I need 1 of something like this measuring 7x7 inches: Remember my county fair post? Well I registered for 3 still exhibits, one being a paper card. I went ahead and made an elaborate 3D box-card but then realized entrants have to submit it in a clear envelope for display purposes. Well, flattening the card defeats the purpose, so I'm on the hunt for a cheap display box I'm hoping they'll accept. The finished card is 6" wide, 6.5" tall, and 4 inches deep. I only have 2 days to find a box, and don't want to order 50 for just the 1. What can I use??

Do you have a Container Store near you? Or, try Michael’s. They have cases for baseballs and things like that in the frame section.

It kind of looks like something a corsage would come in. Would a local florist have something you could buy from them? or maybe the floral/wedding department of Michaels or Hobby Lobby?

I think a baseball or model display box would have fewer lines and edges obscuring your creation.

I think me0605's suggestion of a corsage/flower box is probably your best bet, but I think I've seen similar boxes at dollar stores. Not the box alone, but holding the actual item for sale, like a decoration. If you get desperate you could try Dollar Tree or similar.

I looked online at Michaels and all the display boxes were either too small or too big. I'll call florists. I tried a local cake shop who didn't have anything.

Acetate. Some have been successful getting/buying larger sizes from copier places that do binding.

Two more suggestions- How about a clear food container that you stand ion its side? Or, a clear tray (or one of those clear box photo frames) and put a cardboard over the opening?

Do you have a comic book store local to you? That looks like a collectors box (protector) for the Funko Pop! Bobble Heads. I suggest checking with a comic book store. Sort of a stretch, Walmart or Target by the cash registers where they have the collectible cards and such, maybe?
Good luck!

If you have any gift shops near you, that’s exactly the box that Christmas ornaments come in. I’d go by one of those florist/gift/home decor places.

Oh, yes corsage box!
Not sure where to get the acetate.... If I had to make it, I would make a bottom with a lid.

A food container is probably a last resort, trying to find something less heavy-duty if that makes sense. I called a florist, the size they had was short 1 inch. Comic book store didn't have anything.

Are you allowed to reinforce the card so it holds its cube shape, and then neatly wrap the card in clear cellophane?
Judges said envelope, doesn't have to be a box. Might open up your options.

That was also a last resort. Taking a cellophane sleeve from a 12x12 pack of paper and folding the corners down.

If you have an Office Max/Office Depot or Staples near you, check in their copy center. They often sell sheets of clear acetate to be used as covers for books and reports. Here's what you're needing on Amazon. But it's more expensive that I think it should be and don't know if it will get to you in time. Could you get 2 or 3 sheets of the acetate and create a box using transparent tape for the edges?

I bought some of those at Mangelson’s in Omaha a while ago. The ones I bought were smaller, but they had different sizes! Maybe?

not as crisp and "pretty" but could you just use a large ziploc bag? You probably have one, no running around madness for you.
I betting that's what a lot of the "clear envelopes" will be. They were/are at my local fair.

I’d also try Party City, or any other party goods store.

Clear Bags would be a great place to start.
I use the Canadian site but I believe there is a US one as well.
