Thanks....sounds fun! I'm going to be starting a scrapbook soon to give my adorable great niece for Christmas. What does "iNSD" mean?

can you explain the 52 stories thing? I should so make a list of things I want to do to. I guess Paper Issues started some version of it (52 favorites, I think) that some (one?) of my IG friends did as a way back into scrapping after ditching PL or getting out of the habit of scrapping. I think the intention was to scrap a page of some kind each week about something you wanted to highlight and remember. A lot looser than the weekly PL approach that wanted something more like 7 little stories every week. At the end of the year you'd have at least 52 layouts done without too much effort. I'm sure some people didn't tie it to their weekly lives but just picked any old story they wanted to tell each week. TBH I never found a community talking about it so I made up my own interpretations. I'm doing an album that, in theory, is one highlight for each week - something fun we did. I've gotten a bit off track lately but I have a list going - 1. xPrance and Plunge, 2. xOK Computer cellos, 3. xOysters at Jo:a /Crochet a granny square, 4. x24in48 Readathon, 5. xTunnel to Viaduct, 6. Snowpocalypses, 7. Ditto? 8. xBehold the Dreamers event, 9. DITL, 10. ? 11. ? 12. Japan. The ones with x in front are pages I've actually made. I got bogged down by too many snowpocalypse photos and then I went to Japan and good grief, I don't even know where to start with a highlight for that! I need to go look at my diary and decide what the highlights were for weeks 10 and 11 and then however many weeks I was sick and then lazy after we got back... But anyway, I have the photos and the words, and I'm not trying to make it comprehensive. Choosing a highlight is a great gratitude exercise in itself, and encourages me to do something fun every week. If I know something good is coming up I'll log it in the list so I can look forward to it even more. I thought I'd add in some "currently" pages and some pages with movie posters and book covers and a page of selfies every so often too. I'm doing it as digital pages, mostly inspired by www.shannanm.com/ Thanks for asking because it's made me realize that I haven't been keeping up with the most basic task of choosing a highlight each week! Off to fix that!

I am hoping to check in throughout the weekend to see everyone's progress. I seriously need to purge my scrap room so I am going to focus on that and hope that all your beautiful pages will motivate me to get my room in order. I still have purging to do too I think lol. I’ve organized a lot, but I’ve definitely outgrown my space. I better start scrapping more and whittle down my stash lol

@iluvpink , yes a virtual crop. Hurray to no hubby to interfere. Last crop, my hubby took the kids away for the weekend, I was so productive. Of course, by 36 hours in, I was missing them. justjac , have fun at your IRL crop. I hope you get lots of goodies and make lots of pages. **GypsyGirl** , My youngest was born in 2005 so 2006 is just a blink of an eye. I hope you will be able finish the album during the crop. Anita , Of course, digital counts!! We don’t discriminate here. I do both traditional and digital but have been concentrating just on digital for almost a year with no sign of changing due to a move. Plus we have several others digital - AussieMeg , sleepingbooty , and JaneB (who is currently taking a 2peas social break) all come quickly to mind. I hope you will join us! myboysnme , oh, that makes sense. I knew you didn’t scrapbook at home. ComplicatedLady , please do come in, even if it is just to chat. birukitty , a trip album is a great way to ease back into scrapbooking. joblackford was just in Japan this March. And Ouch! A frozen shoulder and torn rotator sounds painful, but then to have a frozen shoulder in the opposite shoulder 3 years later. How awful! teacherlisa , the body is an amazing thing, but I just assumed you’d still have more PT for a broken shoulder. I can’t even imagine. thracian , oh, free comic book day, I know where my boys will be now. Chinagirl828 , yay! Glad you will join in. beachhappy22 , we love to hear about organizing endeavors. I wish you much luck and lots of energy. dasmith2 , you did do a lot of organization. --I don’t purge, I just store the box of less used items in the basement. DH knows I’m saving for the paper-shortage apocalypse. He says it'll be good kindling for the zombie apocalypse.

joblackford did you do the Tunnel Run/Walk or Tunnel Ride? Or are you scrapbooking the change from the viaduct to the tunnel? We didn't do the official fun run or ride but we went over and walked through the tunnel and then walked around on the viaduct on that event Saturday. It was a pretty fun day, even though they're "just roads." It was amazing to see how many people came out to walk around and say hello/goodbye. That moved me as much as anything - a sense of city identity. I was amazed at all the people who got out of their cars on the last night the viaduct was open for traffic - such a bad idea! We were watching the news, incredulous that the police were having so much trouble getting people to get off the road so they could close it forever. But I get the impulse. It was really interesting to see the world from that perspective but not from a fast-moving car. I happily said good riddance to that rotten old road! I'm looking forward to taking the ferry over someday soon and seeing it being torn into little chunks! We hardly ever used the roadway any more. But because we come into the city on the ferry we see and hear the viaduct and really notice how it cuts the city off from the waterfront. As a pedestrian who had to walk under it daily for some years I have always hated it. Have you been in the tunnel? have feelings about the viaduct going away?

