I'll say Sunday.. just because I have always gone that way... but I see Monday as a leader as well.. lol
Now at work our weekends/weekdays start on Saturdays... Ugggg I HATE that.. for paperwork purposes.

In life and in my mind, Monday is the start of the week.
On calendars, the first day is often Sunday, but that's not real life.

Monday.
I can set anything electronic to a Monday start, but here in the US, all the decorative paper calendars I've found have Sunday start days, which annoys me.
We use a family Google calendar linked to Alexa for keeping track of everyone's schedules, but I like having a pretty wall calendar in the kitchen so I can refer to dates.

Interesting! Are you in US? No, the UK and it’s the UK default setting but you can change it in Settings. I rarely use the calendar on my phones so I haven't ever noticed. I just checked and both of my phones (one iPhone and one Samsung) are set to Sun-Sat, which they call the "default" setting. I've changed them both to Mon-Sun now. Every year I give my mum a calendar of English cottage gardens. I have it in front of me now, and it's Sunday to Saturday. But it was printed in Korea by an American publishing firm, so that explains it.

Since I'm a firm believer in "It's not all about me" Well, that might just get your pea card revoked.

OMG this is life changing!! I had no idea you could change it. Thank you so much! I’m Australian and “my” week starts Monday and it’s always annoyed me that my iPhone calendar starts Sunday therefore the weekend is split. This is a million times better, thank you!

I consider my week to begin with Monday. It is the first day of the work week and Sunday is the last day of the weekend. Funny that my calendars all show the weeks displayed Sunday-Saturday, but I don’t think of the week running that way, that’s just how the calendar is printed. Same for me!!

Dh and I just had this discussion yesterday. I asked him when we were going start a project, and he said, "I thought we weren't doing that until next week". And I had to point out that technically it was already next week. I just wanted to know when it was going to happen; didn't mean for it to get going immediately.
I usually consider Monday the first day of the week, but get confused when I see calendars that are set up that way. I have been programmed to look for certain days at certain spots in the week, and I look for Wednesday at dead centre.

Always Monday. Sunday is a winddown, get things done off my list and get ready for the new week.

Sunday because I'm in the U.S. I know other places do it differently. Not really a big issue. (If there's any confusion you can clarify... like if you're used to "dinner" being the evening meal and then you move to Newfoundland where it isn't and people get confused about that.)

Most of the people on this thread answering Monday are from the US. I don’t see what that has to do with it. I’m in the US and I answered Monday.

Monday
DH and I have had this discussion. He argues that the calendars start the week on Sunday; plus, his work considers the pay period Sunday to Saturday.
I don’t care what the calendars show. And, I’ve never really thought twice about it. In fact, on our dry erase calendar, I set the weeks up Sunday to Saturday since it is so common.
This year’s planner is the first that I have had that runs Monday to Sunday. It feels right because I plan for the following week on Sunday.
