Other than the start of the show, I barely noticed them.
The right person went home.

I agree, it was creepy and I lost interest. Watching the runway now.
The host & judges all look nice. Karlie’s dress isn’t my thing but she knows how to dress and carry herself well. She looks great.
Christian’s hair makes my brain hurt.
The first group - i like all 3 looks, but the first one was extremely flattering.
Second group - gross.
Group 3 - Like the first look but the other two were just odd. Motel comforter, anyone?
Fourth group - I like this set. They seem to go together well. The third look is really fascinating.
Last group - not really a fan of any of these.
I pick the very first outfit, or the third one in group 4 for the win, and the first look in group 2 to be out (but I don’t think they will since she’s so eccentric.

Are we going to have a season-long thread or do a new one each week?

I agree that was creepy! I didn't think any of them were outstanding and flute4peace I was thinking sleeping bag but hotel comforter works. I am happy with who went home she just wasn't focused or something and I can't see her getting better.

It wasn’t my favorite challenge but the person that had immunity is so super bossy, that’s not going to last long and stay on good terms with people. Christian needs to get glasses that fit his face...drives me nuts how they sit halfway down his nose!!! I’m irrationally annoyed!!

Are we going to have a season-long thread or do a new one each week? Up to you guys. I can make it season long. There doesn't seem to be many of us.

May I join in?
Gosh I hate team challenges. I feel sorry for those designers who get paired with the drama queens. I did like the winning teams cohesive looks. And I absolutely agreed with who went home.
Wacky tulle girl really hurt her team. They were lucky to be safe.
I did appreciate that bossy girl gave credit to her teammate for making the pattern for her skirt and making the bag. He deserved to win.
I love the mom of many (sorry, haven’t learned names yet) and hope she gets her mojo back. I loved her look on week 1.

Christian’s hair is not my favorite.
The right person went home. She seemed to have far less skills than a lot of the others.
Hester Sunshine (?) not sure her name is right. She is something else. The 1st thing she commented on was how she is not a team player. I don’t want to have clothes from a designer who has no personal style.
The winning team did a good job. I agree she’s bossy. She did point out to Sebastian about his design pointing to the vagina. She’s right the judges almost always bring that up.
I’m rooting for the mom of 5.

They should have sent both of them home. Both were hot messes and it feels like there's too many designers there right now.
I thought the challenge was OK, the body mod thing was just a gimmick, it was a fancy way of telling them to show off a certain body part...neck, shoulders, back, or chest. The winning team did just that and got it right.

I finally got to watching it last night. I love that there was a team challenge already. Some of these designers really need to come to realize they are horrible team players. They need to LISTEN to the advice they’re given, isn’t that why they’re here anyway? To learn more and grow? Well you can do that if you don’t listen. When Christian is warning you about bridesmaid fabric and tulle, why do you insist, and then end up hating it? I definitely agree with who went home.

it feels like there's too many designers there right now. I agree. Do they usually start out with so many? As they get weaned down we can start to get to know them better. Usually they start out doing all those silly make a dress out of garbage challenges, which I hate. I'm liking we get to see how they actually design/sew 1st.

I was super sleepy the past couple nights and couldn't watch this all in one piece. The body mods were creepy (IMO).
Normally, I love team challenges but I thought the second episode was a little early to start since I don't 'know' many of the designers yet. If I drank a lot I would start a drinking game each time a judge uses the words "organic" "fashion forward" there are others but I lost focus.
Still down for the season - I love Runway but 'back feather' and 'neck ruffle' stickers are not my things..and shoulder horns lol just awful.

I did appreciate that bossy girl gave credit to her teammate for making the pattern for her skirt and making the bag. He deserved to win. I knew Sebastian would win the challenge. His dress was beautiful. He made the sheer fabric completely disappear. I love the way it moved. And, I agree that it was a nice that she gave credit where credit was due. They should have sent both of them home. Both were hot messes and it feels like there's too many designers there right now. That's exactly what I said to my husband. They both deserved to go home.

