UPDATE: I got the balls complete — but I will NEVER do this again. Thanks for the advice! Hi PEAS I need to adhere vinyl to a basketball. I have cut out the Team Logo and Player Name in paper for the templates. My thought is to use adhesive vinyl then seal with a few coats of mod podge... any other suggestions? Apparently it is not only students that wait until the last minute to turn in projects. SENIOR NIGHT IS TOMORROW and hubby/COACH just laid this on me

I was going to say this too. Vinyl needs a pretty smooth surface to adhere well. Good luck!

I think you'd be better off making a stencil and using paint given the surface texture.

mrssch-How did you end up getting the vinyl to stay on the basketballs?

BallI used permanent adhesive vinyl > rubbed the cutout onto the ball with popsicle stick >adhered with 4-5 coats of modpodge Adhering to the ball was soooo hard! Next time (yeah right) my husband suggested filing the ball to remove some of the texture. I’m just glad the seniors liked the final product.
