I'd like to see more rich, saturated colours in non-specific designs - enough of Valentines Day, Halloween and so on (how can one single day require so many different collections!?) I agree with the llamas and flamingos etc, and the vintage themes too. I don't generally "do" animals of any kind (hmm....bears maybe!) and I'm getting tired of all the cliché phrases - does anyone ever use "best day ever" without thinking so that's it, then?!
Yes to modern, contemporary collections, work, technology and home-related, both urban and rural. Happy to have more food and book themes (but no more food coma, thank you) and versatile patterns and designs that will show off my photographs to best advantage - ie some backgrounds without too much personality. Travel collections without the usual clichés (yes to modern "real life" designs there too please)
Finally, I'm done with brush lettering, thank you. I'd like more clean, contemporary fonts or more space/places to add my own handwriting or whatever print I choose.
Thank you! xxx

Pineapples. I can't ever imagine sending a card to someone with a pineapple on it. I just don't GET it!

Pineapples. I can't ever imagine sending a card to someone with a pineapple on it. I just don't GET it! It was a long standing European tradition to add a pineapple shape here and there as a symbol of welcome (like on a gatepost or above a doorway), but I doubt that any of my friends would interpret a pineapple on a card as anything but "she must have had that card leftover" !

No more pink and gold heavy lines, donuts, diamonds, or hello. Enough of the childish ditzy printed paper. It’s ok if in moderation, but kids are only little for just so long.
I want prints and embellishments that work for teens and adulthood. I second the wish for the team phrases, realistic mom phrases and other animals. I would like some baskets, houseplants, flowers other than roses, gardening, fish, bees, farm animals that are not childish, or some just plain patterned geometric shapes to compliment the paper line. Some of my favorite paper had simple, thin hand drawn lines in several colors. It gave a punch to the layout, not themed, and easy to embellish. I guess I’m thinking of the old SEI or KI Memories lines. Oh and I’d love papers and embellishments with that Basic Grey feel. (Sigh)

the llama or the doughnut or the mustache or...that shows up in a basically unthemed collection? nope, nope, nope ^^^ this, this, this I don't know if it would count as an image, but I have collected 2 huge boxes of baby girl stuff. If I see another "Let her sleep for when she wakes she will move mountains" or "You are my greatest adventure." I will throw the entire box in the air and make a big mess for myself. Then the use once but included in every collection, "It's a girl!, Welcome home and Bundle of joy. Every single collection has the same cliché's. I can use it once, but I have probably 5 versions of the "Let her sleep" She's moving her bowels, not mountains. I need more Snuggle, smile, sleep, dream, eat, nursing, sweet, hugs, bath, play, ... The type of thing that goes on the 5 gazillion photos I take, lol!

Also slavery: "That exotic fruit, said Manegold, is as intertwined with slavery as the Confederate flag: When New England ships came to port, captains would impale pineapples on a fence post, a sign to everyone that they were home and open for business, bearing the bounty of slave labor and sometimes slaves themselves." archive.boston.com/bostonglobe/ideas/articles/2010/09/26/new_englands_hidden_history/

My daughter and I are actually reading Amos fortune in school right now so this intrigued me. I found this on a google search and it boiled my blood: Two very different stories, one glossing over the truth. Makes me hate pineapples.

I was at the zoo recently and was excited to take a picture of the flamingos just so I could use the millions of flamingo paper and embellishments that come in kits/packs. I walked up to the area they were in and the smell about killed me. I did not get a photo taken. I agree with lots of the stuff mentioned.

And can we get a dragon that isn’t cutesy. Give me some DnD creature like images. I love the bees and butterflies though. I got all of the HP dragons when Silhouette first started selling them. Then they all disappeared. Love me a dragon. Awesome!

Pineapples get a pass from me. I think they are pretty, tasty and remind me of my trips to hawaii. Catherine Pooler Designs just released a fantastic pineapple stamp set and has been showing some beautiful creations done with it.

Recently I asked my 17 year old niece if she would like a birthday card with a llama on it. She looked at me like I had 2 heads. She said "No, that isn't a cute animal to put on a card." I told her to turn around. In the pen behind her was a llama. (Or an alpaca, I can't tell the difference.) LOL!!!

Those dang birds "pee" on themselves (actually both pee and poo) to keep themselves cool. Gross, but you know nature. The manufacturers are just going to keep making what sells. That's why there is an overload of flowers. Too many people love them and buy the papers for them.

No more llamas, owls, foxes please. I just bought a large fox face because it reminded me of my pup! It is the kind of die cut with large spaces in it so you can put different papers behind it. And the area I live in is named after the fox. We also have a good supply of owls and llamas around too. Funny how what works for one does not work for someone else.

Ok, I’ll admit I really like llamas. They’rmy second favorite animal next to cats. I don’t like the cutesy ones but I did buy a nice Spellbinders die and a Hero Arts stamp/die set, as well as a few papers and some stickers. Might as well stock up while it’s still available.

The Princess theme for girl collections. My daughter was never a princess/diva type and we haven't been to Disney so I don't need multiples of crowns, wands, and magical unicorns in every girl line.

I really like flowers and bright colors. Pink isn't my favorite but it sells and so I understand why it's so prevalent. I'm tired of seeing lots of vintage images. Those types of papers just don't work for me because of all the modern elements in my photos. I often see people using them to make 3D projects though so I can see their appeal beyond simply scrapbook layouts. I'd like to see more: -Patterns, colors and themes regarding camping, hunting and fishing that aren't either little kid images or covered in camo. But!! I also never want to see "the mountains are calling so I must go" on a journaling card ever again. There must be some other phrases out there for adults that enjoy the outdoors! -Seasonal items. Like winter/spring/summer/fall. But not the holidays in them. Just papers and embellishments that relate to the seasons and how things change during them. -Roadtrip/staycation things. Realistic images, fun phrases, and map images would be great. Retro cartoon cars need not apply.
-Goals, home renovation, weight loss journeys, non-cutesy pet images, and modern farm life are all things I'd love to see the industry explore more.

