What all did you do?
We will have ds's 3 senior banners hanging and table cloths in the schools colors. I think I will get a trash can cover that is graduation related. We have a banner that says 2019.
Anything else cool?

When my daughter graduated three years ago, I did a Dr. Suess, Oh the Places You'll Go theme. I will see if I can find some photos. I have a new phone since then and I am not sure where I saved the photos from my old phone at. LOL
It turned out really fun, though. I bought a pom pom maker and made couple of garlands of yarn pom poms. I also used craft foam and made signs in the shape of arrows that I hung on my front porch. I can't remember what else. LOL But it was cute. I found lots of ideas on Pinterest.

For the oldest son, I made center pieces like this using my Silhouette in his school colors. In the example it has black boxes for photos, but I just glued two 4x4 photos back to back with a stick between the photos. So each table had a stick with 2 photos, the year, and either a grad hat or diploma all stuck in metal buckets. I used gravel to hold them all in. I have a huge old, vintage school blackboard in my dining room and I strung twine across it in several rows, and then use old photos that were clipped on the line with mini clothes pins. For his sign in book, I made a 'station' with Sharpies and had made a Shutterfly book with all his Senior photos in it, with the lyrics to a song he loved. Everyone got to sign his book, like it was a yearbook. I kept most of the decorations low-key. Everything was purple and white (school colors) and used galvanized metal for buckets. Used lots of photos in frames too. We had a BBQ so it all worked together. Lots of balloons too. Oh, and I made a freaking Piñata. Wont be doing that again. It was a huge hit, but a major pain.

We rented tall tables to discourage people just sitting down. It worked really well

For DS grad party last year, made a photo displace above a table that had various awards, albums, etc on it. Other than that, we decorated the dessert table with school colors and tableclothes on the tables. A few tabletop balloon bouquets and that was it. We just moved our sofa table into our breakfast room to a blank wall and hung the photo board above it. edited to add photo (sorry so large)

I bought this banner & put it on the garage so everyone would know they were at the right place. This one on the front door. I blew up photos of her friends & her & her boyfriend and hung them all around. It was fun for all the friends to go searching for their photo that they got to take home. Everything else was just black, gold & red. Different decorations, table cloths & plates from Oriental trading. I bought pop up garbage in the 2018 theme. We had a candy bar & only used candies wrapped in gold, black & red. With take home bags for everyone to take some home. We did a taco bar. I bought 2 of these bar caddies & put the toppings in those. You put ice in the bottoms & they have covers. It worked out great & looked nice.

For my oldest, I did a 4th of July theme (freedom) and for my youngest, I did a Caribbean beach theme. I didn't do school colors. I wanted something I could use for decorating later.

Our friend’s kid graduated a couple years ago and they kept it fairly simple. Plastic tablecloths, plates, napkins, cups in the school colors. Cake decorated with school colors. Congrats Graduate hanging decorations from Party City or somewhere, and balloons. Basic stuff. Our neighbor at the cabin made a huge 4’x5’ donut board for his youngest DD’s party out of pegboard and probably 200 pieces of dowels to hang donuts on. Framed the whole thing with decorative picture frame moulding and painted it so it looked professionally made. We saw photos of the thing and it was so over the top. DH saw that and said, “Oh hell no!” LOL! Way back in the olden times when I graduated, I don’t think my mom even dragged out any photos. My grad party was very low key!

For each kid, I made a pennant banner of school photos Pre-K-12th grade. I had some smaller pennant banners that I hung in the gazebo that were just green and gold. I bought wooden blanks at Michael's and covered them with paper. Easy and cheap.
I had balloons around the house and a big 2015/2017 out of styrofoam that I found on Amazon. I painted them black and just had to buy a "7" for DD.
I had a small table set up with their graduation swag--cap, tassel, medals, honor cords, etc. I put up a few photos with that as well as some of memorabilia that they picked out from over the years. I bought flowers from Costco and put them in mason jars, along with 3-D graduation hats on sticks that I made with my Cameo.
We had a slide show set up in the formal living room, which is open to the foyer when people walked in. I also had a few tables set up in there where people could eat.
For DS's guest book, we had a Jenga game and fine tipped sharpies. I made up a sign that said something like, "Thanks for helping me build my future. Please sign a block." It seemed appropriate, as he is an Engineer. For DD's book, I found a bunch of old fashioned keys and made tags for people to sign with the keys. Her sign said something like, "Your support was key to my future."
I put some of the 3-D graduation hats on the table with the food, and made signs for each items. (I have a ton of food allergies and wanted people to know what they were eating.)

We have a banner that says 2019. Anything else cool? That is similar to what we did - we also taped copyes of every school picture from K - 12 (in order) on a wall. He loved that and his friends gots kick out of it.

I had some generic graduation table covers. Each table had a bowl of red, white, and blue potato chips, a bowl of red, white, and blue M&M's, and a bowl of other red, white and blue wrapped candies. We had 2 trifold boards with all of ds' awards, along with his honor cords and valedictorian medal. I had a couple of photo books set out that I had made during high school baseball.

You could do some sort of photo booth set up with lights or streamers in the background. Have seen this on pinterest. I did a cupcake tower that was dessert as well as decoration. There was a stand and decorative toppers at our local party store. Thought I took a pic, but I can't find it.

My friend made graduation themed cupcakes using an upside mini PB cup, a square of chocolate and a little M&M on top in the school colour. We did not go all out on paper decorations. We had a summer party on our deck. I think we put out some balloons in school colours

My kid's school colors were green and yellow. I bought yellow flowers and cheap clay pots for each table. After the party, I planted them in the yard.

I went to a graduation party last year and the hostess did a great job decorating. The school colors were red and white, and she planted lots of annuals with those colors. I thought that was a really nice touch.
