It's snowing heavily here, I don't want to go either! At least we don't open until 10.

I like my job. I really do. But two days off a week, isn't enough. I feel like we need to work 4 and have 3 off. We need one day to clean and run errands, one day to do fun stuff, and one day to just relax. That's my opinion and I'll defend it to death...lol...

Girl, I feel you. Even more so because I worked from home yesterday just to meet deadlines. I am soooo tired today. Ever since my DH retired, it has been super hard to carry on going to work every day! I'd for sure be on board with jeremysgirl's 3 day weekend suggestion, but I'm still holding out for that lottery win

Yes, the last 3 weeks have just been dreary cold and depressing. It's everything I can do to fling my ass out of bed in the morning to get ready for work. i've been an absolute slug in the evenings, nothing is getting accomplished except laundry. jeremysgirl I worked 4/10s for 2 years. I loved the extra day off. And that was pretty much my format, one day to relax and recover from the 4 day work week(high stress job), one day for fun and one day to get shit done. I will say it was kind of a trade off. Because working the 4/10s you had no life and no time the days you worked. But I would still do it again.

I would just be happy to not have to drag my tired butt out of bed at 6:45 (or earlier) virtually every.day.of.my.life. #dogmom #notamorningperson

I don't want to be at work either. I pretty much love my job and the people I work with/for but we are at the slow part of the year. Boring!!! Not much to do. I suppose I could delete a couple hundred old emails but that is as boring as going through my files and purging. I guess it's another day of watching Netflix/Hulu/Prime. I get so tired of listening though. I guess I could start a book on my Kindle (computer app) and read a bunch between episodes of whatever new show I pick.

Me too, and I really don’t feel well (stomach issues) but I’ve just been at job for 3 months so feel like I can’t even call in sick if I wanted to. I’ll suck it up and get dressed and go, probably. Lol. Oi.

His T and Th are 13 hour days though. He loves having Wednesdays off to get errands run and go to appointments. I should also add that he is retired and choses this schedule. I work M-Th and yes, three days off on the weekend is perfect.

In the beginning it was fine but lately I’m insanely jealous that I can’t stay home. He’s 15 years older though and chances of us enjoying any retirement years together are slim.

DH retired 5 years ago, due to his health. He's also 4 years older than me.
I am planning to retire in September. I have my fingers crossed that nothing happens to derail the plan.

Same. It snowed overnight and then got pretty cold (low teens) so the freeways were packed snow in some places, black ice in others, and chunky ice/snow sheets in others so the drive to work was stressful. Only 12+ years until I can retire...

My DH's weekends are Tu,Wed. I have regular weekends off. He just got this schedule in January, and it sucks. He used to have Fri, Sat off. Then at least we shared a day.... this really sucks. Today is his Fri.

Luckily my job gives us the option of doing 80 hours in 9 days giving every other Friday off. It's better than nothing. I could quite literally do my job in 3 days a week. Sometimes I am so bored and can't leave that I wind up feeling like I'm in jail. 😂

I've thought about asking to do 10 days over 9 like that, but I work late so often anyway just to get things done, I don't know when I'd fit it all in - add on 3 hours of commuting and I'd do nothing but work/travel/eat/sleep in the week. I'd be so exhausted come my Friday off that I'd probably spend most of it sleeping/zonked out, and then what's the point? lol

I love my job, but I hate winter, and my job isn’t a do-from-home kind of a job—boo for that! I’m so cranky and contrary right now that I should probably come with a warning label 😳
