Nah our beef it pretty tasty. We've been eating it quite safely for 27 years since that happened. And I seem to be surviving just fine on the chicken we have hereb and every other thing. My point was you sounded rather snotty, but you sometimes do on these threads. We are used to hearing "rude Americans" here but I never seem to read rude comments from Americans about other countries; it's always the other way around. So you thought you'd be snotty too, fine no problem!

A "gut doctor"? What does that mean? Like someone who specializes in nutrition and weight loss?

I’m fortunately not a huge fan of fresh corn but I can down a whole bag of plain corn chips on my own with no problem. It pretty much has the same effect on my body as eating a bunch of sugary stuff and triggers more cravings, so it is a food I try to avoid in general (including HFCS).

Put the claws away ladies, this is just a discussion regarding corn. Certainly nothing to get p*ssed about.

My mom used to serve it as a vegetable. I do like corn a lot but don't eat it too much because of the carbs. I have a hard time turning down Mexican Street Corn though!

Corn is one of the most GMO'd foods in the USA. I still eat corn because I follow the WFPB diet and it's a whole food and a vegetable as far as I am concerned. I avoid GMO foods so I buy frozen corn at Whole Foods (their own 365 brand) that says on the label it's Organic and a Non-GMO product.
One of the best things I love about shopping at Whole Foods is that although it's still illegal to label foods as GMO in the USA (fing ridiculous) WF has gotten around that by labeling foods in their store as Non-GMO. I use corn in a few of my recipes so I'm not giving it up, especially if I can get around the reason why it's a problem.
There is a list of the dirty dozen (which are 12 of the most likely foods to be contaminated by more pesticides and herbicides than others) so you don't have to buy everything organic and the clean 15.

Misleading ad. Corn isn't a vegetable...it's a grain.

Misleading ad. Corn isn't a vegetable...it's a grain. Depends when it is harvested. Harvested young when it’s soft or on the cob it is a vegetable.
