As the on line crop starts, there have been some questions about sharing photos on this board. I am happy to help someone link photos from Flickr, but I realize there are other ways to do it. marie was wondering how to share directly from her phone. I understand some people use tapatalk? Could you please explain the process in response to this post? joblackford, could you please walk us through using Instagram to post pic's here? We had trouble with that the last time, but I see that the links are now working. Just wondering about the process? Also, if you have any questions about sharing photos, please ask them here and if I can't help you there will be people who can. I know we have discussed this before, but I was hoping to get it all into one place. Once we get this going I will sticky this thread so that we can refer to it whenever we have someone wanting to begin sharing. |

It turns out sharing from IG is pretty easy! I usually use this board on my laptop, so I start by pulling up instagram in my browser, by going to www.instagram.com and logging in if I'm not already logged in. You can search for the post you want by typing a user name into the search bar or navigate to your own grid by adding /yourusername/ after the instagram address or just click on your name or the little head icon. Click on the post you want to share in the grid and copy what's in the browser url bar - it'll be a bunch of random looking letters and slashes after the instagram dot com. Paste it straight into the body of your reply here and the picture and caption should show up here after you hit post reply. If it doesn't it show up might mean IG is having problems, but usually it's because the account is set to be private. I haven't used 2Ps through my phone but I would assume the process will be the same. You would just want to copy the link from the Instagram post by clicking the three ... in the right corner and choosing to copy the link. |

Using TapaTalk is very easy as well. just open the thread you want to post to and attach the image.
Orange reply button at the bottom and reply page has a text field and a big "Photos, Files" icon

FB is easy also - I upload to an album set just to me (so any of the privacy settings should work). Open the picture on FB - right click and click copy image address. Then here, click the picture icon in the toolbar above the quick reply window - paste into the top spot, add a name to the bottom spot and click insert image
This'll give you a pretty BIG picture in the post so after you post, click edit and then bbcode and look for where it says max width=100% and make that number smaller - I usually go with 40%

Try to post links to pix hosted elsewhere (like Flickr or IG) so that the attachments here don't flood the storage of this site. I know the mod has requested that people delete old attachments in the past to free up storage. If you link to IG or other sites, that's not a concern.

Ok! (We saw that dog at a Japanese temple and he gave us snuggles and nibbles - so cute!) Well, so anyway.... you can link to google photos just by clicking on the sharing icon (the branchey thing at the top of the photo) and copying the link, pasting it in here. But I'm not sure how to make it show up as a photo in the post. I'm not sure if it's possible. I tried pasting the link into thee image box but that didn't work. I'm not code-fluent so maybe someone else can help. But for now I'd say sharing from Flickr is probably preferable, but google photos is doable. |

Okay. I got the Tap a talk app a few days ago. Played with it a bit today, and managed to share a couple of photos on the June Photo Thread. Can someone tell me how to get the alerts from popping up on my phone now every time someone posts something on 2Peas? LisaDV? marie? nicolep? |

You are on an iphone right? Go into settings. Scroll down to Tapatalk and hit that. There you will find the Notifications, hit that. You can allow or not notifications, have sounds, etc. from that screen.

I did it with a product image from a website the other day, clicking on the photo, then right clicking, copy image address and pasting that into the insert image button. I forgot about the size change bit tho. lol. It was huge! The same basic method works for PRIVATE Flickr photos too. Instead of hitting the share arrow and copying the bbcode, like you would do for a public Flickr photo, you hit the download button on the far right below the photo (the down arrow) and choose view all sizes. That will load a page with ~a dozen different size options. Choose one that's big enough for people to see (since they won't be able to click through to your private page to see it better). One of the medium settings should work. Then right click on the photo and choose copy image address then paste that into the picture/ insert image button on the reply bar. The photo will show up here without taking up space but it will remain private on Flickr. |

Can someone help dald222 to share pic's of her anniversary pages here? She has already tried linking to her Scrapbook.com gallery (but that gallery wasn't showing up from her link) and directly from her dd's phone (but the file was "too big") |