I just came across another irritation that stops me buying a product - sorry, not technically in line with the "tired of" image, but since I'm on a roll with things that annoy me I was just looking at the Lilypad's deals today and there's a new travel themed collection I was tempted enough to open up. But - I won't buy anything that includes an image where the Taj Mahal is in between Big Ben and the Eiffel Tower!! It prompted me to reflect on all the world maps that leave Australia off...or that are weirdly misshapen or have odd boundaries and inaccurate placenames. And don't get me started on all the clichéd phrases... Sorry.

In our new house, it's wallpapered top floor to basement. The basement has a map wallpaper. Drives my history/geography loving son absolutely bonkers. He's like they have this depicting the era of time and this here depicts this era in time. In no era were the boundaries of these countries ever just like this. He ends with a vehement, "Pick an era, draw the world accordingly!"

I’m just dying to see something new. No more re-doing the same ole $&@“. An infusion of true creativity is sorely needed. Every time I see yet another “hello” I say “o hell”. Completely agree (after I stopped laughing!!)

I’m loving the pineapples out! I have lots of Hawaii pictures to scrapbook.
I’m tired of little girl dance images. Those little girls grow to be teenagers, and we have bare bones to work with for them.

I don't mind pineapples but I've already used a bunch. I'm running out of ideas on how to use them. I love flamingos, but I'm running out of ideas on how to use them, too.
I go to the zoo a lot and have tons of photos so I actually like all of the random animal images. I am especially in love with big cats so I will use all of the lion, tiger, leopard, etc. die cuts and paper I can find. I also love bats so I use Halloween paper for that. Camping stuff (trees, animals, etc.) usually works for zoo pictures, too.
I like cat and dog images but I'm so tired of cats = pink. I have a boy cat and a girl cat and neither one of them are pink personality cats. My girl is black so I find all of her stuff in Halloween themed collections. There should be more guinea pig, hamster, rat, lizard, etc. stuff- people have pets other than cats and dogs.
Only one of my 3 nephews is a sports guy. There is a lot of stuff available for him but not a lot for the other two. I need more music themed stuff and more stuff for teenagers! I'm tired of cutesy gender stereotyped collections for scrapping kids. I want stuff for teenagers that don't play sports. People continuously ask for collections for older boys and no one ever makes them! People always mention the Chap collection (I forget who made it) and I loved it, too. We need more stuff like that. And while we are at it, stop stereotyping dads, too. No more neckties! Not many men wear them. Collections for males don't have to be so themed- just give me good color schemes that aren't pink and more general shapes and phrases. And stop with the "boys will be boys". I hate that phrase.
I like cameras because you can always use them. I like some flowers but enough with the roses. I like butterflies and bees. I'm glad that I found moths in some of the collections- at least it adds a little variety. I like rainbows. I like art supplies, because I'm an art teacher and my nephew are artsy. Suns and moons are useful. I like cacti and succulents so those work for me.
I do use emojis, food, hash tags, and other things that I can fit on my boy pages. I like video game stuff. I also like stars, hearts, and other basic shapes.
"Hello", "Best day ever!", and ampersands have got to go. Way overdone. Actually a lot of phrases are cheesy. When I get a package of die cuts I always throw out the phrases I'll never use.
My beach vacations are usually on the east coast, so stop with the palm trees.
I can never find a use for a bicycle or scooter. Cars and minivans are good. I don't mind vintage images but that seems to be the majority of travel collections. Over it.
And Disney has a lot more colors than black, yellow, and red!
Evidently I have a lot of opinions on this.

No more llamas, owls, foxes please. Sorry, but I need *all* the foxes and I never thought I’d be saying that. My DD has basically chosen the fox as her spirit animal since Halloween two years ago when she dressed up as one for TOTing. Then that Christmas on a whim, I made her a winter hat out of orange and white fleece fabric left over from her costume with little ears and a black nose and button eyes to look like a fox. O.M.G. The kid ***LOVED*** that thing! It was her favorite gift. Her teacher even lets her wear in in class sometimes. She has worn that thing so much that I’ve started calling it her “invincibility cloak” LOL. But I’m definitely on the bench with you RE: the llamas and the owls.

Perhaps you remember the Becky Higgins fiasco (well, one of them, anyway) where she included a map in something that showed boundaries from some Napoleonic era or other? Sounds like she designed the wallpaper as well! I am glad that I'm not alone and congratulate your son for his eye for detail (and his knowledge of the world, too) He would get on well with our son, who had a world map as his bedding when he was young and surprised his GF by explaining exactly where Uzbekistan could be found. Noticing his GF's quizzical expression, he said "but Grandpy, I sleep with my ear on it every night!. Gill

Enough popsicles on summer paper lines. I want a paper that looks like corn on the cob...
I'm also tired of mopeds and the word hello.
I was looking at a mom line (I think it was Photoplay) and a lot of the papers and cut out sheets say "you're" not "I'm" the best mom ever etc. Since I would be the one buying the paper and scrapbooking about me it's disappointing. I guess it's supposed to be for Mother's Day, but I was excited about a mom line without pink...

I don’t get the cutesy arrows. I can see how an arrow embellishment can be useful, and I have used some for an Alice in wonderland theme, but I ended up with some papers with arrows slapped all over it and I don’t get it. Lol
