They raised the flag after they got back to the edge of extinction and the boat picked them up, so they’re no longer competing.

I'm sad that Wendy gave up on EI. She really rocked that challenge. She was so focused despite her tics taking over.

I missed seeing Wendy get into the boat. I’m surprised she left—she almost won that challenge. Keith, well I’m not as surprised. He almost didn’t go there in the first place.
I’m surprised Joe was that complacent. I think he was mad at himself. You can never take your eye off the ball when you are out there! And it shows what I know. I thought they were going to send Wentworth home.
What did you all think of the EI people being on the jury? I wonder if that a voting jury, or they are there until they quit or EI is not longer in the game play. I think it could be a lot of jury members who don’t see much of the game play, especially at the end. But, I always feel so bad for those who leave after only a few episodes. That we never got to know them. I feel like with EI, at least we get to know more of those early castoffs.
I liked that they showed more of the other tribe. Some had never even been to Tribal Counsel! We’ve probably seen less of them because we are also seeing the EI players. But I’d forgotten about Ron, and we finally have an idea of some of those tribe members.

While I wasn’t thrilled with the voted off players going to the Edge of Exstinction in the first place, once the rest of the players now understand about the twist and that all voted off players would be given a choice to go to the island and possibly return to the game, I was very surprised there wasn’t more discussion as to strategy about WHO they sent to the island that could possibly get back in the game.
For example, they sent Joe. He’s a good provider, and he can fish. So he could possibly keep the other players stronger by feeding them. If joe is still in the game feeding people anyway, maybe they should have kept him so THEY could be fed, and not the exiles.
It’s much less stressful, sitting out on the island, no challenges and no worrying about tribal council. And also the players there can become close, and that might add votes for someone who returns to the game. After all, if theyre all angry about being voted off, and one of “their own” gets back into the game and goes to final three, might not many of the edge of extinction jury members choose to vote for their exiled friend who made it to the end? If it was me as an exile on the jury, I might see one of my fellow exiles as the one who “outlasted” the best.

So did Keith and Wendy decide to go home after all? Why are they not on the jury? I was totally confused about that too. I was only half paying attention, but I rewound and Keith and Wendy raised the flag together when they got back. Well....duh...just rewatched. How did I miss that? I must have been dozing off...

I wonder how long they will do it for? how many will be left until they stop doing it? final 5?

I've read that they try to get into the game again around day 35. But that's just speculation.

I sort of wanted them to come back as a ‘tribe’ right before the merge & have a competition & last place tribe goes to edge of extinction.
Not sure how to ‘get rid’ of them but it could have been awesome competition

I kept thinking how much it would change the way the game had to be played if they came back as a group. It would mean for awhile team work & tribe strength would be more key as long as they had to beat another whole tribe or go to extinction themselves And who would want to send a good player to extinction basically giving your good players to another team. I just thought it would be an interesting dynamic. And when they kept gathering them instead of them going head to head like the last time they kept people I kept thinking how much of a new dynamic that would bring to both competitions & strategy

I watch it live and my daughter at college does too and we text each other during the show. We kept saying who is that guy? Who is that girl? I said I felt like they were sneaking new people in on us to see if we noticed - LOL. I like some of the "new" people. I had to rewatch the Wendy and Keith leaving thing. Very fast and not explained very well. I love the show and all the twists.

Well I for one was drooling over Joe's hair.. maybe I am reminded of my 80s youth and hair bands??? LOL
I think Joe is just frustrated....He's a damn good player, well liked and all that (and cute, just get rid of the mustache heehee!) and he just can't win cause of all that...... I feel for him and I like him at the end.. he's coming back and not messing around. LOL

