And there is more..
John Harwood...
”as remarkable as never reaching majority approval at any point in his presidency is this from Quinnipiac polling:
a majority of Americans has characterized Trump as dishonest at EVERY point in his presidency”
And yet those who support him, like those on the trump train, don’t seem to mind his dishonesty.

”John Brennan: "If we see a lot of roller-brushing, it’s what they call it in the redaction business, of pages that are totally blacked out ... I think it reflects then the guidance that was given by Barr, and I think there will be legitimate cries of a cover-up." @msnbc”
I guess we will see tomorrow.

Another democrat that isn't thrilled with AOC's Green New Deal? Meanwhile, her own party leaders -- not old rich white men but Nancy Pelosi -- are minimizing her in the press. She's way too far left for her own party.

Just what the Democrats don’t need..
Edward Isaac Dovere...
“NEW from me - So far, the 2020 election is playing out exactly as Bernie Sanders had hoped. And that has Sanders thinking with growing seriousness that this could very well end with his election as president.”
“What you’ll find many of at Sanders rallies: people who say they’re devoted to vote for him, but will once again sit out if he’s not the nominee. That’s the kind of calculation that feeds the idea among his people he could actually get more votes than any other Dem vs Trump.”
I listen to what Mayor Pete had to say on Rachel’s show and I was really impressed with what he had to say. Even though he had made a remark another time that I felt threw Hillary under the bus. He made up for it in his interview with Rachel.
He is by far a better potential president then Sanders for a lot of reasons and we shouldn’t be stuck with Sanders because of this childish notion it’s Sanders or we will pack up our marbles and stay home.

General chat as we were leaving... "Oh, I know he's done things wrong, but I will still vote for him anyway!"

CNBC...
”Attorney General William Barr will hold a press conference to discuss Mueller report at 9:30 am ET Thursday”
From the article...
”Attorney General William Barr will discuss special counsel Robert Mueller's report at a 9:30 a.m. ET press conference on Thursday.
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will accompany him, according to NBC News. There was no indication that the report would be released before the press conference.
Mueller submitted the report to the Justice Department late last month. Barr will be releasing a redacted version of the approximately 400-page document, which details Mueller's findings about the Trump campaign and Russian interference in the 2016 election.”
Ah let the spin begins. Forget the spin, just release the damn report.

MSNBC: Re: NYT WH lawyers and DOJ have been discussing the Mueller report of the last few days, partially to help with the WH rebuttal.... Briefing should never have been done. Briefing the president on any report is wrong but one on himself, the president, really wrong!. Hugh Cloud over this mess..... What ever happened to separation of WH and Congress.. There is no way to have faith with the credibility of Barr.
DOJ had previously indicated that reporters would have redacted copies to be able to ask questions at the Barr press conference, which might have been planned for later in the day. Although there really is no reason for Barr to hold a press conference.
ETA: Oh and Barr/DOJ did NOT announce the press conference. dt did it on a conservative radio show a while ago..... So again another too close for comfort!

