Thank you everyone. I am getting in sometime today. I am hoping to make an appointment, but will go to urgent care if I can't be seen by a regular MD or OB today. It is bigger this morning, but not more tender. I felt it the first time this weekend and obviously it is growing pretty fast, this morning it felt like a large egg.
I do have the best boss, I just told her after our meeting this morning I will be leaving to go to the Dr. and she does not even question it. She just hopes it can be dealt with easily.
Fun times ladies, fun times.

I think you are wise to see someone today.
I'd go for the OB/GYN.
I hope you find relief without too much trouble. Hugs, my Pea friend.

The appointment is set for 2:40 today. If I like this OB I will then probably set up my annual exams I need to get done.
I so avoid the Dr., it is not good.
I will keep you all posted.

I’m glad you’re getting to take care of! I was prone to cyst-like things on my labia during my 20s and I recall how painful some of them were and mine sound like nothing compared to what you suffer with.

I didn't even know things like this could happen. It sounds horribly painful!!! I'm glad you were able to get in to see someone today.

Glad you are getting it taken care of before it becomes a REAL problem. It will be a load off of your mind and you will be a lot more comfortable. I am one who avoids doctors and sometimes it doesn't end well for me. Good luck.

I also prefer not seeing doctors, but there are times one must. Glad it is being taken care of right away!

my all time favorite that required emergency surgery, 1/2 inch from my anus. A 6 inch incision, 15 yards of gauze and a scar I have never seen. Oh, you poor thing !!! And now you have ANOTHER one in yet another difficult area---- I just sent up a prayer that tomorrow's surgery and recovery goes well for you! Wayyyy TMI alert !!! I have also had the pleasant and wonderful experience of peri-rectal abcess surgery---OMG! My incision was NOT six inches like yours, though--OUCH! Mine turned into a painful fistula which required a second surgery.....yipppee!!! PLUS, the added fun of having to go to my surgeon's regular office several times to get the fistula treated ( I think it's "chemical cauterization?") ....omg, the medication he puts on it burns SO severely, I wish he could pre-medicate me/ knock me OUT beforehand! Annnd, it's SO embarrassing having to open the "cheeks" WIDELY..... (yours is painful enough being a 1/2 inch away, mine is ummm.....even closer to the anal opening.....yikes!) My surgeon told me that after this surgery, some patients end up with loss of control of the sphincter muscle and end up with a colostomy. I was so thankful that I didn't. What I REALLY loved was when my home health nurses would come to PACK (ouch!) my deep-ish wound and change the dressing....I assume you had that, also? OMG, I learned the hard way to take my Percocet about a half hour before they arrived to torture me (not that it even touched the pain!!!) They used FIFTEEN yard of gauze on you?!?! Omg, how long did your incision take to heal ? That was all 3 years ago, and it STILL causes me MUCH pain sometimes. Do you have to do sitz baths daily? If I don't, it's wayyy more painful. I have done A LOT of reading about these, and just like me, many, many (MOST?) patients end up with chronic issues, more surgeries, etc. (hmmm....the anal area is jussst not the best place to have an open wound that needs to stay PRISTINELY clean AT ALL TIMES, eh? ) You didn't mention if you have daily problems, but I hope not!

I had the same follow up issue. NOT FUN!! I did not have a home health aid, DH and my sister did it all for me. It got so raw back there from the bandages, that hurt more than the incision ever did. I do not have pain there anymore, but TMI!!!! it is really hard to completely clean myself after using the bathroom. The best part was I had to go to training for work and if I needed to have a bowel movement I had to go home because I would need to shower after to make sure the area was clean. Fun times I tell ya, fun times.
