I've watched SNL since I was a kid in the 70's and must say, the show has had a profound impact on my sense of humor.
If you had to choose your top three all-time favorite sketches of recurring character sketches, what would they be?
Mine are (in no particular order) 1. Wayne's World 2. Kate McKinnon/Ryan Gosling/Cecily Strong Alien Abduction Stories 3. Cowbell (or anything where Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz couldn't stop laughing...)
I have to throw in that as of late, the Weekend Updates with the Trump brothers are pretty hysterical too.
Yours?

Matt Foley, motivational speaker. Without a doubt. I die laughing every time I think of him "motivating" David Spade and Christina Applegate. They can't even control their laughter.
"You'll be living in a van down by the river!"
Classic!

I don’t think I could narrow it down to just 3! A few faves I don’t see listed are the character Kristen Wiig played with the tiny doll hands, Horatio and Jimmy doing the Leather Man, and the Will Ferrel Jeopardy games with Sean Connery and Burt Reynolds make me cry every time. I was a huge fan of a Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on Weekend Update, but Collin and a Michael are what I tune in to see most weeks these days.

The Jeopardy parodies are my favorites and Will Ferrell’s deadpan performance as Alex Tebeck is priceless. “It’s therapists, NOT the rapists”.

The 2 that immediately come to mind are Cowbell (ours kids don’t get why DH and I crack up every time and we can’t explain why it is funny to us, but it’s now a family joke) and Peyton Manning’s United Way sketch about volunteering with kids.

I showed my dad and we laughed so hard. Looks like her, sounds like her, talks like her, it's too much. I had tears coming out of my eyes, especially for the one that aired right after our family reunion 😂😂😂

Schwetty balls, but I love the other ones listed. Except, AmandaA, Kristen Wiig with tiny hands! It gives me the creeps.

The kids and I watch the ‘Black Jeopardy’ episode with Tom Hanks over and over and over...it never gets old!! We also love ‘The Californians.’ Kenan Thompson might be my all-time favorite SNL cast member. He is just adorable. But, I also think Will Ferral is hilarious.

I think my all-time favorite would have to be Celebrity Jeopardy, the ones with Burt Reynolds and Sean Connery in particular.
I also love Keenan as Steve Harvey.
Dick In A Box and Back-home Ballers are two of my favorite videos.
The Prince Show with Fred Armisen as Prince and Maya as Beyonce
Celebrity movie auditions
Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz laughing during Jared's Room
The Land Shark
The Bees

It wasn’t a recurring sketch, but in the early 90s, I saw a Brady Bunch v Partridge Family skit. I was not a fan of SNL at the time but became one after that.

Stephon cracked me up each and every time. Bill Hader tried so hard not to laugh and I never saw him keep a straight face through a full sketch. Any Justin Timberlake sketch where he dresses as a wrappingp paper/ milk jug/etc up and sings veganville or wrapperville Cowbell!! D in a box

Hands down my fav sketches are the Celebrity Jeopardy ones with Will Ferrell and Darrell Hammond playing Alex Trebeck and Sean Connery. I watch any of those when I am feeling down and laugh my butt off. Throw in Norm MacDonald playing Burt Reynolds saying his name is Turd Ferguson and I’m dead. 😂😂😂
Pretty much any Will Ferrell sketch is going to crack me up.
The Andy Samberg songs, esp with Justin Timberlake. 😂
The alien encounter/ghost encounter/etc skits with Kate McKinnon are hilarious.

Payton Manning’s United Way commercial—hysterical!
And Hugh Laurie as “the Queen’s advance man” was one of the funniest things ever. He kept such a deadpan expression as he gave the hotel progressively ridiculous demands for the Queen’s comfort. The funniest part was trying to picture the Queen actually doing any of the stuff he described!

Impossible task!
SNL was the late night treat of sleep overs or babysitting gigs because we weren't allowed to stay up to watch it at home.
So many favorites have already been mentioned. I have to add almost anything with Steve Martin and Mom Jeans.
DD(21) is also a huge fan. She has a new phone case with "Dwight, you ignorant slut" on it, so I had to introduce her to the original Dan Ackroyd/Jane Curtain sketch.
