We nixed it.
You can all breathe a sigh of relief. We were going for so over-the-top silly, you'd know it was a comedy. In fact, it's a behind-closed-doors, so there's not description of sex at all, just romance. But when the cover came out, it didn't feel right. We played with the colors, the arrangement, etc. and finally suggested the idea itself didn't work.
Looks like you all validated our decision. Thanks!

It's a detective story - a private dick (aka detective).
The photo is a major turnoff. I wouldn't even pick it up to look at it in a free pile.