Is Donald Trump turning on Fox News?Analysis by Chris Cillizza, CNN Editor-at-large Updated 9:37 AM ET, Wed April 17, 2019 ** In February 2018, he was back at it: "Thank you to @foxandfriends for exposing the truth. Perhaps that's why your ratings are soooo much better than your untruthful competition!" And at a rally late last month in Michigan, Trump praised Fox for its "through-the-roof" ratings before running through a list of "great, great friends in the media" that included, among others, Fox News anchors Laura Ingraham, Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt, Tucker Carlson and Jeanine Pirro. All of which makes Trump's tweets about Fox News over the last 24 hours all the more notable. "So weird to watch Crazy Bernie on @foxnews," Trump tweeted of the town hall featuring the Vermont senator that ran on Fox News Monday night. "Not surprisingly, @bretbaier and the 'audience' was so smiley and nice. Very strange, and now we have @donnabrazile?" Later in the day, Trump was at it again: "Many Trump Fans & Signs were outside of the @foxnews Studio last night in the now thriving (Thank you President Trump) Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, for the interview with Crazy Bernie Sanders. Big complaints about not being let in-stuffed with Bernie supporters. What's with @foxnews?" Let's deal with the facts first. According to the Allentown Morning-Call, the local paper for the town of Bethlehem, where the town hall was held, the audience was composed of "various political and local groups in the area" and an assortment of public requests made after the town hall was announced. There were some pro-Trump people protesting Sanders outside the town hall, but the Morning-Call also quotes a Trump supporter who attended the town hall. So, there's zero evidence for Trump's insinuation that Fox News purposely packed the town hall audience with Sanders' supporters and barred pro-Trump voices from being let in. Zero. ** What's changed over the past 24 hours is the target of Trump's ire -- he's turning on his biggest media ally, biting the hand that feeds him. It is a simple fact that Fox News as a network did more to help elect Donald Trump than any other person or entity in the country. And it is also true that Fox News -- particularly its prime-time lineup including Trump's most loyal media ally, Sean Hannity -- have continued their advocacy for the President and his policies since he came into the White House. Which is why Trump is so stunned at what he views as a betrayal. Fox News, in his mind, is his network. They're the good guys. So why are they even offering Sanders a chance to have town hall at all? Sanders isn't nice to Trump. Heck, he's downright mean. So why is the President's network giving him a platform? ** Trump's sense of betrayal is as predictable as it is palpable. Even for a network like Fox News that, with a few notable exceptions, has given itself over to pro-Trump coverage, it can never meet the President's expectations of only good stories about "your favorite president." Trump expects Fox News, and really all media, to function as cross between a public relations firm with him as the sole client and a hype man. ** www.cnn.com/2019/04/17/politics/donald-trump-bernie-sanders-fox-news/index.htmlAnd who will he have left?!?!?!?!? As someone said last night , dt truly has no friends! As this goes on I wish Perez would change his mind and have a debate or 2 on FOX. IF only to make dt angrier.... Good exposure too!

Disgusted! "After Attorney General William Barr releases his redacted version of the report from special counsel Robert Mueller on Thursday, he should resign. His blatant partisanship disqualifies him from continuing as the chief law enforcement officer of the United States. Neither Congress nor the public will trust that he has been objective and fair in what he has decided to make public of the report, nor will they believe that he can handle any further issues surrounding wrongdoing by President Trump with integrity." thehill.com/opinion/judiciary/439386-why-william-barr-should-resignDisgusted every day by the GOP who won't hold this administration accountable while Trump continues to batter the foundations that hold up this nation. Gaming every game, twisting every rule of law. I detest anyone who continues to support this monstrosity of a "presidency"

Before reporters can read the report? It’s a press conference. How can reporters ask questions of Barr if they haven’t seen the report? So we’ll have an ideologue keen on protecting the president telling the public what to think twenty-five days after Mueller submitted his report, and has casually accused someone or some entity of spying on the Trump campaign without evidence despite said ideologue’s insistence on protecting “peripheral third parties.” Swell. The US is now officially a banana republic.

Newsweek... ”BETO O’ROURKE COMPARES GREEN NEW DEAL TO WORLD WAR II, SAYS IT REQUIRES THAT SCALE OF 'SACRIFICE'” Ok, where are the details of this “World War II sacrifice” that the American People must endure? That headline is quite misleading IMO. That wasn't what he said. He was referring to the existential challenge that faced the US ( and the rest of us) during WW11 and the sacrifices we made to protect all of us from what could happen to us and our democracy. Take that in the context of climate change then we are faced with a similar existential challenge to us and the planet if we don't do anything about it starting from now. It's the "challenge" he's comparing not the sacrifice. There will of course be some sacrifices made to the adjustment that all of us will have to do in our way of life to meet the challenge of climate change. But the sacrifices will not be the same as in WW11 but to get to the end goal the challenges will be equally as important.

Unfortunately the candidates keep talking about the sacrifice and/or commitment call for by the Green New Deal, but have not provided any details or costs. Until the details of how it’s going to get done and the cost, it’s just a bunch of words. Meaningless. Edited to add. Yesterday AOC released this little video through this tweet.. ”Climate change is here + we’ve got a deadline: 12 years left to cut emissions in half. A #GreenNewDeal is our plan for a world and a future worth fighting for. How did we get here? What is at stake? And where are we going? Please watch & share widely ⬇️“ Missing in her little checklist above is “How do we get it done”. Not once in this video were there any specific details provided on how we are to meet that 12 year deadline. I’m all for fighting climate change. I live way too close to one of the CA wildfires that in a matter of hours took out two neighborhoods and thousands of homes. You don’t need to sell me the importance of what has to be done.
