We like most everything at Aldi except for: peanut butter - it seems too oily milk - has a funny taste according to my family pasta - gets soggy even if you try to cook it al dente
I just tried their chicken breasts, pork chops and beef stew meat for the 1st time this week. I've always been apprehensive to try their meat, but it was pretty good!
Most of their produce is good and seems to last longer than from our grocery store. The only thing I don't have luck with is the bagged potatoes (5# idaho). The last 3 bags I've gotten, almost 3/4 of the bag was green potatoes.

I didn't see anyone else mention this so I thought I would... Aldi and Trader Joe's are owned by the same company. I love Aldi. I can't think of anything off the top of my head that we didn't like. Our produce is always good.

butter (I usually have a better brand at home for putting on bread, but this is fine for baking) They do have KerryGold Irish Butter, 2 sticks 1/2 pound $2.99, although sometimes Walmart has it for $2.88. I have had heard rumors we may get an Aldi where I usually do most of my big shopping, 45 minutes away. Please, please, please, Aldi fairy, hear my pleas!! Go to their web site and see if there is a place to make comments... DH also has a thing for the peach apple sauce pouches. Came in super handy after oral surgery when he couldn't eat anything. I carry the fruit/vegetable pouches in my car, better then grabbing a candy bar.

Also if it is not good or you don't like something, RETURN it for a full refund....

Our produce is always good. Aldi’s and Trader Joe’s were owned by brothers with independently operated companies. Sorry that may not make sense. They don’t own them together. One brother owned aldi, one owned TJ. One for sure has passed and his heirs inherited.

Sounds like most of you have much bigger stores than we do. Mine is quite small. My favorites are their chocolate/ almond bars, kitchen sink bakery cookies, pizzelle cookies - ha, see a theme here. I love the seasonal hams, I always get a Butt cut at a great price. Low prices on milk, eggs. Butter and cheese. The meat at my store always looks sketchy. I usually go in for the pizzelles or kitchen sink cookies and of course get more. But the prices are the lowest around here.

Pros: Their triple brie is to die for The prices on most things are cheaper than other supermarkets
Cons: I HATE that they don't bag your groceries, and that you have to chuck everything back into the trolley then take it over to the benches to pack into bags. This is the biggest reason why I don't shop at Aldi. I hate that most of the fruit and veg is pre-packed. I want to be able to choose my own produce, and only buy the quantity that I want, rather than whatever quantity in the package. It takes me longer to shop because they don't have regular brands so I have to look carefully for what I want. There are a lot of items that I cannot get at Aldi, so if I'm doing a big shop I would have to go to the other supermarket anyway. Ain't nobody got time for that!

My family thinks it’s just me! 😂
