YES! And I'm not picky - I like the tidy dressy tartan ones as well as the casual utilikilt types. I've been trying to get DH to just *try* a utilikilt for more than 10 years, and he just WILL NOT do it! We work an Irish fest (so it would be totally appropriate/not stand out), and it's always super hot and humid. He wears cargo shorts that often end up rubbing his legs uncomfortably once he's all hot & sweaty. I swear, he'd like the kilt if he'd just give it a shot, but nope, Mr. Stubborn refuses.

Could you pick out the Scot in a line up of men in kilts?   Probably! That is a challenge I am willing to embrace. I bet you are 😄

My ex evil, sociopath, narcissistic son in-law pretended for years to be Scottish. He was not. His kilt was hand made for him in the UK. Taking money and food from my daughter and gc so he could prance around in his kilt for attention. So ~ no.

Yes for weddings or special dress occasions. Not really for just general about town.

I never really thought about it so I googled some images. The key, to me, is where the kilt hem falls. Below the kneecap—no. Top of the kneecap—yes.

If the man is confident in one, yes!

Absolutely - and add some bagpipes!
my brother wears one regularly, probably more than a suit so to me it is no big deal.

If they want to wear one, that's their choice and I support them in that. Especially if they wear it well. LOL
My favorite weekend at the Renn Fest is Scottish weekend when I'm guaranteed to see a large population of men in skirts and I love it.

Yes,there is nothing more masculine and sexy than a man in a nice kilt. Of course, it has to be a nice kilt and worn properly. I am Scottish so I am sure that is part of the reason. I am used to seeing men in kilts. But swoon...

Usually yes, but after watching Sister Wives, Kody should be banned from ever doing it again. He can go back to his bedazzled pocket jeans. ugh.

Hot men look hot in anything, kilts included. But it isn’t a look everyone can pull off.

I never really thought about it so I googled some images. The key, to me, is where the kilt hem falls. Below the kneecap—no. Top of the kneecap—yes. I was going to say this too. Whenever non-Scots wear a kilt IRL and on the screen, more often than not it is worn far too long and it looks ridiculous. I love seeing men in kilts although I really don’t like the Rob Roy shirt described in the OP. It’s pretty common to see kilts worn here, both casually (timberlands, jumper), and formal (black dress jacket, bow tow or tweed jacket, tweed tie) and they are always well represented at weddings. My DH is tall and skinny and I think he looks great in a kilt. I like stocky men in kilts too. I just like men in kilts, clearly!

Yes. I like the look of kilts, and I think most men look good in them. My Dh and boys have Irish heritage, so a few years back, when we were at the Irish Fest in St Paul, we bought my boys kilts (on the condition that they wore them for Halloween). I think they were seven or so when we got them? They were adorable, but I couldn't afford (or choose to afford) to completely outfit them, so the kilts kinda wore them LOL...but it was Halloween not a wedding or something. My one son wore his a couple more times after that before they got too small/short. The other son was self conscious about it, and wouldn't wear it again---even at the Irish fest the next year. I think the one who wore it again will probably buy another one some day. It just fits his personality. I think it has a lot to do with personality more than body type. Photos at my MIL's house. I attended a Scottish musical festival last week at a local college. Not only were the entertainers in kilts, but many men in the audience wore their kilts proudly...old men, young men, overweight men and thin men. There is no way that I would say that the older men or the heavy men did not look attractive. It's part of their heritage, and they all looked great!

Usually yes, but after watching Sister Wives, Kody should be banned from ever doing it again. He can go back to his bedazzled pocket jeans. ugh. omg, lol! Right? And there was a scene during the bridal dance he was sitting in the background with his legs spread wayyyy apart. EW. Ew. I didn't think the groom looked that good either, he looked uncomfortable like a stuffed tamale, lol. Generally though, I don't mind a kilt when it's a dress occasion. DD marched in our local St Patty's day parade and there were plenty of men marching in kilts and bagpipes. They were fit and looked hot. So did the firefighter bagpipe corps. Swoon! I like a good looking man dressed in their finest no matter the color he is or the uniform. Cowboy, Vaquero, Mariachi, Marine...