I felt bad for Joe. You could see how frustrated he was at himself when he dropped that statue in the challenge because he knew his fate was sealed right then-he was getting voted out. I can't begin to imagine how utterly frustrating it must be for him to be such a great player and yet never be able to make it past a certain point because it also paints such a huge target on his back. With the E.I. twist he'll now have a chance to get back into the game and take some time off from all of the stress of constantly having to win the individual challenges. I just hope there is a Hawaiian sling on that island I'd love to see him come back in the game on day 35 and win this season. And I too love his hair. I too was surprised to see Wendy leave E.I. when she came so close to winning the E.I. challenge and getting back into the game. She did an amazing job with that challenge, but she also struck me as someone who didn't really care if she stayed or left. She seemed happy either way. The person I thought would leave with Keith was Reem. She'd been there since the beginning and was constantly complaining-I was really surprised when she stayed-especially with how poorly she did in the challenge. Isn't it funny how we are now finally being "introduced" to some of the folks on the Kona tribe and it's already merge time? I think it's because they've never lost an immunity challenge and we've never seen them at tribal council so we've never really heard from most of the players. To me they seem like a "glob of people" a group who's individual personalities disappear within the glob. Aurora? Who the heck is she? Has she even spoken before? Julia? Same thing. Julie's been running her mouth for a long time so I know her. She's the one that was complaining to another female player on that tribe asking "why aren't we looking for idols?" standing around and they couldn't figure out why, while at the same time someone else on her tribe found one. She struck me as not very game wise at all but lately she's gotten a bit better. The way they brought back the E.I. players reminded me a lot of how they brought back the voted out players they called the "Outcast" tribe in the Pearl Islands season except this season they are taking it further by allowing E.I. to continue further in the game. Personally I'm not a fan of this (even with Joe having another chance) and prefer Survivor the old style-once you're out, you're out. I know Survivor is constantly trying to appeal to the viewers and mix things up and I get that.

I love a good blindside! The look on Ron's face was priceless ~ I love that the episode was entitled I Am The Puppet Master. When Lauren fainted ~ which we all knew she was going to do ~ it was scary! I'm amazed she didn't hurt herself. Looks like next week's Tribal is a shocker! ETA: jackie, we've missed your comments!

I agree - I loved the look on Ron's face! I wish it was he who was voted out rather than Eric, but I still enjoyed it.
On a side note, I didn't realize that Joe lives locally to me until I saw an Instagram post from my home builder. He only builds around 10 houses a year and has one in the Parade of Homes each year. This year's Parade house is going to have a really neat swimming pool with a waterfall coming out of a huge boulder that is on the property. Joe and Sierra are going to host a pool party there at the end of the Parade. I'm not a pool party person (believe me, no one wants to see me in a bathing suit!) but I may go just to meet Joe and Sierra.

I was so happy to see some game play going on last night! I loved that Ron & Eric completely underestimated the young members of their alliance, thought they had David & Devins in their pocket and Devins was completely blindsided along with them. Poor Julie was obviously out of the loop on the vote, too, and really needs to up her "outwit" part of the game. Love that Kelley and Lauren still have their idols.
Loved the way Aurora called out the group at the IC and I'm not sure if Victoria gave her the win or really faltered.

When they started talking about Aurora, my first thought was WHO? Have I heard her name mentioned at all this season at any time?

I didn't post yesterday due to a migraine but instead I watched the Survivor episode over again last night. I know some of you on here don't like Lauren but I admire her athleticism and her game play. She gave it her all on that immunity challenge (the balance one) until she literally could not stand there any longer and fainted. What I couldn't believe was that selfish Aurora calling out and trying to make deals while Lauren was still passed out. Yes, I know Aurora couldn't see Lauren but she could here what was going on and that Jeff hadn't called out the all clear or that Lauren had recovered yet. Even the players that were out of the challenge were offended. I do not like Aurora at all after this display of selfishness, and am sad that she has an extra vote. Gale W I think you are right about that extra vote-it has to be used before the final 7.
I loved the way the game was turned around and Eric got voted out although I agree with the rest of you too that I would have liked it to have been Ron. But as long as it was Ron or Eric I was happy. I hate it when one tribe has such a huge advantage over another and just votes out the other members one by one. It makes for such boring game play. Now the game has been turned on it's ear and it'll make for a much more exciting game!

Has anyone watched tonight? That was a great tribal. I didn’t think I’d like this season, but I’m really enjoying it. And it has nothing to do with Edge of Extinction. It’s been very unpredictable for me so far. And every week, I end up rooting for someone else. This week...it’s Rick Devens. Are you the shark or the Minnows....I think I’m the poop!
