I want to get a pair of Doc Marten Chelsea boots, but the price is outrageous, I haven’t had a pair of Docs for quite awhile, but in the past I used to buy the kids sizes because they were cheaper and they had the Mary Jane style I liked. I thought I bought size 5, but when I look at the Dr. Marten site it seems that the big kids size 6 is the same size of a woman’s size 7. Does anyone have any experience with these? Our Nordstrom is gone which is where I used to buy them, so I can’t go in person. Any help would be appreciated.

Every Doc Martens I’ve ever owned is smaller.
I’ve had to size up, so I always try them on with thicker socks.

Our docs are done in UK sizing. Are those US sizes? A kids US 6 is a ladies 7. Maybe you bought a kids UK 5 but they are a kids US 6.
I find it easier to go by the EU when switching from UK to US and across kids and ladies. 38 is 38 in kids or ladies, US or UK, lol.
The chelsea run big as well.
What size are your feet?

Do you have a Journey's near you? I bought some Doc Marten's there last year.
I should note that I bought the kid's size equivalent and I should have gone up at least 1/2 a size, if not a whole size. They fit pretty tight across the toe box.

Hmm, so if they're going by a men's conversion to kids, a UK 6 should work. I'd just try for a free return because it's all a bit confusing. Sorry, I'm not more help. I love my Docs so much,I have really narrow feet too so I hope you can find a pair that fit.

I think your big kid size is two sizes down from your adult size; I'm between a 5 & 6 and I wear a 3 or 4 in big kids' shoes.
I'd suggest Zappos.com if you are interested in shopping online. Their selection of Docs is huge and their customer service is the best.

Our Journey's carries both adult and kid sizes. I just went to look and my Doc Marten Courtney boots are a US child's size 6/UK child size 5. I wear a US adult size 8. Again, they are tight in the toe box, so I'd go up a half-size/full-size if I were to buy again. Child size 6.5 or 7.
