day.

These are the alternatives to cotton wool that I'm going to try because I find the bigger cloths a bit unwieldy Make up remover pads gar can you report back when you’ve trialled these please? So JoP - so far I like them! They're a much better size, maybe 3-4 inches across approx, so much easier to use them for the way I do my face, rather than a big cloth and I use less product. I have tried just wetting them and was surprised that most of my waterproof mascara did come off but I prefer to then give a wipe over with eye make up remover too to make sure it's off properly. The same with my face - my brain is telling me that water alone can't dissolve all the ingredients of foundation, blusher, eyebrow pencil etc as well as the general day's grime/pollution and skin oils so I am using them with a cleanser and toner as I would a cotton wool pad. But one pad is enough for all that, using both sides, and I like the gentle exfoliation they give. So I feel good that I'm not using cotton wool any more and I think I'll have enough to use while some are in the wash etc so - all's good!

I use Clinique Take the Day Off balm for all my makeup, including eye makeup. If I only wear mascara and don’t need the balm, I use the Clinique wipes (same line). I don't like the using wipes to remove eye make-up because, even with non-waterproof mascara, I find I have to rub too much. I took your recommendation for the Take the Day Off balm. Bought it, love it. Thank-you.