There was a lot of bad fashion on the runway in this episode. I felt that about three teams could have been in the bottom. The right person won, and it could have been any number of them that went home--including Hestor Sunshine and all of the blue tulle she insisted on buying.

Team 1 and 4 were designing at a completely different level from the others and all did a fabulous job. I didn't find Tessa terribly bossy and thought that team worked well together. She gave great feedback to Sebastian and he whipped up the sweet purse for her as well as helping with her skirt construction. Jamall (the sleeping bag wrap) and Rakan (sheer muumuu) were lucky to have Sonia on their team. I'm not sure Team Blue Horns was any better than Team Feathers. All three outfits were ill fitting and ugly, but at least the horns flowed with the designs whereas the two on the bottom clearly weren't highlighting the feathers. PR Recap

I really expected not to like Christian Soriano. He was okay on his season, but when I’ve seen him since then he’s seemed pretentious.
I’m enjoying him as the mentor. I do find it strange that he injects himself not just during his one on ones. This week he made several comments while they were at Mood and a few in the workroom on the final day. Do you think Tim did that as well and they just didn’t show it?

Tim has said things in the workroom right up until they walk out, and even then, in the hallways.

I believe there are 16 designers this year and I think this has been the norm for a number of seasons but I agree it seems like a lot more. Too many to even begin to remember their names or stories. I think there are at least five that can be eliminated right off the bat...
I liked when they showed Christian interacting with the designers at Mood and in the workroom. So far, I think Karlie Kloss is doing a good job as a host.

I really like a pattern challenge. Get them out of the black and white some use all the time. BUT I do NOT like the way this blogger or whatever she is suppose to be dresses, or styles. blech!!

OK. what's up with the whole hiding the shoes thing? like figure skaters or something? Who dresses like that? I know this challenge is editorial, but they've been doing it on every challenge.

I'm so glad they sent Nadine packing. I think she knew she would likely be eliminated so she pretended to want to go. I'm also glad they addressed her rudeness to her model but they didn't know the half of it. What a bitch! I thought the winning look was almost as costumey as that pink striped monstrosity.

That pink striped look was something out of a Dr.Seuss cartoon.
Nadine was mean. Her model didn’t stand up for herself even when she was alone with the judges.
Hester’s look(print) reminded me of a picnic tablecloth.
I thought Sebastian should have won.

I thought Hester's look was cute and fit the requirement of being editorial.
Sebastian's outfit was perfect. I can see him winning the whole thing if he keeps that up.
The striped outfit looked better in the sketch.
Stop with the covered shoes!
Nadine was rude. I hope her model starts to stand up for herself soon. I think Renee does not like her either of she was the one that said "she gallops."

The striped outfit did look better in the sketch, but I still liked it. I was surprised it was on the bottom.
Heater’s look was super cute but I’m not sure I would have chosen it for the win, but I’m okay with it. The top three all looked really good.
The houndstooth outfit IMO was the worst. That was a crazy monstrosity of bunched up fabric. It reminded me of that one designer (her name was Pei or something) whose clothes all looked like she just threw swaths of fabric on her model and stapled or tied them in place. But I was still glad to see Nadine go home instead. She was just a big sourpuss who didn’t want to be there, was rude to everyone especially her model, and made an ugly outfit. I love that she just walked off the stage as Karlie kept calling out to her. And if that model is “plus size”, sign me up. She could have rocked any outfit. It always cracks me up when designers act like they can dress anyone and then behave the way Nadine did.
As far as Christian as a mentor, I think he’s doing a really good job. I love him. No, he’s not TIm Gunn but TIm is an icon fgs. and tbh, much as I love him, he often gave some bad advice.
Next week’s challenge looks ridiculous. It looks like they are not just getting their materials from the campsite, but staying out there, working there and having the runway there? No, that’s too much!