LavenderLayoutLady , don’t you hate waiting for photos and goodies to scrap with? But from the 9th to the 15th – did it have tracking? joblackford , you’ve peeked my interest, can you explain the 52 stories thing? I should so make a list of things I want to do to. teacherlisa , Congrats on being able to go back to work!! Will you continue with your shoulder PT? or? Too bad your back to work date couldn’t have been 1 week later though. myboysnme , sorting and organizing? What no baby pages? MDscrapaholic , Yay! For serious scrapping. kitbop , that pesky work is a four letter word. msliz , I’m sure the DDs will glady share with you for one weekend. If not, lay on the guilt. I gave birth to you, XX many hours of labor (always doubling the amount of actual time), no sleep for xx many years, etc. etc. Linda , Elsabelle , christinec68 , anniefb , gmcwife1 , @calimom2 , YAY!!!! - I can’t wait. My pics FINALLY (!) came!!! 😁 The whole outside package looked like it had been chewed to bits, but the pics were fine. And this morning I used my g/c at A.C. Moore! I bought 3 12x12 paper pads for $7.88 each from a clearance end cap. One Christmas pad, one summery, bright pad, and one tonal patterns pad. I am very, very happy! 😁

Digging out from being snowed under at work and YDS getting married...I haven't scrapped since February! I am getting my life back together so that I CAN have fun for iNSD. I plan to follow along with Scrapbook Generation's online crop. I hope their challenges will work here. :-)

I walked the viaduct years ago during the Susan B Koman walk. My friends and I did the tunnel bike ride the Sunday after the walk It was fun and the tunnel was pretty neat. But the ride was a little overwhelming and scary It was my first organized ride and doing it with 12,000 friends was a bit much! Many of the experienced riders forgot what it was like to be a newbie. They rode really fast and were very intimidating. But it was fun and I’m glad we did it 🙂 I’m looking forward to seeing how they make the area where the viaduct was nicer! I forgot I used to walk under it too. My sister and I commuted from Bremerton to Seattle for a few years together!!

Thanks for getting this started LisaDV! I am excited for our very chill iNSD crop. I think it will be loads of fun. I have been on sick puppy watch this week so not much in the way of scrapping getting done but I am going to work on getting a kit together (HINT HINT!) for part of the crop and get that all posted soon! Anyone doing anything super fun for Easter this weekend?

Anyone doing anything super fun for Easter this weekend? We usually do an egg hunt at my parents house with all the kids. But as we are all getting older we only have two kids under 12 right now! So we are all doing our own thing for Easter and getting together for Mother's Day instead. Which gives me a free day on Easter since my three are all grown and the one that still lives at home will work a double that day.

Started coming on yesterday evening to catch up with everyone here, but DS was helping DH change out a toilet. The new in box one was broken, since DS didn’t know he went to pull a piece and cut his finger. DH checked online about when to take your kid in for a cut. I was thinking in was ¼ of an inch. The site he checked said if it was more than a millimeter, which is much smaller and I know for 1-2 mm we’ve never done an ER trip. But it was on a finger joint and we would rather be safe than sorry, so DS & I went to the ER. As he was freaking out over me taking him, I told him that his dad and I wouldn’t go for this kind of cut, but we love him more and want it looked at the “right” way. That didn’t help, he just thinks his parents are freaks. (he's not wrong) They didn’t do stitches, but cleaned it well and put on glue. They gave him a tetanus shot, as I didn’t have his paper work to say when his last was, although I thought in might have been 2015. Afterwards I took him for ice cream and we watched Netflix upon returning home. I did find out that our new town ER is really good and nice. We got there about 6:45 were in a room by 7:00 and were out by 8:00. The wait was longer at the DQ than it was at the ER. LavenderLayoutLady , hurray! I’m glad the pics were okay. Nice variety of paper pads selected too. pennyscraps, come on over here too on iNSD weekend. We’re laid back. We plan on just posting some inspiration that you can use or not use to your liking. We’re just going to hang out, share inspiration, and friendship. Any challenges from any site are more than welcome. Glad you are digging your way out and have set aside some “you” time. angel97701 , yay! Do you have something going on with the site you DT with? joyfulnana , are you taking a break from knitting your stocking that weekend to just focus on scrapping and having fun with your niece? woodysbetty , wow, I can’t believe how fast a house can get built! I’m so excited for you! I know you can’t wait to get settled in. crystalb , I’m sorry about your puppy. Is he getting better? Our Easter here will be very relaxed. Since we still haven’t moved everything and are still working on the cosmetics of the house, I’m just doing dinner. But MIL and her bf are going to come for dinner. We haven’t even found a church at the new house yet and I’ve said no to going on Easter for the first time anywhere. gmcwife1 , I’m reading that as you get to scrapbook all day on Easter! Well, unless your dh makes other plans for you.

KelleeM, wasting time on the internet is easy to do. I spent an hour today just looking for placemats. ugh. Still didn't buy any. Linda, chocolate is definitely a weakness for me. I ordered the kids, so had to order dh & I one as well, a chocolate bunny from sweet designs chocolates in Lakewood, Ohio. Seriously the best chocolate I've found outside of Switzerland. I can't wait for Easter.
