miominmio - I hope you are feeeling better and that the doctors can work out what is going on. Dinner here last night was roast marinated chicken with pasta salad and green salad. Chicken purchased ready to cook, but the salads were homemade! Neither of my nephews are very adventurous eaters, so grills and salad seem to be the order of the day here, at least while it is staying so hot. I am going around to see my DiL again today. She had another check in at the hospital yesterday - they are having her come in every week now, after a little scare last week - baby is doing well, it’s now just waiting for it to decide when to arrive. I think my DiL is totally over the whole pregnancy thing - it’s hot, she has constant heartburn and is really sensitive to food smells even when she does feel like eating.

I HAVE JUST CHUNKED THE ENTIRE WAREHOUSE FULL OF ARROWS TO THE TRIBAL SISTERS WHO ARE SUFFERING. I WISH I COULD DO MORE AND COULD SEND HEALING POTIONS AND LOVING WORDS FROM THE DICTIONARY AND EXPERTS TO MAKE YOU ALL FEEL BETTER. I DECIDED NOT TO HURL A PICKLEBALL ARROW AT ANYONE, cadoodlebug We have been without power (no electricity for the well=no water) here for a few days so no cooking or even much eating. The power company just smiles and goes about fixing everyone else's broken and damaged wires. The wind was mighty so we are being patient; what else can you do? UNLESS YOU SCREAM ABOUT THE DAMN POWER COMPANY THAT WON'T COME OUT TO FIX 3 HOUSES THAT ARE LOCATED IN THE WOODS. SHEESH.So, we ordered pizza and salad last night and ate the leftovers tonight. I am not a fan of restaurant lettuce or toppings. But I digress and whine too much. Hugs and powerful (see what I did there?) hopes for peace, healing, and comfort to the tribe. Off to smell the armpits in all my dirty shirts to see which one is least offensive.

I had plans, but when I ended up in an ambulance because they suspected I had a heart attack, those plans were cancelled. Hubby had to come home from work early, and ordered take out, so everyone has been fed. Luckily, I’m home again, but with strict orders to call again if I need to. So no I’m sitting here, drinking tea, and freaking out every time my pulse quickens just even a tiny bit. Oh yikes how scary please take care of yourself!!

cadoodlebug, I'm so glad to hear that you had fun playing pickleball. Now you have a new fun thing to do. jeremysgirl, have you contacted your son's psychiatrist to see if he needs a med tweak? I'm so sorry that you're staring down a crisis w/your son. ((((HUGS))). Your tribe is here with you. scrappert, enjoy your new furniture. I love my recliner. Be careful, it becomes a way-too-comfy place to fall asleep. desertgirl, I'm sending you detergent arrows for your shirts, so that you can go out in public. It just sucks that you don't have power. I hope they turn on your power very soon. Meanwhile, warm blankies and dh cuddles are your friend.

miominmio how scary! I hope everything is ok. Well it’s the third last day of summer (nooooo!) and DSO decided to crank up the BBQ for only the 2nd or 3rd time this summer. I made satay chicken skewers with homemade peanut dipping sauce, homemade potato salad and store bought Asian salad. I also did some prawns and decided for some unknown reason to buy whole prawns so I could butterfly them. Never again. I had to cut their stinky heads off then butterfly them then pull out the gross poo chute..... yuk! Way too fiddly and stinky and I will never do that again. Wait, what? Your autumn doesn’t start the same day our spring does? Is there a reason for it? This is interesting!

Thank you so much, everyone❤️ It was scary for sure, and with my family history, even scarier (on my dad’s side, heart attacks are very common, even in «young» people, so many have had heart attacks before they’re 50). So I have a lot of doctor’s appointments to look forward to in my immediate future. jeremysgirl, I’m so sorry your DS is struggling again, I wish I could wrap my arms around you, and make it all better.

I made dinner and it was very well-received. I also found out we are having fun company on the weekend. (Not the kids but about 75 years of history!)

Never got a chance to post last night as we had about 4 hours of tremendous thunderstorms. DD's dog is here for the week and is terrified of storms, so I was cuddling him through the worst of it. Thankfully they are gone for today, though more may return tomorrow. Ugh. Dinner last night was some broiled tilapia, fresh corn cut from the cob and sauteed with butter and Penzey's Sunny Paris, as well as 1/2 a baked potato left from our Sunday grilling. miominmio - I hope you are feeling much better today. I'm sure that was scary for you. desertgirl - Sending good wishes that you get power restored soon. The longest we've gone without power was 14 days after Hurricane Ike. It gets old after just a few days.

miominmio Huge Hugs to you. That sounds so frightening! I am praying for you. jeremysgirl I hope that you feel better soon. cadoodlebug They have pickle ball at my gym. But only at night. At some point I may try it. Today I had both of my boys home sick. And I’m still under the weather. So all three of us went to the doctor. We all have sinus infections and we are all on antibiotics. Hip hip hooray. Not. Tonight, I need to go to my oldest son’s school; because he is doing a German exchange student program and will be going to Germany in April. Dinner was supposed to be homemade chicken soup because I didn’t make it the other day. But because I have been up for two nights in a row with the wind; I came back home and took a long nap. So we may be having breakfast for dinner. I hope everyone has a great rest of the day! Wait! Tell me more about the german exchange program. How long will he be there? Does he speak German? That's so cool.

jeremysgirl we got leather. It's called BlackBerry. Here are the pictures... The dogs will be mad...no snuggling with mama on couch. The furniture is beautiful. My dh and I have been looking forever and just can't agree on anything. So there we sit on our 18 year old couch. The dog takes up most of it now. So I hear ya about not letting them up on the new stuff.

(He's the black one in my profile picture) I never thought I would go with leather, but I really like it. So comfortable and we spoiled ourselves with getting the headrest that also moves - you can kind of see it out on the chair picture. I was ready to fall asleep in there last night, but Jax. He was not having his mama laying there all night! LOL

He is so excited and they will also be visiting Austria. He is going to be going to several churches, including the one where they filmed the Sound Of Music and to the tallest alp. And where the Sound Of Music was filmed.
